Air Port Club
New for 2008 from the people that brought you Nui's 2, Pinky Girl,
Hot Girls and New Star. Opened 1st Sep 2008
Beware of the very expensive lady drinks
Review from Malcolm, January 2010:
20 Baht notes
125 Baht for bottle of Singha but with the amount of naked flesh
around, well worth it, and no hassle at all for lady drinks.
OK if you're near the Jacuzzi or bed/stage at the back you will get a
tip pot rattled at you, keep a few 20 Baht notes in your wallet for
these occasions.
Review from Materialsman, Oct 2009:
10/10
I have
read on Forums that Airport is too loud, too expensive, too
small, but f**k me sideways, they are doing something right, and those
stewardess uniforms are something else, I love the way they appear to
have a sort of colour ranking with the uniforms, from the beautiful blue
of the stunning Hello girls and some service girls, there are also white
uniforms, red ones, and I even spotted one lady in a black suited get
up, very, very sexy in my view, and I am known amongst my peers as an
incorrigible pervert of the highest order, with a known predilection for
schoolgirl uniforms, but this stewardess concept done Airport Club
style blows that right out of the water, even the naked Jacuzzi girls
maintain tiny parts of the uniform.
The Club was absolutely chockers, virtually standing room
only, and I had to make my way back to the Jacuzzi areas before I could
squeeze myself onto a stool. If you think being trodden on is a
potential hazard in the Iron Club, then you wouldn't like Airport
one bit! It was so compressed in there wedged between the wall and the
first Jacuzzi, it was almost uncomfortable, but I didn't give a flying
f**k, there were so many naked girls squeezing past me that I managed to
cop a feel of more naked, tight ass in an hour than a Catholic Priest
gets in a lifetime! I feel I have to mention one of the Jacuzzi girls,
simply the largest pair of natural tits on a Thai girl I have seen in
years.
The girls here last night were just simply awesome, the
dancers, the show girls, the service girls, Hello girls and all, if you
can just block out the awful, loud car alarm music played in there, it's
the hottest joint in town, and I wouldn't hesitate to bring a newbie
into here for his first taste of life Pattaya style, I think it would be
enough to make him faint, even the Pope would have a ball here right
now, I just wish I had more time to be a regular visitor here.
Another girl on the platform next to the Jacuzzi was rubbing her
pussy up rigorously again a chrome pole, there were wet foam truncheons
being smacked against naked flesh with reckless abandon, there were
gorgeous, skimpy uniform clad girls gyrating on stage, total
bacchanalia, if I die, please place my ashes in an urn on the window
shelf right here opposite the Jacuzzi's, so I can enjoy the deliciously
decadent, debauched scene for all eternity. There is really no other
option available to me than to give this place a 10/10 based on last
night.
Review June 2009: Business
Class
The bar must be doing something right as it is very busy during a very low
season.
The bar is closest in feel to What's Up. It has half the bar devoted to gogo
dancing on a small set of stages and then at the back of the bar it has a water
feature and play stage with girls doing a continuous naughty show. And in common
with What's Up it has the Thai run potential to be a bit overly ruthless on the
quest for money.
The gogo dancers were mostly bikini clad with an odd one taking her top off. The
prettier girls were assigned to the fun stages at the back and were generally
having fun with the customers willing to feedback the fun.
The service staff make a mark with their fetching air stewardess uniforms which
definitely add a unique atmosphere to the bar.
Review from Materialsman, Dec 2008:
Peak Season
I was stuck in the only available space in the Club, well away from the bathtub
and Jacuzzi action, and right under a speaker close to the Club entrance,
nursing my 120 baht bottle of Heineken.
I will certainly be returning once the Christmas and New
Year Bar Fine wallet gouging levels are over, so, like a News of the World
reporter, after really enjoying the company, I made my excuses and left.
Review from Pattaya Addicts, Sept 2008:
Uniforms
This place has some service girls in great "air hostess" style
uniforms.
Review from Oukiva, Sept 2008:
Sky High Prices
I returned last night to Air Port Club.
Surprise : Coke is now 95 baht :))
I suppose they made a try during first days but had too many complaints
about this price. Good that they changed :)
Yesterday there were many many Japanese guys and many many people
smoking. The aeration/aircon is not correct or strong enough. Really
smoky inside. but nice and fun girls, so we stayed.
Review from Oukiva, Sept 2008:
Sky High Prices
I visited Air Port Club last night. Yes it could be successful.
Everything one likes in a gogo...except...
Coke or Soft drinks at 110 baht ! :(
Until now I think the most expensive was 100 Baht
in Super Baby and Super Girls
110 Baht for a glass with little Coke and lot of water/ice!
Some girls seem to alternate between Air Port Club and Playgirls
upstairs. But the end result is that Playgirls ends up with poor girls
compared with the very nice ladies at Air Port Club.

Reader review Dec 2009: Hassle
all the time
There are many girls and a show, but drinks are quite expensive
(juice or soft drink 150 Baht).
The worst of all is the staff, who hassle all the time asking you to
order more drinks. It's not a place I would recommend.
Bar fine 800. Lady 2000 one hour. If you want the lady all the night,
get ready to pay 3000 up. There are many places much better than these
one.
Review from Pattaya-Addicts,
November 2009: Hassle
Although the shows are noted as high quality the bar is currently
taking a persistent knock on the Pattaya forums for hassle.
Complaints include a minimum drinking speed for customers and
continuous drinks hassle from the staff.
Drinks are expensive and the girls quote short and long term rates to
match.
Review from
BiLLYiSaKiD,
May 2009: Homecoming
I first discovered Angelwitch in April of 2008 with a couple US
Marine buddies. Even with the high prices we were addicted from the
start! We even saw a lot of couples there…
We ended up there every night and I went home with the same hot lil’
cutie every time. And I thought I was a true butterfly! Not with this
one. Mamasan always made her wait for me… Now that’s service!
…When I managed to make it back to Pattaya in August, my little darling
was no longer working there but mamasan was and she made damn sure that
I had my pick of any girl on stage. She even offered to call my original
girl back just for me. I declined of course and took full advantage of
mama’s kind offer and walked out with a different girl every couple of
nights. With mama as a friend and as long as I took care of the girls,
no hard feelings. Not even so much as a dirty look… Admittedly that
freedom to butterfly was paid for in smiles, tips and ping pong balls!
Because my first drink was always with the head mamasan or the staff my
friends and I were always well taken care of… I’ll always make a point
to drop in to Angelwitch for a little “Home Coming” whenever I’m in
Pattaya.
Strong Points:
- Very Friendly Staff
- Clean!
- Best Sexy Shows…
- Best Dressed/Almost Dressed Dancers
- Date Friendly
Weak Points:
- Expensive
- Not the prettiest or best dancers
Review from Pattaya Talk,
April 2009: Great Shows
Still providing great choreographed shows although short on
customer/girl interaction and lacking much in the way of eroticism.
A good place to take a girl if you’ve already barfined and you can
stomach the sky-high drink prices.
Review Nov 2008: Popular
I'm no longer a regular visitor to the bar due to the very expensive
drinks.
The shows are worth the money for those that like choreographed
shows. In fact the shows are about the best in town. I also find
it a very good place to go with visitors who may not like the mongering
bars that I prefer.
However most of the time I am in participation mode rather than
watching mode, so paying extra for shows doesn't appeal.
But there are an awful lot of visitors in town who prefer watching
over participating, so the bar does deservedly very well indeed.
Review by Don, Feb 2008: Quick Quick
I've had a couple of bad experiences at Angelwitch.
First was in September when I ordered a coke, which was about the price
of a beer, and was hustled out of the bar by the waitresses for not
ordering another quickly enough. I though this may have been because of
my choice of beverage and that I’d be given more time with a beer.
The experience was enough to keep me away from the place until last
night, when my date asked if we could return. Unarguably they have a
great show and their fill dancers between the shows are very attractive
now – as they tended to be drab in the past.
But drinks are very expensive, and the waitresses were hovering as we
watched the show. I believe the couple next to us were harassed out of
the bar, but I kept a firm hand on my beer throughout to avoid
waitresses picking up the bottle – this didn’t stop one waitress from
getting up on her toes & peering in to it. Finally, although neither of
us had finished our drinks, we were told we had to reorder for the new
show or go. So we chugged our drinks in anger and left. We never did see
a full show and I expect the time we were allowed with our drinks was
about 20 minutes.
I do not come to Thailand to be angered, but these guys succeeded twice
in 2 short visits. I’d recommend to all others to stay away unless they
enjoy being treated like crap.

Baby Dolls
A-GoGo

2007 and May 2008. It is now one of most noted interactive gogos
Review by jj, July 2009: Most
naughty to most demure
Baby Dolls continues to enjoy its place among the top tier of Pattaya
haunts. The bar has it all and gets it all right! From most naughty to
most demure -- even the service staff -- are friendly and attractive.
If she sees you without a lady, Mamasan comes over to ensure that all
is well. Plenty of action everywhere one looks. If there can be any
complaint whatsoever it is that the electrical system seems bit dodgy.
On two consecutive visits, the power has failed but within 10 minutes
the fault was located and music and a/c restored. .
Review July 2008: Better Than
Ever
The bar is very good as outlined in previous reviews. Unfortunately
for the high season months it was a bit too good. I gave the bar a miss
for a few months simply because it was hard to find a seat, let alone a
girl to take care of you.
However the low season has depleted the excess customers and again
there is a good chance to take part in some of the almost legendary
entertainment.
There are touch feely shows on the play mat, the Jacuzzi and also on
part of the main stage. There is also more traditional gogo dancing on
the central stage and a few table dancing stages.
The service is friendly but sometimes a little stretched by the
amount of customers.
The drinks prices are very reasonable.
There are plenty of pretty girls on hand but maybe not quite the top
selection in Pattaya, as maybe the interactivity is a little too much
for many girls.
News May 2008: Under New
Management
The bar has changed hands and Ricky is the new frontman.
Review by Serigala, Jan 2008: The
Only Place in Town
Having read other reviews about Baby Dolls my wife and I thought we’d
have to check it out.
The other reviews were spot on for the liveliness, lots of nakedness,
interactivity and downright good fun.
The only place we stayed for more than one drink.
The only place that we ST’d a girl.
The only place that we could say we were welcomed and looked after by
the mamasan, service girls and dancers.
The only place we felt they wanted us to be there, and to stay.
The only place where the smile was the norm, and not the exception.
Coupled with reasonably priced beer and happy hour until 10pm, we gave
this place top marks and first on the list when we visit Pattaya again.
News Nov 2007: Captain Sensible
Manager Gary has accepted a good overseas job offer and has now
finished work at Baby Dolls.
Review by Johnny, Nov 2007: Best
in Pattaya
Baby Dolls is hands down the best GoGo in Pattaya right now. Full
nudity seems to be encouraged, perhaps possible because of the
off-Walking Street location. 'Anything goes' at this place. Non-stop
shower/hot tub and separate bed (pad) show is really hot. Up close
seats, and girls happy to have you help with baby oil, soap, nipple
caressing, etc.
This place is a really great time. MamaSang is top notch, happy to buy
you a drink if you have bought plenty yourself and she will IMMEDIATELY
correct any problem and make it right. For instance one shy show girl
wasn't giving a good performance so MamaSang yelled at her to get wet
and encouraged a customer to rub her entire body down with soap.
Review by eyebee, Nov 2007:
Hidden Gem Revealed
At the moment Baby Dolls is totally rocking. Loads of girls, with a
lot of nudity and naughtiness.
The customer base has picked up too. Up till now its been Pattaya's
hidden gem. I guess I'll have to share it with others now.
New manager, Gary, seems like a good egg.

