Toyz A-GoGo is located in the Covent Garden Complex just off Walking Street on Soi 16.

Catz A-GoGo is now Toyz A-GoGo. A few familiar faces suggest that it is more a re-branding than a total change of direction. Nothing has changed in terms of layout or decor anyway.

Perhaps early days, but the bar was operating below my minimum threshold of a worth while venue. There were just 6 dancers present in the bar at about midnight... And 4 of them were dancing.

As has usually been the case at Catz the girls were attractive. But I prefer a bar where the attractive girls have time enough to sit at your side.

Hopefully will get enough momentum going in the near future.

Baby Boom A-GoGo is located just off Soi Buakhao but visible from the road at about the junction with Soi Honey.

I was well surprised on my visit to the bar. Rather than few older girls reported my previous visitors, the bar was full pretty girls. There were about 20 dancers and perhaps 15 of them would get a job anywhere on Walking Street.

I rather suspect that there was something temporary going on as it was left to the older girls to go and ply their trade and sit with the customers.

The small bar is well laid out with comfortable seating mostly with a good view of the side stage.

There were 6 dancers at a time on stage wearing a bikini or half according to their wishes. The music was a little loud and selected for the benefit of the dancers rather than the customers.

With cheap drinks, surely the recipe to attract a few customers from Soi Buakhao. It will be interesting to see if the current attractive dancing troupe can be maintained.

Hottie's Club is located at the back of the beer bar complex on 2nd Road opposite the main Mike's Mall.

I had read that Hottie's Club were trying a re-branding  as an A-GoGo but I didn't spot much evidence of this beyond one of the welcome signs proclaiming Hottie's A-GoGo.

The girls were dressed up in cropped blouses, bras, light skirts and knickers. In my book this is coyote wear so the bar has been de-listed from the GoGos section.

The girls were dancing on 2 stages with a couple of girls on each. They didn't seem very interested in the few customers so I enjoyed my cheap draft beer and departed pronto.

Pattayaland 2

Things weren't looking too cheery on Pattaya land 2 last night. In particular, Rodeo Girls had gone dark.

Kitten Club was very subdued too as they seem to have had dispensed with their previous large team of welcome staff.

The old Popcorn A-GoGo on the same soi is currently being re-developed. It looks unlikely that it will stay as a bar. I guess a shop.

So the count of GoGos where girls are dancing in bikinis or less drops to 81.

Not So Cheerful at What's Up Imagine

The opening time has been changed from the 9pm previously (I think) to 10pm.

I was in the Imagine from 10:30 to 11:10 on Saturday night. There were always less than 10 customers. There were about 7 dancers.

Imagine is not so cheerful because of high prices and few ladies.

Lady Drinks are 135 Baht and the bar fine is 1000 Baht.

Tips at Tramps

Tramps A-GoGo on Soi Diamond was re-visited on Sunday. They now had 7 dancers. The play mat was being brought into play should any of the customers be willing to cough up a tip.

Barfines are an expensive 1000 Baht with a minor concession of 500 Baht for short time.

Tramps re-turned as a traditional GoGo on 28th January 2010. It is located above Windmill Club on Soi Diamond.

At about 9pm on the first night the bar was lacking ladies leading to just a quick look see.

There was a play mat but it was not being used at the time. There were just two dancers in the bar and they were both wearing bikinis.

It is usually difficult to get girls before the bar opens so a return visit will be in order after they have had a chance to get going.

The bar offers draft beer at 75 Baht and soft drinks at 50 Baht.

There are now 83 bars in the Pattaya area that offer dancing girls in bikinis or less.

Madam T is located on 2nd Road a few metres north of Soi Pattayaland 1.

1st small neon sign you see says Alcohol Corner. Pleasant bar, pleasant staff, no hassle.

You must call in there just to see the toilet. Got to be nicest toilet in Pattaya.

Air Port A-GoGo is located Walking Street

125 Baht for bottle of Singha but with the amount of naked flesh around, well worth it, and no hassle at all for lady drinks.

OK if you're near the Jacuzzi or bed/stage at the back you will get a tip pot rattled at you, keep a few 20 Baht notes in your wallet for these occasions.