Review February 2010: Bar
Psychology
Baccara must be one of the most focused bar designs in Pattaya. The
downstairs floor is totally dominated by the large central stage
sporting a dozen girls with plenty of space for more.
On one side of the plush bar there is tiered comfortable seating
overlooking the auditorium stage. The bar goes one step further than
most, by providing ring side armchairs. Inevitably these are facing the
stage and this adds to the domineering focus of the dancing stage.
There were a dozen dancers on stage either topless or bikini clad
depending n the wishes of the girl. They were surely above average and
were putting more effort into their dancing than most bars. The music
was dance friendly and set quite loud but sensibly not as loud as some.
There is an upstairs bar area where the dance floor is transparent
and located directly above the downstairs stage. Presumably if you are
sitting around the main stage you can look up to the upper floor dancers
and see that they are wearing less than their downstairs sisters. I
couldn't see anything of note from the side seats though.
The wait staff is male and they are dressed in striking polo shirts.
Presumably not intended, but this is very reminiscent of bouncers and
security staff at Farangland venues. The fact that these guys tend to
circulate around the stage whilst serving, gives the impression of them
patrolling and guarding the girls.
The whole bar design reminded me so much of the places back home
where I really would rather not be. With unattainable pretty girls
hiding behind glass or else guarded by bouncers ready to slap you down
should you make any attempt to get near the dancers.
Of course this is simply not the reality at Baccara. The girls are as
friendly and approachable as you would expect. And the guys really are
there just to serve you a drink.
Maybe just me, but I didn't really enjoy being reminded of the
restricted fun allowed in strip bars back home.
Review by Ishi, December 2009:
Happy Prices
Baccara A-GoGo had a soft opening on 17th December with an opening
party to be held on 18th December.
The stage of the 1st floor is almost the same as Happy in Pattaya.
Bikinis or topless and the uniforms are changed daily
And the 2nd floor is almost the same as Baccara in Bangkok. The
dancers are topless with short white shirts and mini skirts. And most of
them don't put on under pants.
The stage of the 2nd floor is made of glass, so it's possible to see
the dancers from the 1st floor. There are a lot of sofas for the
customers like Bangkok.
The number of the dancers are much less than those of Bangkok. 1st
floor:11, 2nd floor:7.
All prices (including Happy Hour, Bar Fine and so on) are the same as
Happy Group.
Baccarat began shows on 18 Dec. The show girls are from Beach Club. I
watched 2 shows one is naked dancers and the other is topless
dancers.

Review from materialsman, October 2009:
A solid 9/10
I really like the
Beach Club, although I seldom look at the dancing girls displaying
their freshly shaven havens, not because I am shy or favour the
bushy bush look, I actually do prefer a bald or trimmed pussy,
it's just that I think this place has some of the most beautiful
hostesses in town so my gaze is always diverted to them, plus you can
actually sit quite comfortably on the sofas and enjoy the beer without
being hassled if that's what you prefer.
There was some pretty
fine looking girls dancing in actual fact, and although the Bar was
fairly busy, it doesn't seem to be popular amongst the locals doing
their nightly crawls, no problem with that, all the better for me, a
solid 9/10 in my humble opinion!
Review from materialsman, July 2009:
Hostesses
Into Beach Club, stepping through the curtain about 9 p.m. and perhaps
because it was a Friday night, quite a reasonable crowd in there.
I am not a
lover of the table dancing type places, but certainly this place doesn't seem to
be on many Board Members nightly perambulations, in fact I did a search for
reviews and got pretty much nothing by way of a recent reviews of the place.
Now, being a shy sort of chap, I find it hard to look the girls in the ahem, eye
so to speak, in this place, and frankly I have never seen much eye candy up on
the tables to make it worthwhile, what I have always found however, is that the
place has some of the most beautiful and smartly dressed hostesses in Pattaya,
and sure enough within about ten minutes we were hit upon by two beauties, one
that grabbed me was a real honey, and the one with my friend was gorgeous, slim,
sort of back combed hair, loosely modeled on Amy Winehouse, except without the
skanky tattoos and heavy drug problem, an assumption confirmed when one of her
songs was played on the sound system, that fact in itself must make the Beach
Club kind of unique.
Review Jan 2009: Never Changing
I have been popping by Beach Club for 4 years and I am sure that just
about nothing has changed. Maybe there is now a little less emphasis on
a 20 Baht tip for the girl to squat down. Presumably the novelty has
worn off somewhat.
The bar is always popular, the girls are consistently attractive and
there are always plenty in attendance.
Maybe the draft beer has gone up 5 Baht in the 4 years which shows
consistency in attractive pricing.
And for some reason I consistently fail to find any girl showing much
interest in your reviewer.
I guess it is more a bar for watching than playing but the management
of the bar consistently know what's best to get the customers in.
Truely a Pattaya success story.
Review April 2008: Watching
The bar always seems popular. There are plenty of pretty girls who
dance on a pretty long circuit. Most girls are knickerless under skirts
with open blouse. Some wear more and some wear less.
A few customers were being looked after by the girls, but mostly this
seems to be bar for watching rather than interacting.
Small beer glasses mean that the 55 Baht draft price tag is not quite
the bargain it appears. But nothing to complain about.
Tips are the usual order of the day to get a closer look at the
dancer. But saying that I didn't spot too many customers with a fistful
of 20's to give out.
Always good to see a popular but I left it for those that were
enjoying and moved on to a more interactive bar.
Review from polleke, Oct 2007:
Party time
When I entered at 1am, I found myself in the middle of a party. There
were lots of girls most of them average but a few pretty ones also. They
are all topless with skirts with nothing underneath. Some dance naked.
Got into a talk with one of the more beautiful and energetic girls
and apparently one of the popular girls.
The more beautiful girls can make more money on tips, lady drinks and
ST than LT so that is not a popular option. It's all about money.
Review, Feb 2007:
Legs all the way to the Ceiling
The second dancer on the circuit to entertain at
my table was a beauty. She was incredibly long legged and had the
flattest tummy I have seen for a while.
All I could dream about was that she could dance
at an altitude where I could smile and make eye contact.
Unfortunately it was simply too uncomfortable on the neck to do more
than glance at her dancing way above my head so I sat back and
watched the dancers on distant tables instead.
Scanning the rest of the bar, there was one guy
having a lot of close up and personal fun with one of the girls. But
my beauty had just started on what looks like a very long dance
circuit. My dreamworld, long legged, potential partner for the
evening would surely age another day before being able to get back
to my side.
So I surveyed the scene for a while revealing
plenty of good looking girls many of whom were dancing topless.
There was an all male service staff and a whole host of hostesses
doing nothing but occupy seats.
Good to see many pretty girls but I do prefer to
view girls at eye level so I quickly moved on to a less lofty venue.

Review by Rick G, March 2010:
Draught Free
Beavers is one of the few table dancing clubs that seems to
work in my experience. I usually have some fun there, so I thought this
might be a good place to refuel before continuing my evenings
exploration.
There were about a dozen girls, two or three good looking girls, and
about 7 or 8 customers. The uniform is an attractive red satin outfit,
with a short pleated skirt and a bikini top, rather clumsy platform
boots and knee length white stockings. The girls wore no panties but
none were topless.
Draft Beer Bt 55, Lady drinks Bt 120, Bar Fine Bt 600.
Review Feb 2010: A Short Break
The bar closed for a few days last week reportedly for a bit of
rework. But if that was the reason, I couldn't spot anything that had
changed.
There was a good crowd in the bar and 6 of the tables were being used
for dancing. Unfortunately there were not really enough spare girls left
over to look after the amount of customers in the bar.
The girls were dancing 2 songs at each table making a dance stint of
12 songs. Ludicrously long for anyone waiting for a girl to finish.
This was probably not a major issue though, as there weren't really
that many girls that would inspire such a marathon wait.
Still, the girls were friendly enough and the customers seemed to be
enjoying themselves. So I left them to it.
Review May 2009: Dance Marathon
The bar is consistent in its pros & cons.
The plus side is that the bar employs good looking girls who are
generally hands on friendly.
The negative side is that the girls have a marathon dance roster of 2
songs on each of the 6 tables in the cycle.
The table dancing girls also angle for a 20 Baht tip to squat down
for a close up show. But I find this a little passé and keep my tips for
those giving good attention at my stool.
The bar employs quite a lot of girls for a small bar so it always
seems lively.
Review Dec 2008: Always Worth a
Try
It took me a long time to work out how to get the best out of the
bar. It can be good fun but there are several pitfalls to avoid.
What makes the bar is that the girls are hands on, friendly and
generally good fun. The downside is the overly long dance stints couple
with the inconsistency of numbers inherent in a small bar.
So what do is first of all is do a quick scan of the bar. If it is
barfined out, and there are few girls in attendance then a U turn is in
order. Try again another day as the girls will spend all their time
dancing.
If there are sufficient girls, then I choose the table at the back
left of the bar which is the last on the dance rota. Choosing the girl
from this table enables a decent amount of time before she has to go
dance again.
And the chances are then good for a memorable visit to the bar.
Review May 2008: Plenty on Show
I have read a few good write ups of Beavers of late saying that there
surely are some naughty girls in attendance.
I have always been a bit sceptical though as I have missed out on the
fun in several visits and not even seen much naughty stuff going down
with other customers.
But a recent visit pleasantly confirmed some of the rumours. I
was well looked after by a very friendly and hands on girl.
Not quite an ideal bar though, as there are a few fundamental flaws.
Firstly the bar is too small for any comfortable seating. Secondly the
dancing stint is too long, and when your lady go dance, it is a
cue to move on to the next bar. Thirdly I am simply not keen on table
dancing. It gives me a crick in the neck and I find it somewhat
undignified to stare up at a girl.
Update:
It has been pointed out to me that maybe I should have cast my gaze
downwards. I would then have spotted the mirrored tables and perhaps
also the inspiration for the name of the bar.
Review Aug 2007:
Cramped
The opens earlier than the 8pm norm so can be quite
useful if waiting for 8pm.
It always seems hard to run a small gogo as there is
not much flexibility should a lot of girls get bar fined. I have been in
a couple of times when the remaining girls are near continuously
dancing.
The bar gets a little cramped if there are a lot of
customers as all the tables seem just a little to close to each other
for the amount of stools dotted around.
Long dancing stints and small glasses of beer are
other faults of the bar.
On the positive side there are several colourful
characters on the staff and I have seem a few customers get some good
personal attention. I've never been one of the lucky few though.

Byblos GoGo
Bar
Coyote dancing on the ground floor. There is a gogo bar with a bells
& whistles show on the first floor and there is another on the 2nd
floor. Not sure whether this is just overflow when busy.
Review February 2010: A Little
Bit Different
At first glance the downstairs bar operates pretty much as per most
Walking Street GoGos. There is a small dancing area in the middle of the
bar were a few girls dance in the usual range of attire.
The remainder of the girls circulate amongst the customers in the
comfortable seating arranged in bays. And hands on fun is definitely
available at this bar.
There is usually a mix of girls with a similar range to nearby bars.
But there seems to be a different set of rules with regards to
interactions with the girls and tipping.
No doubt down to attracting more Asian customers than farangs, due to
its Pratamnak Road location. Perhaps understandably, the bar has adapted
to these changing needs.
My impression is that one has to be very quick to buy a lady drink,
lest you get categorised as a time waster.
Having made the upfront investment, things return pretty much to the
usual pattern for a while with the girls being good fun. However after
an unspecified while, I got asked for some outlandish requests for
hundreds of Baht tips. No problems in refusing these requests but time
to leave anyway.
Anyway a pleasant enough couple of visits, but not on my regular
circuit.
News June 2009: Re-opened
The bar re-opened on 27th June
News June 2009: Closed
The bar is reported to have closed. As yet unclear whether this is
down to lack of trade or maybe a police closure. The target audience for
bells & whistles shows though has been hard hit by economic, political
and flu woes.
Some of the ByBlos girls are now to be found at Club Boesché
Review June 2009: Pretty Girls
I heard rumours that some of the girls that had previously moved on
from Coyotee's A-GoGo had ended up in By-Blos. And indeed, the
downstairs bar is now boasting 10 or so very pretty girls. I can't say I
recognised any of them though.
They also have made a good improvement in that some of the girls now
dance naked.
I was also intrigued by the booth that was curtained off, surely
looks a promising idea.
I would have stayed longer but the girls didn't seem to be overly
interested in customers and the 65 Baht draft beer was a bit off. But
interesting enough to schedule in another visit.
Review December 2008: Bells and
More Bells
I was ushered in to the ground floor bar with half a dozen coyote
dancers. I am afraid I associate excess clothes with an excess of prices
and an excess of unfriendly attitude, so I back pedalled and opted to go
upstairs.
I did note that it seems strange to have different styles of
entertainment on different floors when none of the staff pointed out
available options. I didn't spot any signs suggesting that there was a
gogo upstairs either. One presumes that the welcome staff think they
know best where to guide people.
Upstairs the bar was well into a bells and whistles shows And if you
like that sort of thing, then this bar seems to do the complete works
with every variation on the theme that I have seen to date. It was
interminable with not a single act being anywhere near sexy.
There were dancers waiting in the wings but the tedium of the show
predictably got to me first.
Draft beer was a reasonable 65 Baht and the service was good. No
hassle from the girls either.
News Dec 2008:

Review from Pattaya Secrets,
June 2008: Bye Bye Byblos
It seems that the bar hasn't proved a
long term hit with Pattaya farangs and the bar is now targeting
customers using touts on 2nd Road. This tends to attract a more Middle
Eastern/South Asian customer base than the Walking Street norm.
The bar has also opted for bells and whistles shows
And just to complete the transformation to inanity,
the draft beer is now set at 90 Baht and bottled beer is 140 Baht.

News November 2009: Treadmill
The decline seems to be continuing at Carousel with very little in
the way of entertainment.
The bar organises the girls into two dancing shifts with quite a
few girls on stage at a time. About half the girls were topless and
the rest were bikini clad. Perhaps a little below the Walking Street
mean, but there are still a few attractive girls.
The problems are more to do with a lack lustre atmosphere and girls
that rarely show much interest in the customers.
Perhaps the bar could replace the male wait staff with girls, there
may then be a little chance of interaction with the customers.
But in the meantime the bar seems to lack ideas.
News May 2009: New Management
Reported as under new management. The bar has introduced the
Prosecco line of imported Italian wines in a can. Apparently well
known throughout continental Europe,
Review April 2009: Still Around
One of the more conservative gogos in Pattaya that has stood the
test of time, although I am not entirely sure why.
The circular stage slowly rotates with half a dozen dancers
onboard. Most girls were bikini clad and a couple were topless.
Probably an average team for Walking Street which means that you will
always find a few to fit the bill.
The bar has shows but I somehow I missed them this time round.
Without the shows, the bar is a bit forgettable. Basically sound but
with little negatives such as male service staff, not quite enough
comfortable seating and not quite enough customers for atmosphere.
I was a little set in my ways and had more or less decided on a
quick visit as soon as I ordered my beer. With the benefit of
hindsight I think I should have stayed a little longer to have fun
with a perky slip of a girl who breezed my way. She caught me being a
bit of a Mr Grumpy.
Review from Pattaya Secrets Oct 2008:
Lady Cocktail Scam
Went in last night and it seems to have improved. A lot of new
faces in the line-up since my visit.
Bought a couple of lady drinks and only got ripped-off for one
cocktail.
Review Oct 2008: No Progress
The bar does not seem to have progressed in the long time since my
last visit.
It is never a good start to a visit to be shown to the
uncomfortable stools because the dancers are occupying all the
available bench seating.
This doesn't improve much when my drinks order is taken by male
service staff.
Hardly a bargain draft beer either at 75 Baht for a small glass.
The girls are organised into 3 dancing shift. 2 sets of gogo
dancers and a team of about 4 pretty girls that do the show. The show
is sexy, but nothing that puts the bar above the competition. The gogo
dancing is also pretty standard topless fare.
I didn't spot any of the girls circulating amongst the customers
when waiting to dance. This was leaving a rather listless atmosphere
amongst the few lonely looking customers.
Seems about time to get a Jacuzzi installed and to employ a few
lively lap dancers.
Review Nov 2007:
Small Glasses
A brief visit to check out any changes brought about by a new
manager. I detected that the dancing girls may have become a little
more animated than usual.
But the only real change I noted, was that draft beer had increased
in price from 65 Baht to 75 Baht. This actually makes for a very
expensive beer as the glasses are very small.
This puts the bar in the top ten in Pattaya in terms of expensive
beer but it certainly isn't top ten material in terms of shows, girls
or sexiness. It is a middling bar, living on past glories and is
simply poor value when charging premium prices.
But that does not mean you won't find an attractive girl here,
there are a few around the bar. The dancing girls operate in two teams
with maybe 8 on the stage at one time. The dancing is punctuated by
pleasantly erotic shows.
Minor gripes are the male service staff and the lack of comfortable
seating being exasperated by the resting girls claiming a lot of it.

Review February 2010:
Consistent
The bar was one of the market leaders in setting up a loud and lively
environment inside and a large team of very attractive welcome girls
outside. The same spirit is now most popularly exploited by Airport and
Iron Club but Casnovy is still pretty good.
The bar employs way too many dancers, hostesses and wait staff for
the amount of customers but it gives the bar an illusion of being
continually busy, even when it's not.
The bar usually has about a dozen dancers on the go spread across the
3 rows of stages. The less inhibited girls generally stay on the centre
stage. The dancing is punctuated by naked shows that are not really so
different from the standard dancing.
I've usually found some good, attractive and friendly company from
amongst the dancers but it is not really a 100% guaranteed deal.
The draft beer is cheap and served in bigger glasses than most bars.
Usually this all adds up to a good time.
Review June 2009: With a Little
Help from my Friends
I had read a couple of forum postings that Casnovy had declined a
little. The bar still seemed to be doing fine to me but saying that the
dancers that I know there were nowhere to be seen.
But all was not lost, I know service girls there too, and I was soon
set up with an attractive replacement. She proved good company and so I
had a good session.
The bar has plenty of girls both dancing and on hostess duty.
Chatting to my service friend it seems that service staff aren't allowed
to sit with customers. I thought this was a bit strange as there well
enough servers to cover for a couple staff taking time out to sit with
the customers.
Beer prices are reasonable and the music wasn't quite so loud as
during previous visits.
So still on my list of gogos well worth a visit.
Review Jan 2009: Upward Path
The mix of very loud music, a massive staff and reasonable drinks
prices put Casnovy on the top tier, especially over the busy season. The
bar seems very lively at the moment.
Maybe they have so many staff and girls that it would still seem
lively with no customers.
The pattern is table dancing on the 2 side rows of tables and dancers
alternating with naked showgirls on the central stage.
Perhaps the music volume is set a bit high for a long visit but it is
an integral part of the bars atmosphere, so it is surely here to stay. I
did meet one girl who left the bar as it made her ears ache though.
I've sometimes thought that the showgirls are a little fussy about
sitting with customers but after getting to know them I get well looked
after now.
And you still get the cheeriest good bye in all of Pattaya's bars.
Review Sept 2008: Hearty Good
Byes
There have been a few good words mentioned about the bar of late so I
stopped by to have a look.
The drinks prices were fine and the service was good. Plenty of staff
on hand to keep things ticking over efficiently.
Strangely nothing much had changed since my last visit. There were an
awful lot of dancers on the tables at once, 15 I think. They were
dancing 6 songs, 2 on each row of tables.
There were quite a range of girls and some were pretty. But only one
took her top off.
None of the girls seemed to making much effort on schmoozing front
and the pretty ones would vanish to the upstairs changing room after
they had done their stint.
As before as soon as I gave up on the less than friendly girls, every
staff member I passed on the way out gave me a cheery good bye. Pity
they cant get the same enthusiasm to rub off on the dancing girls.
Review, Jan 2007:
Welcome...
Casnovy A-GoGo is pulling out all the stops to
welcome customers to the bar. Patrons are greeted by an avenue of red
gowned lovelies all programmed to say a few words of welcome.
The cheery doorman is equally welcoming as he passes
you on to the gracious service staff who see you to your seat. Orders
are then taken efficiently and promptly.
But having received your drink then you are on your
own... literally! All the spare dancing girls were huddled in the corner
whilst the customers were sitting on their lonesome.
Not a big issue, sometimes things click, and
sometimes they don't. On this occasion the spare girls were hiding and
the dancing girls weren't catching the eye.
So after downing the drink I decided to make a rapid
departure.
Suddenly the staff return to hospitality mode. In the
space of the short walk to the door, I was sought out by 2 mamasangs
wishing me well. The door man was equally effusive with his thanks and
the gauntlet of girls in red all chimed in with a friendly wave good
bye.
The best welcome in Walking street and the most
heartfelt good byes, but so little effort to provide reasons to stay.
They have turned the music volume down a bit though.
The bar is surely worth another visit
Review from eyebee Oct 2007: Not at
all Bad
I popped in to Casnovy (stupid name!), and it was not at all bad.
Some lookers, and a lot knickerless and topless dancing.
Looks a lot like the Beach Club, but with a central stage as well.
But as others have noted the music was LOUD. Won't be a regular hang-out
for me, but will go once in a while.