Shenanigans near have 2 branches, one on Thappraya Road in Jomtien (at the base pf the Jomtien Complex tower block condo), the other in the Avenue Mall on Pattaya 2nd Road

Called in the new Shenanigans in Jomtien. Nice but expensive, 110 Baht for a bott le of Singha. 260 Baht for draught Kilkeney (thats £5-20 in real money). Very quiet. No Irish music.

Shenanigans on Pattaya 2nd Rd also same price and guess what, no Irish music. Am I missing something about Irish bars in Pattaya. There are a couple on Soi LK Metro, again no Irish music.

Bamboo Bar is located on Pattaya South Road a few metres from the junction with Walking Street

Good music, but 130B for a bottle of Singha, ouch. Only had the one

Charlie Place  is located at the corner of Soi Diana and Soi Buakao,

Stayed for 18 days at Charlie Place, Charlie Bar is there too. The room was 800 Baht a night, less in low season. The room was good, no charge for bringing a girl back. Safety deposit boxes are at reception which is open 24 hours as is Charlie Bar.

Dicey Reilly's is the restaurant and pub (ie no girls) that is part of the Marriott Hotel at the Royal Garden Plaza on 2nd Road.

The venue was once the successful Shenanigans which moved across the road to the Avenue Mall. The Marriott replaced this with the More Sports Bar which never really took off so in December 2009 they re-themed the bar as Irish.

Called in one afternoon, Beautiful inside, lot of money been spent. Very quiet.

105 Baht  for bottle of Singha, 160 Baht for Bacardi Breezer. Food expensive too.

No Irish music. Looked through door 10pm one evening, still quiet, still no Irish music.

I've just got back from Jomtien and stayed in Soi 4. My local become Aeuws bar Soi 4.

It's a small friendly bar, no food but a Thai takeaway kitchen next door will bring you food at next to nothing prices.

The drinks are very reasonable Finlandia vodka and mixer 90 baht.

The punters are mainly Norwegian expats and very friendly after a few drinks especially if your a Brit.

The lady boss Aeuw is a lovely lady and makes you very welcome. As the evening wears on drinks appear for every one on your table and the girl points to some other table which bought them. Nice custom reminded me of Greek tavernas.

Takeaway bar girls in the evenings not young but very accommodating.

Baccara 15th December

Baccara A-GoGo had a soft opening on 17th December with an opening party to be held on 18th December.

The stage of the 1st floor is almost the same as Happy in Pattaya. But the dancers put on bikinis.

And the 2nd floor is almost the same as Baccara in Bangkok. The dancers are topless with short white shirts and mini skirts. And most of them don't put on under pants.

The stage of the 2nd floor is made of glass, so it's possible to see the dancers from the 1st floor. There are a lot of sofas for the customers like Bangkok.

The number of the dancers are much less than those of Bangkok. 1st floor:11, 2nd floor:7.

All prices (including Happy Hour, Bar Fine and so on) are the same as Happy Group.

There are currently 80 Pattaya area bars with girls dancing in bikinis or less

Baccarat began shows on 18 Dec. The show girls are from Beach Club. I watched 2 shows  one is naked dancers and the other is topless dancers.

The bikinis of the 1st floor dancers are changed everyday. And some are topless now.

The New Inn on Soi Khao Talo is up for sale or reant (sic) again according to a poster outside.

No surprises as it's hardly in a tourist area, food is very expensive and of only moderate quality and there are screaming kids running amok in the dining area. Seems to lack governance.

Tim A-GoGo perpetually baffles me. It has been going a long time and employs an enormous cast of service girls, hostesses and dancers. Yet I never find any particular reason to stay beyond a single beer.

There are usually half a dozen dancers on stage who are always overdressed in bikinis. There aren't many that arouse much interest but there have been a few attractive girls milling round though on my last visits.

The seating is limited to uncomfortable stools and the best bet is to find one where the wall can be used as a back rest.

The girls don't seem very interested in customers unless someone is recognised as a newbie. Then they are sure to receive a fair bit of attention.

The only obvious attraction is an interesting selection of rock videos played on the large screen TVs.

But really I don't see how they attract enough custom to justify the large staff. Perhaps I'm missing something.