Review March 2010: Old Times
and Old Timers
First, the good news. There was a very pretty girl showing her
all in a Jacuzzi, recently installed in the centre of the main stage.
Secondly, the bad news. The rest. To be fair though, this is the same
as always and regular customers will have gotten used to it by now.
The girls are generally below average but that doesn't mean that it's
bad, the Walking Street average is pretty high. Most of the girls dance
naked in Champion, but somehow this is not the highlight of the bar.
But being a regular, then I can be quite forgiving, particularly as the
beer is cheap and the girls are friendly.
The toilet has needed an upgrade for as long as I can remember and now
the aircon seems to be added to the knackered list.
But I still enjoyed the visit though, the downsides don't really matter
much if one has enjoyable company.
Review July 2009: Lots of
Dancers
The summer low season seemed to have taken its toll a bit and the
very cheap beer was no longer packing in the customers.
There were some attractive girls dancing but there weren't really
enough girls in the bar to cover the large number they now have dancing
at any one time. At the end of their spell they only have a couple of
songs before have to mount the stage for another dance stint. The poor
ratio of hostessing girls to dancing girls is always a cue for me to
leave pronto. But if you like to watch, and don't want to be pestered by
the girls then perhaps it is OK.
The toilets could do with a refurb.
I always have a soft spot for the bar, as I fondly recall the old
days when it was the best hands-on bar in town. Now I just stay long
enough to reminisce old times before it is time to move on to the latest
best hands-on bars in Pattaya
Review January 2009: Busy
The cheap beer policy and a recent refurb seem to be working well for
the bar and it has been busy for the last few months.
Table dancing stages have been added in amongst the bench seating
along the sides of the bar. The central stage has been slimmed down and
is also a bit more stylish now.
There is a lot of emphasis on dancing nude. and just for tradition
the bar have also retained the TVs showing blue movies. The music is
still oldie farang friendly.
The bar has always been notable for ladies who been around awhile,
and true to form, many familiar faces were still in attendance. However
the popularity of the bar has allowed them to supplement their dancers
with a fair amount of pretty girls.
I rather suspect that the girls get a good deal from the bar as they
do tend to stay a long time.
The bar is well run with good service and no undue hassle. So it is
good to see that they have established a good customer base. So much so
that they have recently been able to increase their main draft beer
price up to 50 Baht. Still amongst the best in town.
I still hanker after the long lost old days though, the bar used to
be one of the seediest and naughtiest in town.
News from
pattayasecrets.com
Nov 2008: Side Stages
Meanwhile Champion A-GoGo on Walking Street have also been having
ideas. The main stage has been altered slightly and some new wide tables
fitted. Looks like its going for table dancing on the sides.
Review June 2008: Still Cheap Beer
The bar often seems to have more custom than I would have predicted
from the entertainment on offer.
It is quite a large bar to just rely on basic gogo dancing. There are
no shows, Jacuzzis, soft stages or anything of the like.
The girls are generally on the mature side, but this is not a
dictate, just the average. There are still a few girls that are easy on
the eye.
Of course the very cheap draft beer must help a bit in getting
customers through the door. Also a large proportion of the dancers are
naked, which helps too.
Although the bar is Thai owned, there is no undue hassle from either
the girls or staff.
In fact it is quite a pleasant bar to have a quick drink in. It could
be rather a good bar if they could only attract a few more young ladies.
(And maybe improve the loo too).
Review Nov 2007: Cheap Beer
The bar has never recovered from the facelift a year ago. The rather
dingy back area used to be a haven for the touchy feely stuff but this
has now been replaced by a second dancing stage.
The old petting area used to be fun and one would forgive the fact
that the dancing crew are a little beyond their sell by date.
But now the bar struggles basically because it retains the below
average line up of girls but has not retained the fun.
Otherwise there does not seem much wrong with bar. There is farang
friendly rock music, girls that dance in birthday suits and the cheapest
draft in Walking Street (40 Baht for a decent sized glass).
But they really really really need to get a few more attractive
girls on stage.

News from Club Boesché, September 2009:
Penthouse Pets
Club Boesché have recently contracted some REAL penthouse models
from Bangkok to do 3-4 nightly shows and have been featured here at CB

These models have actually been shot in Penthouse Asia Magazine by
my on staff photographer. These are not the local group who claim to

and the other group in town is that they DO barfine.
Nightly shows start at 11:00pm.
Also there is a 50 baht draft beer promotion that is going
great.
News from Club Boesché, June 2009:
Barfine Promotion
Club Boesché is running a promotion which started Friday
reducing barfine prices AFTER 2AM to 400 baht for all dancers,
showgirls, hostesses and service.
The bar has now taken on 2 new mamasans which have stockpiled the bar
with 24 additional dancers this past week and include many many
beauties.
The bar is overloaded with girls at the moment so they are taking
the opportunity to keep the customers happy. Maybe explaining
why business has really picked up this past month.
Review from
BiLLYiSaKiD,
May 2009:
Sometimes Hot… Sometimes Not…
When a good friend of mine first told me of a place where we could
down cold suds and watch tight-bodied women soap each other up (among
other things…) in the middle of a Go-Go Bar, I was actually nervous to
go… Even with all the anticipation it took us three days into our April
2008 trip to make it to the famous Club Boesche. Letting the excitement
build was well worth it. WOW!! What a night… The club was packed, the
girls were super hot and they actually had some drink specials going on.
The music? Umm… Can’t say I even remember what kind was playing… More
like a loud rumble than music but, it sure kept the girls moving…
…And with a little encouragement from our group, the ladies we were with
actually stripped down and hopped in the hot tub… Two of them weren’t
even on shift! Since it was early for me (9PM), no bar fines from
Boesche that night but, I did set my sites on one of the hostesses who
wouldn’t stop massaging me while I checked out the sites and enjoyed my
drinks… “Bar fine next time” I told her.
…Next time ended up being almost four months later! But this time
Boesche had almost nothing to offer… The club was dead, the available
girls seemed distracted and the hot tub show consisted of a girl pretty
much soaking her feet. We were so bummed… And I actually had raved about
this place to the group of newbies I brought with me this time. Being
newbies they didn’t have as nearly a bad time as I did. I attributed the
lack of interest from the girls to us visiting during low season in
August but, we were welcomed generously at other places that same night.
We even gave it another shot a couple nights later but, same deal… Good
looking but, same bored talent.
Strong Points:
- Girls always HOT!
- The place just looks cool… Innovative
Weak Points:
- Too much hype
- Average service at best

Review November 2008: Less for
More
I find this a bar that doesn't quite live up to the Pattaya hype.
In fairness it must be reported that the bar has a lot of fans,
although it doesn't quite crop up in conversation as much as it used to.
The first negative that hits me is the lack of comfy seating. There
are a couple of benches but they don't really have much of a view of
the dancers. I also get the impression they may be 'reserved' for
favoured guests. The rest of the customers have to put up with
uncomfortable stools. The rather cheesy dance music is perhaps on
the loud side. Something I only really notice if there isn't enough
other entertainment.
I find the girls to be on the unfriendly side, seeming to prefer
their own company to that of the customers. However that is not always
the case, just depends who is in the bar at the time. If there are no
friendly girls, the dancing is pretty average, although I have seem a
couple of talented dancers who command an audience. Generally OK but
I find it simply does not justify the high end drinks prices.
Review by Ray, March 2007: GoGo
US Style
Three Baby Dolls have moved to this bar and I popped in to see how
they were doing. I'd never been in here before and found it perfectly
OK. However, I was being taken care of by girls I already knew, so on
my second visit I tried to look at the bar more objectively.
The first thing I noticed was that most customers were sitting in
groups chatting to each other and I started to get a TQ2 vibe. The
girls confirmed to me that there was little hands-on going on because
the customers didn't want it, not because the girls didn't, and that
lady drinks were hard to come by.
The mother of all jacuzzis is a also bit of a disappointment, being
set low in the floor right at the back of the bar, and as the doormen
will inevitably show you to a stool at the front you could visit the
bar several times and not realise it was there.
The stage is unusually large, having eleven poles in 3-2-4-2
formation. I found myself thinking of them as defenders, midfield,
front line and wingers. On several occasions the poles were not all
occupied. There is a glass floor above the stage and occasionally a
couple of girls would go up there and lark about.
The girls are a pretty ordinary bunch, a few outstanding but mostly
pretty average. On my first visit three or four girls were dancing
naked, on my second they were all bikinied up. I heard a rumour in the
previous bar I visited that the police were on the prowl and maybe
that was why, but on neither visit did the bar look remotely like the
photo on the web site.
With its average girls, mostly voyeuristic customers and superfluous
"security", Club Boesche is what a Walking Street go-go would look
like if you transplanted it to the US.
Review by Serigala, Jan 2007:
Lack of Interaction
My wife and I went here on the recommendation of a couple friends
of ours. They maintained that it was “their favourite place” and had
short timed a jacuzzi girl.
We were ushered in and, as has been mentioned by others before,
directed straight to the jacuzzi area where we were seated at bar
stools. Jacuzzi was occupied by three girls, one of which was
reasonable. Occasional licking took place but always the same licker
and lickee. The third girl needn’t have been there. We quickly got
bored and turned our attention to the stage. Around ten girls
shuffling about the poles with a total lack of enthusiasm. Clothing
was bikinis, skirt and top or shorts and top.
One girl did actually decide to get a bit lively and dance. However,
as she couldn’t take her eyes off the mirror, we assumed it was only
for her own benefit.
As others have reported, there seems to be a total lack of interaction
here and, apart from a smile from a service girl, we’re sure that the
girls here wouldn’t have noticed whether there were customers present
or not.
Considering our poor appraisal of Boesche, others seemed to be happy
with the offerings as the place was quite crowded.
One expensive drink and left.

Review October 2009: Something
Different
In terms of decor the bar is pretty much unchanged from the
previous ownership
Perhaps with an eye on 'something different' for Walking Street,
the bar has come up with a couple of unusual ideas.
Firstly the bar has a few coyote dancers and secondly the gogo
girls all wear bikinis.
The music emphasis is on dance and the tunes are quite heavy fire
alarm (as NightMarch might say) and played quite loud.
On the positive side, the bar had a few very pretty girls which is
always half way to success.
I am not entirely convinced that it will work out though. Quite a
few gogo-like bars have tried the coyote idea and few have succeeded.
On my visit, I had a very pretty girl make the effort to be
friendly, so I was happy enough for a while. After a couple of
drinks though, I got a bit annoyed at the loud music spoiling my small
talk, so I departed.
There's no draft beer and the bottles are 100 Baht. Lady drinks are
130 Baht.
It will be interesting to see if the bar adapts more to the GoGo
norms, or else to see if it can attract a younger audience who
appreciate the coyote/disco style.

Review February 2010: Elusive
The bar is still one of Pattaya's more impressive GoGo designs. The
mix of neon, chrome, spiral staircase, balcony, table dancing stages
and centre stage looks the Biz.
On my last visit there were plenty of girls and there were several
that were well attractive.
There's a reasonably priced draft beer and the rest of the prices
are typical of many competing bars.
There's an affable host who seems to be a centre of attention.
And yet with all these good thing in place, the bar is pretty near
a 100% guaranteed failure for me to attract the attention of a
drinking partner. And looking around the bar I am not the only abject
failure in town. The bar rarely seems busy in terms of customer count
and a fair few fellow customers are usually sharing my Mr Lonely
posture.
Probably just me, but maybe the girls need a nudge to become a
little bit more pro-active bout taking care of customers.
Review June 2009: Ratios
I still drop by for the occasional look see but never stay long
because the dancing ratio doesn't really give the customers a fair
chance for much time with the girls. Whenever I have dropped by there
are many more girls dancing than hostessing such that the girls were
only hanging around for 3 dances before starting on another 6 dance
stint.
Just a personal taste thing, and I did see a large party who were
clearly enjoying themselves. The trick being to be able to have a good
banter with your mates whilst the girls are away for the majority of
their time. Then you can spoil the girls rotten for the short time
that they are at your side.
There's an affable host on hand for a chat should you not bring
your mates with you.
Most things are spot on about the bar. It looks good, there are
some good looking girls and they take off plenty of clothes when
dancing. Drinks are reasonable with a plenty of happy hour options
too.
Review December 2008: Close
Competition
A good looking bar that has not quite made it on to my list of
favourite bars.
There are a fair amount of girls employed and there are some who
are pretty indeed. Plenty on show in terms of dress code too.
The happy hour offer is a very good deal at 2 for 1, and draft beer
later is a reasonable 65 Baht.
The upstairs loos have been mentioned in the past in terms of
caution of the spiral stairs when drunk. The stairs are wide enough
that this isn't really an issue.
The only real reason why I haven't become a regular is that on most
visits, I have been simply been ignored by the girls. Not a big issue,
but Misty's is located tantalisingly close to Baby Dolls where good
hostessing is assured. So impatience usually gets the better of
me, perhaps a little bit before it should.
Review June 2008: Spoilt
A generally pleasant subsequent visit was spoilt by an offer of a
lady drink (110 Baht) which ended up as a lady cocktail (150 Baht)
without anyone asking or pointing out the uninvited upgrade.
It is a waste of time informing the mamasang as she simply blamed
the girl and did nothing to put the matter right. The advice is to
take it up with the farang management.
The bar has measures in place to try and prevent this happening,
but the very existence of the dual price temptation means that this
problem will inevitably recur.
Review May 2008: Looks Good
Popped in for an early look see and the new bar surely looks good.
The outside neon is surely the most impressive in Pattaya.
There is a central stage with half a dozen girls fully covered in a
white lacy affair.
There are another half dozen girls on table dancing stages arranged
just in front of the comfortable bench seating. The girls were topless
but strangely with a blouse at half mast. Perhaps at the ready for a
quick panic.
There is an upper floor with accessed by a scary looking spiral
staircase. The girls dance nude up top and are viewable from
downstairs.
There were plenty of girls in attendance and an old friend looked
after me well.
The drinks prices are comparable with other popular bars but the
draft beer wasn't in a particularly large glass for the price.
The music is aimed at the dancing girls rather than oldie farangs.
Perhaps a bit loud, but not quite the loudest.
I found a couple of teething problems in terms of the arrangement
of the dancing girls. Sitting downstairs, the upstairs girls are
simply too far above to be particularly worth a cricked neck for. The
lighting, although effective, makes it difficult to watch the table
dancers, its either too dark, or else one gets a bit dazzled. And the
girls on the central stage are simply overdressed. Perhaps the trick
is to sit upstairs...but I don't know if I would trust myself to get
drunk upstairs, what with having to negotiate the stairs on the way
down.

Review July 2009: Loud
The bar has been open a few weeks so maybe time for a follow up
review.
I was first impressed by the amount of dancers in attendance. They
still have about 10 girls dancing on the central stage and a couple of
more in a Jacuzzi. There were another dozen awaiting their turn to
dance. There were a few pretty girls amongst the dancers.
The Jacuzzi doesn't seem to add much. There are no stools for those
that like to assist the girls with their ablutions nor is it in a good
place to provide many customers with a show.
I was first unimpressed by the volume of the music. More disco levels
than gogo.
I was next unimpressed by the price increase in draft beer, from 65
Baht to 95 Baht. It is served in good sized measures though.
There were some friendly girls doing the rounds but a combination of
the loud music and expensive draft meant that I turned down the girls'
advances and decided that the bar had become a one beer venue.
There were very few customers but there were two farang couples
enjoying a dance. It struck me strange that the bar was being enjoyed
more for its loud music than for its gogo aspects.
Review June 2009: Hassled
I can't say I enjoyed my first visit much, I seemed to get hassled by
some of the oldest gripes in the book.
But first the basics. The bar is more or less the same layout as last
seen for Black & White. There's a large central stage, a cage stage,
like Peppermint, which was unused as was the swimming tank. The
inevitable Jacuzzi was in operation with a couple of girls soaping
themselves down.
There were a decent amount of girls in attendance with quite a busy
stage show of 8 dancers. The girls were dancing for 8 songs which is way
too long for those waiting for girls who 'go dance'.
The girls were average which means that there were several that would
surely be escorting customers home. Not a bad team for the 2nd night of
a gogo. The gogo dancers were a bit shy though, only one took off her
top to dance.
There is a draft beer at 65 Baht.
Perhaps the staff were a bit over keen, being near the opening but I
found my self getting a bit hassled. There were 2 mamasangs working the
floor and they were friendly enough to introduce themselves. One clicked
her fingers and 2 girls appeared at my side. I always consider it bad
manners to be doubled teamed, I take it as a set up for hassle. Anyway I
sent one girl away and spoke a few words to the other. The girl, a
server, and one of the mamasangs were unduly quick to push for a lady
drink. And no wonder they were so quick, at the next song, it was the
girls turn to dance (for 8 songs!).
Perhaps I was just unlucky with timing.

Cosy's A-GoGo
New gogo at the location that was once Magic
Palace. Opened 1st November 2009.
Review November 2009: Another
Noisy Bar
The bar was doing a good trade on its first day. It is intuitively a
good location, and I suspect that it is quite advantageous to have a
door opening directly on to Walking Street.
The bar is on the small side with a side stage for about 8 dancers.
There is a little bench seating opposite the stage, but most of the
bar is given over to rather wobbly uncomfortable stools. There were a
few more substantial stools at the back though. The bar has crammed in
too many stools and it felt overly full even though most stools weren't
taken.
I instantly dismissed the music as too dance oriented and too loud.
The clear success of the noisy Air Port Club seems to be tempting all
the new bars to follow the lead with heavy tunes and disco level noise.
I spotted one of my pretty friends on the dance floor but I wasn't
tempted to wait as she was about 6 long dance songs off finishing. There
were 7 girls dancing with just a couple taking their top off. There
weren't really enough girls for the amount of customers, but this aspect
soon changes if the bar is seen to be a success by the girls who will
then sign up.
The beer was cheap with bottled Chang at 55 Baht.
But really on this visit, it was too crowded and too noisy to stay in
bar with only standard gogo shuffling to watch.

Review from Pattaya Secrets, March 2010:
A Little Bit Happy
Diamond has never done much for me so maybe the review would be best
left to someone who appreciates the bar. But for some reason Diamond
rarely crops up in conversation except to say how expensive it is to
barfine Bangkok showgirls. I always think of Diamond as small version
of Happy A-GoGo. It generally has a good selection of girls, the drinks
are reasonably priced, and most of the customers are here to watch
pretty girls rather than do much in the way of interaction. That's not
to say the girls are unfriendly, they seem approachable enough. But they
do not pro-actively seek out customers. Only my last visit there was a
team of about 8 dancers who were a bit coy with their dress sense. After
a while they gave way to another team, presumably the showgirls, who
weren't so coy. But it was hardly a riveting performance. The music is
on the loud side but maybe not quite so extreme as days of old.
Review from Pattaya Secrets, March 2009:
No Barfine Bangkok Girls
I could not believe the level of talent on stage.
It turns out they have more Bangkok girls down for 10 days. I was told
they get paid 1200 baht per night and is only here for 10 nights. She
gets 50 baht per lady drink but has to achieve at least 10 per night or
her money is cut by 50 baht for each.
Barfine for the Bangkok visiting girls is set at a suitably discouraging
3500 with the likelihood of a fee for the girl to match. It also seems
that the girls aren't from the farang P4P scene. Some wont go with
customers, some will, some are basically party girls, some may well be
used to being in high class Thai places where they charge 3000k ST.
Review March 2009: Revival
Suddenly Diamond was back to where it was a few years ago.
The bar was three quarters full, there were show girls on stage that
were capturing the attention of the audience and the music was too loud.
Good to see that the import of a team of dancers from Bangkok seems to
have sparked a revival. I'm not sure if it is like this everyday but I
think I may have stumbled in during a dance contest. Things look
hopeful for the bar as there were plenty of attractive girls around and
the beer was still the same cheap price as before. It made a good
change to leave after one drink on the grounds that the bar was too
full. I usually leave after one drink because the bar was too empty.
Review Nov 2008: Little Sparkle
Diamond is not really getting the customers in at the moment. I
stopped by at 10pm and I was one of two.
Perhaps one of the reasons is a lack of enthusiasm by the welcome
staff. They seem to ignore passers by but will of course respond if you
step towards the door. The door itself is not really inviting, its like
stepping into a vault.
Inside there were 3 bikini clad girls dancing on the central stage
and there were another 4 or 5 sitting around waiting for their turn. An
average bunch but that still means there are some attractive girls.
There wasn't much doing in the bar but a couple of the waiting girls
popped over to see if I was interested. But as I never really appreciate
being double teamed I fended them off.
I thought about these double teaming tactics for a while and came to
a conclusion. There probably not many regulars of the bar, so the
chances are that any customers are newbies and therefore can be easily
persuaded to buy multiple lady drinks.
Probably just being cynical though, there were no other signs of
hassle. But then again, I didn't hang round very long.
Review Jan 2008: Reasonable
Diamond is a very straightforward gogo which is pretty conservative
in terms of entertainment.
It seems to have a good customer base probably from reputations from
maybe slightly better times of old. It seems to cater for guys on
holiday rather than expats.
It seems to give a good package of reasonably priced drinks, a
reasonable show and a reasonable bunch of girls who tend to keep
themselves to themselves.
I guess it does the business in terms of entertainment and so keeps
customers returning for occasional visits. It misses out on regulars as
they simply get to know the bars where the entertainment is a little
more sexy.
Or perhaps just where the music is not played quite so loud!
Review April 2007:
Foreboding Entrance
The doorway is a little foreboding, looking more like
a bank vault than a gogo. The welcome staff weren't really on their toes
either, giving an air of being picky about who they let in.
Well they were kind enough to open the vault so I
wandered in.
The bar was quite popular with a mildly erotic lesbian
show capturing the attention of the rapt customers.
The music was loud but not quite the ear splitting levels
I was expecting. The customers were also 'having fun' with ping pong
balls, entertaining the tequila girl. There were also a couple of guys
taking delight in being swamped by lady drink chasers.
Looking around at the bar it seemed that most of the
customers were there to watch rather than partake. There were few girls
enquiring where customers originate from and there were no girls sitting
with customers idly chatting about thisthatandtheother and short time
rates. But what does it matter when there is a
bar full of customers who are enjoying themselves. As I prefer to enjoy
the girls rather than myself I moved swiftly on.

Review October 2009: Little
Interaction
The bar has improved for installing a cheap draft beer at 55 Baht but
otherwise it seems to operate pretty much as normal.
The were quite a few girls rotating around the central carousel
stage. There were some good looking girls and there was a complete range
of dress from none to bikini. There were also a couple of girls
ineffectively dancing on small stages in amongst the audience.
There was very little interaction between the girls and the
customers. I have a theory that may be total bollox, but I reckon that
response to the ping pong balls is used to differentiate between ex-pats
and visitors. Only ping pong friendly customers are likely to get
company.
Still there are plenty of bars that are prefer to be show/watching
bars rather than being interactive, and this is a decent enough example
to watch a bit of gogo dancing.
Review from Pattaya Talk,
April 2009: Improved
The bar introduced a cheap draft and at least one forum poster
reported a good improvement in the bar:
The most improved gogo of my recent trip, after a couple of years in
the doldrums, they seem back to their best with a high number of
lookers, many of whom are interactive in the bar (with excessive
pressure for ladydrinks).
Review December 2008: Visitors Bar
The bar was very quiet at what should have been a prime time. I
presume this rather reflects the lack of holiday makers in town. It has
always struck me that this bar is not really a hit with Pattaya
residents and appeals more to visitors.
The bar had about 15 dancers in attendance and a few showgirls hiding
away in their changing room. 5 or 6 girls were dancing either in bikinis
or topless on the revolving central stage.. The girls were generally
average which of course means there are a few that appeal.
The girls seemed a little lack lustre in terms of hostess duties, and
a couple of newbies behind me were getting a bit of a hard sell about
ping pong balls.
There were a couple of shows that were not particularly sexy. One was
traditional Thai dancing, and in the other, the girls only got down to
their knickers.
I'd rather guess that not many expats use the bar as the drinks
prices are on the high end whilst the entertainment is on the low end.
Nothing inherently bad about the bar, just poor value.
Review March 2008: Ping Pong
Heaven
At a prime time visit, the bar was very lively. Plenty of whooping
and holloring as the guys were lining up to throw ping pong balls and
cash at the girls.
It was clear that most of the high spirits were down to holiday fun
and the novelty value of a gogo.
From an expat point of view I don't really see why it should be so
popular. The girls were distinctly average (that's not to say that there
aren't pretty girls, the Walking Street average is pretty good). The
drinks prices are on the high side too.
My only theory as to why the bar attracts holiday makers is simply
down to the rather good name, particularly as Thee Dollhouse is a well
known chain of lap dancing bars in USA.
The girls were not being friendly to me though. They probably spotted
the micro gesture of disdain towards the frequent attempts to sell me
ping pong balls.
Still you can't knock a bar where everyone is laughing and having
fun...you just have to quietly go somewhere else.
News from Pattaya Secrets,
Oct 2007: Jimmy's Gone
It has been reported that Jimmy is no longer the manager at The
Dollhouse. Hopefully his success at re-animating the bar will open
plenty of new opportunities. The management change was a result of
ownership changes and the bar is no longer associated with Club Boesche
Review, Sep 2007:
Jigging
After a rather disappointing early evening visit I
stopped by at about 10pm and things were far more lively.
In fact I was soon approached by a very attractive
girl indeed who turned out to be on loan from Heaven Above.
Nothing like a pretty girl on one's arm to make one
appreciate the rest of the entertainment. There were about 8 girls on
the central carousel, mostly bikini clad. There are several table
dancing positions and also a small cushioned show stage with a couple of
girls on show. This was not quite the naughtiness of Windmill or What's
Up though.
One notable policy of The Dollhouse is that all the
girls seem to be continuously dancing, whether they are on or off stage
or even at the side of a customer. Presumably salary cuts apply if ever
a girl is spotted not jigging around. Still it seems to help the girls
stay slim.
Hopefully the re-animation will continue. Surely this
has a better chance than previous short lived revivals, as the price of
draught beer has now been reduced to Walking Street norms.

Review June 2009: Opening Day
Fun
The hosts for the re-opening of this small bar will be familiar with
anybody that has been to BJ Club. The manager there and the mamasang seem to have done a good job
at
the poorly located BJ Club, so perhaps they can do something with a
notoriously difficult small narrow bar.
The opening night perhaps demonstrates some of the problems. There
were perhaps a couple of dozen girls in the bar with 4 on the central stage and a
couple doing their own thing in the Jacuzzi. By the time the owners
mates had claimed the best girls, then there weren't enough left to
entertain the rest of the customers. No doubt on following days there
will prove to be too many girls. It is hard to maintain a happy medium
for a small bar
There were quite a good team of girls for an opening day,
probably a few from BJ Club. They mostly danced in bikinis but a couple
lost their tops.

Review, Nov 2009: Jacuzzi
The bar has recently re-opened the upstairs floor complete with the almost
inevitable Jacuzzi.
It has always been tricky to run a bar over 2 floors. Few people tend to go
upstairs. I guess psychologically one will never venture up a strange set of
stairs unless invited. I think it needs very clear signage to indicate what is
upstairs and that it is currently open.
There were no clear messages from Gentlemen's Club staff or signs that there was
entertainment upstairs. As far as I can gather it has limited opening hours too.
I think that it opens at 10pm.
Anyway upstairs I was a little under whelmed. The Jacuzzi is one of those that
is more of a dancing stage than anything. There are no ringside seats. But of
course the bench seats are close enough for a good view of a show, but a show
with no audience participation. There are also a couple of dancing podiums too.
There were 4 or 5 girls upstairs, and as you would expect for the bar, they were
well attractive. But unfortunately they were all engaged by a party of customers
at the other side of the bar.
It is always tough to make a small operation work in a GoGo, as there will often
be too few girls for the customers, and equally often, too few customers for the
girls.
On this occasion I had a lonely beer watching other people have fun. Not really
my thing. But equally well, it could be the other way round next time.
Review from Materialsman, Oct 2009:
High rating in beauty
This is not a new club per se, but this was to be my first visit there. First
impression upon entering was that it was much smaller than I had imagined, and
by the impression given by the website, but what it lost in size it more than
made up with the quality of the dancing girls on the night.
There were probably only ten girls onstage and as many again scattered around
sat with customers, but of very high rating in beauty, I would have to award
this place a 9/10 based solely on the girls I saw last night, they looked
stunning attired in quality, expensive red lingerie style bikinis.
There is also a VIP style room upstairs available for the princely sum of 500
Baht with No Barfine as it proudly states on the displayed notice, but I
had no chance to take a look.
I had a couple or three beers
here and very much added Gentlemen's Club to my Favourites list
for future perambulations.
Review from Pattaya-Addicts,
May 2009: Impressed
I was impressed with the looks of the girls dressed in tiny red
bikinis or less. They even had a show with the usual sexy dancing
ending with some rubber hose whippin'.
When I looked around I saw mostly younger guys visiting but the
girls seemed to be interacting well between their dancing-shift. They
sent the ugliest girl over to me (as usual!) Can never understand this
practise, why bars almost always sends over the oldest and ugliest
girls to new customers!?
Anyway music was too loud, some boring Techno Dance whatever they
call it although the girls seems to like it, and where quite energetic
up on stage!
Review Feb 2009: Service
Without a Smile
The bar seems to be quite popular when I stopped by mid week.
The bar had about a dozen girls split into shifts with about half a
dozen on stage. They are still following the pattern of taking off
clothes as they work through the short dance roster.
The girls are attractive which obviously goes someway towards
explaining the popularity. I think the short striptease dance pattern
is a good idea too.
Unfortunately there weren't really enough girls in the bar to take
personal care of all the customers. The lucky few seemed to be having
a good time though.
As I felt somewhat neglected on this occasion, I decided to move
rapidly on and maybe try again another time. As my tipping tends to
reflect how much I enjoyed my stay, I chose not to leave one, 85 Baht
is already enough for a draft beer. I got such a sneer from the
service girl. Totally unpleasant.
News from Pattaya Ghost August 2008:
Downsized
The bosses continue to keep the upstairs stages closed unless
absolutely pressed for space.
The bosses have also made a few change, dropping the sexy gowns for
most girls and putting then in go-go style skirts and bikinis. They’ve
also introduced a number of sexy shows.
Review June 2008: Lonely
The bar seems to have settled down into a rather low key affair.
There are plenty of good looking dancers and they keep the stage
entertainment brief and to the point with a three song set usually
removing excess clothing at each song. Sexy indeed.
The bar seems to have gone awry in terms of hooking the girls up
with the customers though.
I concur with a fair few Pattaya forum members that customers are
generally left to drink a lonesome beer without any interest from the
girls to say hello. There is a theory going around that the girls are
picky and just waiting on good looking young guys. But they may have
to wait a fair time in Pattaya.
There is a bar gimmick about waiving a 20 baht dollar bill around
to get a girls attention, but I have yet to see this work.
In the meantime the connections of the bar will be wondering why
the customers aren't showing as much interest in drinking in the bar
as they would like. Nothing a bit more of bullying mamasang couldn't
sort out.
News Dec 2007: Happy Hour
The bar has now started a happy hour until 10pm. All drinks are 55
Baht (except lady drinks). The VIP card is not available during Happy
Hour nor are the free shots.

News January 2010: Sign of the
Times
Happy is now sporting a flashy new sign
Review April 2009: Personal
Space
I'd make a lousy bar owner. If I fashioned a bar according to my
own likes and dislikes, I'd end up losing out on some of the most
popular bars in Pattaya, and Happy is one of them.
I often pop by Happy early evening for one drink whilst planning an
itinerary for the rest of the evening. It is perfect for a quick
drink, as it has very good looking dancers, reasonable drinks prices
and no hassle from the girls (not that hassle is a bad thing mind you,
I do particularly like being hassled by a girl jumping on to my lap).
There are plenty of girls on stage and they have a very long dance
roster, but that's ok, not many of them have drinking partners waiting
for their return.
The girls on the main stage dance topless and it must be said that
the basic gogo dancing is some of the more energetic in town.
All well and good, and maybe too good. Later on the crowds come to
enjoy the entertainment. At this time the bar is everything that I
don't want from a bar. More than likely you will get ushered to one of
the last remaining seats in the bar, usually a stage side stool jammed
between 2 other occupied stools.
Now then its a question of priorities, do you want to watch some of
the prettiest girls in town? or do you want to have a comfortable seat
and the space for a girl at your side? (even if getting a girl is as
yet, just a hope). Call me strange but I prefer the comfortable seat
and a bit of room to breathe. But at least I can see the point of view
of those jammed into the small stage-side stools enjoying the pretty
dancers.
Review Sept 2008: Still Happy
Nothing much had changed since my last visit. In fact nothing had
changed since my last visit. The bar is simply supremely consistent.
Still pretty girls on the popular main stage and naked girls around
on the side stage which isn't so popular.
Most guys seem to come to look rather than interact with the girls
much.
The shows are simple with just a little added enthusiasm to the
dancing and a few less clothes.
The beer is reasonably priced but it is not given away as the
glasses are small.
On the whole I find the lack of interaction makes the bar pretty
sterile but that is personal taste rather than a criticism of the bar.
Many would say how pleasant it is to be able to sit ad watch without
being hassled.
Review by Serigala, Jan 2008: A
Kind of Show
My wife and I went here around 9pm. Considering the early hour, the
place was very busy.
Luckily enough, there were two spare seats next to the central stage
where we were seated.
Central stage was occupied by eight naked girls enthusiastically
dancing. After every number they rotated to the next pole until they’d
done a complete circuit of the poles. Not much interaction with the
customers though but we still enjoyed the dancing.
After this, the naked girls were replaced with shuffling bikini girls
(a few topless) and we realised that we had just witnessed a kind of
show by the naked girls. On a few side tables there was table dancing
with skirted, but knickerless, girls who we managed to get a smile out
of.
We did notice that Happy also had hostesses and there were a couple
engaged with Japanese gents.
Probably one of the better places that we visited but again, it was
just a one drink place.
Review by polleke, Oct 2007:
Same Same
Went in and found the place as usual packed with customers as well
as pretty girls. I found the quality of the girls had decreased a bit
since my last visit 6 months ago. Maybe because of the time 0.30 am
and most prettiest girls had been barfined.
Some of the girls are topless and in the new part of the bar there
were no naked girls dancing as I remembered from a previous visit.
The place is always full of fun and I always like to come back. One of
the top gogos in Patts
Review April 2007:
No Hassle
I often pop in for a beer in the early evening to
have somewhere pleasant to sit down whilst I plan where to go for the
evening.
The bar has a no hassle policy, so unless you send
out the signals, no girls will approach you. But it is not like the
Super Baby/Girl gogos where you do not even get a smile before
selecting a girl by number. The girls here smile and cast their eye
over the customers so as to give the guys a chance to signal the girls
should they so wish.
There are plenty of pretty girls on stage dancing
though they sometimes have to dance very long stint.
There is a choice of stages with the main stage
being topless, there is a knickerless table dancing stage and also a
small nude stage.
The service is good, if not a little too efficient,
with the all male service guys sometimes being a little over
enthusiastic to suggest more drinks.
I rarely stay beyond one drink though, the bar has a
policy of 'no touch' whilst drinking with girls. I prefer something a
little bit naughtier. But for those that like to take away to play,
this bar surely delivers good options
Review from
Pattaya Secrets,
Sept 2006: Party
The best gogo in Pattaya. Barfine a girl here, go back a few nights
later and get treated like a king. The line-up is outstanding, and the
girls dance enthusiastically. The mamasan is always on hand checking
everyone is "happy". The icing on the cake for me is that the girls all
seem to genuinely like each other, which just adds to the electric
atmosphere.
There is always a party atmosphere the minute you walk into the bar,
something that most bars do not have. I hate walking into a dead go-go
bar, and then everyone stares at you for the next 10 minutes, sizing you
up and hoping you will barfine them. At Happy, the place is so damn
crowded and there are so many girls, that no one notices new arrivals
walking through the door.
I would rather that they had female service staff, though.

Review from Materialsman, Oct 2009:
Marxist Mindset
One of my favourites is Heavens Above. Once more it didn't disappoint
me, some honey's here as always, they seemed to be having some sort of
Daisy Duke thing going amongst the staff, you know the look, tiny
denim shorts, check shirts tied at the waist, straw hats etc. and very
nice it looked too!
I know some of the show girls here have a reputation
of bad attitude, but frankly I have never had a problem with any
girl from here, maybe through my very persona, I dress reasonably well,
I'm not a complete 'fugly', and I treat the girls in my company well.
Hey, maybe I have become a member of the Heavens Above clique
that some guys whisper darkly of, that's an amusing thought, I've always
held on to the Groucho Marx mindset towards belonging to clubs and
cliques.
Review October 2009: Pretty in
Heaven
I tend to visit the bar for a hassle free beer that makes for a
pleasant backdrop whilst planning the evening.
The bar is attractive with a white theme. There is a fair sized
central stage and also a play mat area towards the back of the bar.
There are always a goodly amount of girls on the stage and they are
an above average crew. The dancing girls choose their own attire and how
much or how little they are happy with.
There are also a few girls, maybe classed as showgirls, who wear
negligees. They seem to hold dominion over the raised step around the
edge of the stage.
The girls have a very long dance roster rather suggesting that the
bar is for watching the girls rather than interacting with them. Well
that's my excuse anyway, the girls never seem very interested in me.
Review by Pattaya Today: Night March,
April 2009: Tight Butts
For me, and others I know, Heaven Above has the number one position
as far as sheer number of small-bodied, tight-butt dancing damsels is
concerned.
The den has also introduced a theme-style night as far as clothing
goes, with girls in schoolgirl-style uniforms one evening and then
cowgirl tops, shorts and hats the next, and so on.
Review from Pattaya Talk,
April 2009: Interaction
Has always provided a great breed of fare for the eye but an
improvement has been made in recent times; that improvement is in terms
of interaction, the ladies seem much more willing to gyrate in your
direction
Review from Materialsman, Dec 2008:
Stunning Girls
Always one of my favourite Pattaya spots, and one that recently had
come in for a little criticism on another Pattaya Forum.
Again the Bar was busy. I think my Heineken was again 120 baht, could
have been 110, not really sure.
I did however have a brief chat with the Manager, an affable enough
young Aussie chap, who was desperately trying to sell me on the idea of
purchasing a special discount drink card for the minimal sum of 850
Baht, which was guaranteed to eventually save me money on my drinks.
Sorry, I’m sure it is a good deal but not one I am going to go for while
out having a good time and in a fairly incapacitated state, seemed a bit
like a Time Share sort of deal.
As for the eye candy on view, well again recently there has been
criticism of the line up, but I have to say I thought there were some
stunners on show, whether or not they have pussies made of gold that pee
pure Pinot Noir, and a stuck up attitude to match, I can’t really say,
they certainly seemed friendly enough to my advances, and when I walked
out of the club at around midnight there were fifteen very attractive
hard bodied girls lined up totally buck naked on stage, and more
circling the stage, what’s wrong with that scenario, I mean what more
could you desire? The service staff were attentive, and some comely
wenches amongst them too.
All in all, still one of the top go-go’s in Pattaya with some
stunning girls, in my humble opinion.
Review by Pattaya Today: Night March,
July 2008: Still a Slice of Heaven
The Heaven Above ogling den continues to retain an air of consistency
that to my mind keeps it among the better joints around.
Relatively small in terms of space, it always has a brace of dancing
damsels.
While the vast majority are long-term practitioners of the art of
wallet emptying, it’s a place that suits the punter who understands the
‘great game’ and plays by the rules, most of which are for the short
term.
I still think most of the music is drawn out of an aural trash can,
but the chrome pole gyrators seem to appreciate it. The free style of
dancing apparel, rather than a uniform approach, makes for an intriguing
mix of colours and fashions, which I think adds to the overall appeal.

Review September 2009: First Time
Limey things are looking up at Hooty's. For the first time in years I
found myself a dancer who was up for a friendly few drinks.
Hopefully it is a sign that the bar is giving up its pretensions as
an expensive show bar and joining the group of fun bars where the name
of the game is to get customers hooked up with girls, not watching them
from a respectable distance.
Helping in the cause, Hooty's has established a reasonably priced
draft beer and have recently installed a Jacuzzi. It is not particularly
well placed, being mostly hidden behind the stage, but it at least
signals an intent that the bar wants to be seen as fun.
Anyway I have to be a bit restrained in case the good night was a one
off, but it will at least earn a couple of return visits in the very
near future.
Review from Pattaya Secrets,
Dec 2008: Really Friendly Staff
No dogs, no stunners, average GoGo girls... really friendly staff,
but no hassle for lady drinks.. some cutie service girls, the dancers
are interactive, but not pushy... many happy farangs with girl
companion...
All in all a great venue if you are not too picky...There are two to
die for showgirls, but they don't mix with the customers.
Review Nov 2008: No Draft, No
Dice
At about 10pm I was the only customer in the bar. There were plenty
of girls in attendance with several that were well attractive.
You'd think I'd be well away. But as is often the case in a dead bar,
it is actually pretty tough to attract the attention of the girls.
Because there are next to no customers in the bar, the dancing girls
don't really cast their gaze around the room. And when they have
finished they go into an impenetrable huddle. There's no point in
circulating when there are no customers.
The mamasang spotted the unattached customer though, and send a 'B
string' girl over. I am a great believer in first come, first served,
so I expect that if I am the only customer in the bar, then I should be
allocated an 'A string' companion.
From my viewpoint the bar fails to make my list due to the lack of
draft beer. A cheap first drink option is always good as it tempts me in
for a 'look see'. But being as this bar is twice the beer price of most
(I see no taste advantage of bottles over draft) then I simply give it a
miss, particularly as previous visits have also been pretty naff.
News June 2008: Happy Hour
Hooty's has started a happy hour with bottled beer at 70 Baht and
house spirits at 50 Baht. Later on there was no sign of the 70 Baht Beer
on the welcome cards.
Review from Ray, March 2008:
Young Lads
I dropped by this bar a couple of weeks ago to see if anything had
changed and found it had been taken over by a group of young English
lads who were monopolising all the girls not on stage.
Feeling old and unloved I drunk up and left.
As I believed the owner was a relatively young English guy? I thought
this was a typical night. Obviously not.
Review March 2008: Just Like Old
Times
Maybe I hit that bar at a bad time but it was not a fun place to be.
In fact it was very much like the rather dour Hooty's of a year ago.
There were plenty of girls in the bar huddled on one side without
making much effort at mingling with the customers. The gogo dancing was
fully bikini clad and even the show girl got no further than taking her
top off.
There were no girls dancing at the small podiums amongst the
audience.
There were a fair few customers giving the bar the once over though.
Perhaps it was just me that considers this bar as poor value for its
overpriced beer.

Review April 2009: Asians Agog
The gogo still tries to be both farang friendly and Asian coach party
friendly. But on my last visit the bar was pretty near full of Asians
looking agog at the razor blades being drawn from a girl's pussy.
One is tempted to be a bit dismissive of such non-erotic shows but
the bar surely had more customers than some of the farang oriented gogos
in town.
Whilst the bells and whistles shows continue on one stage there is a
girl soaping herself in the Jacuzzi. Its not geared up to allow for much
customer interaction though.
The beer prices are kept at reasonable levels for the pay as you go
farangs with draft at 55 Baht.
It is very much like its sister bar, Playgirls, just down the street
but this one is probably the better due to having a few more attractive
girls.
Review Oct 2008: Pretty Hot
The bar is pitched at Asian tourists in that there are no drinks
prices advertised by the welcome staff who are also there to charge
unsuspecting visitors an entrance charge. As always the bar is free to
farangs.
But the strange thing is that it is a perfectly good bar for farang
customers too. There is a cheap draft beer at 55 Baht albeit in a small
glass. The lady drinks are also in line with other bars at 110 Baht.
There are some pretty dancing girls and they are happy to pop over
for a chat. No undue hassle and I had a perfectly pleasant stay.
There is a bells and whistles show but it is at least simultaneous
with a pretty girl soaping herself in a Jacuzzi. The shows alternate
with dancing and the girls just dance 2 songs. No sooner did my drinking
partners say I go dance, and she was back by my side.
Probably mostly down to my pretty hostess, but I well enjoyed my
visit.
Review Jan 2008: Not
Recommended
Entrance 600 baht + 1 drink free. Girls were taller and more
beautiful, only topless. but the girls were more demanding and ripped
off about 1000 baht from us. I don't recommend this place to anyone.
seating arrangements too were poor.
Review Dec 2007: Schizophrenic
The new layout of the bar is the fashionable white theme complete
with Jacuzzi. The bar have recruited a few pretty girls to take good
advantage of the shower show.
However the bar is still persisting with the bells and whistle show.
But the focus of this is a stage towards the back of the bar.
On my visit though, the bar had not yet succeeded in attracting
people to watch the shower show. There was just me enjoying the pretty
girls of the front stages. A coach party of people were crowded around
the old stagers doing their bells and whistles thing on the back stage.
It was fine by me!
Update from Ray, Nov 2007:
Renovated Hot Girls
The bar's had a makeover rather similar to Noi's and is much
improved.
The front stage has replaced by seating which has all been upgraded
to comfortable white benches and there are now two smaller stages in the
middle of the bar, one for dancers, one for the shower show.
The rear stage still has the occasional bells and whistles show.
Worth a look.
Review May 2007:
Off the Radar
The bar seems to warrant hardy a mention in the
Pattaya forums so it was time to go and take a look for myself.
The bar is long and very narrow with a couple of side
stages on opposite sides. Some seating affords very poor viewing of the
stage.
There were about 20 girls of which at least one was
katoey. They weren't a bad looking crew. Three were dancing on the first
stage and more dance on the second stage if there are enough customers
to move down into the seats overlooking that stage.
Perhaps the most striking reason for the lack of
farang comments is that most of the customers are Asian. It seems that
bells and whistles shows identify that a bar is targeting Asian
customers.
There is a menu card on the tables that advertises
fixed rates for bar fines, rooms and short time rates for the girls.
Didn't spot anything bad about the bar...it is just
that there are so many better bars nearby.

Review Oct 2009: Darts Bored
Illusion is of no interest to farangs. It is a bar solely catering
for those that enjoy non-erotic shows featuring bells, whistles, darts
and the like. There is not even gogo dancing between the shows.
There were about half a dozen girls rotating through the shows and
they were hardly setting the bar alight in the looks department. Though
its fair to say that they may have been more appealing to the Middle
Eastern target audience.
The music was also selected to appeal to the Asian market.
But nevertheless the bar has a Soi 15 entrance where passing farangs
are invited in with the offer of 50 Baht draft beer (which was sold in
decent sized glasses).
Surely not to farang tastes, but the bar was doing a decent enough
trade within its target audience.
Review Feb 2009: Bells and
Whistles
I have a feeling that the bar never really got up to speed in
attracting farang customers. After all competition from Baby Dolls and
What's Up is pretty much the best raunch in town.
So Illusion seems to have scaled down a little and reverted to the
bells and whistles format of its previous guise as Top Girls.
There were just 6 or 7 dancers all bikini clad. A couple were putting
an effort into dancing but really it was not up to much. There are no
poles for the girls to lean on.
After a few songs of gogo the dancers clear the stage and find a dark
corner to hide in while the show girls do their unsexy bells and
whistles turns. The show girls then circulate for a tip and the cycle
continues with the dancers.
The beer is still cheap at 50 Baht but the bar is no longer really an
option for those seeking sexy entertainment.
Review Nov 2008: Less Pasty
The bar has improved a little since the opening days and have doubled
their dancing staff to about 15.
The extra dancers have been deployed at small stages in front of the
sofa and mattress seating.
There are no cuties amongst the new girls but at least they are a bit
closer to the customers and it is a much friendlier venue. Anyway it's a
bit too dark to see much anyway.
The girls were dancing way too long and about two thirds are dancing
at any one time. So not much chance for the girls to seek out lady
drinks.
The girls have dropped the pasties and reverted to
bikinis/topless/nude presumably down to the girls own choice.
Unfortunately the girls have also dispensed with the fall open tops that
would have been very sexy if the effect hadn't been spoilt by the
pasties.
Review Oct 2008: An Illusion of
a GoGo
One suspects that the opening configuration will be pretty short
lived s it seems to fall short any many fronts. However there is no
reason why things shouldn't improve.
The large bar is more reminiscent of a nightclub than a gogo bar. It
is kitted out in extreme white and the seating is predominantly large
white mattress affairs. They look good, but in reality there is no back
support and they get very uncomfortable after a short while.
The music is also predictably club style. The DJ picks some pretty
long dance tunes too. Lots of pretty lights to match.
On the downside the seating is simply too far from the two stages.
There were 5 girls dancing leaving just two to circulate amongst the
customers.
They were wearing bikini bottoms and tops that fall open to reveal
all...well nearly all, the girls were wearing star shaped pasties. It is
a silly trick as it smacks of censorship and I therefore find it
annoying.
There were two amongst the 7 girls that would get you calling them
over, but in reality, the lack of hostessing time, (2 long tracks
compared with 5 long tracks dancing) made any thought personal
entertainment impractical. And as if to stress the point, the girls were
vainly hassling for lady drinks whilst dancing.
It always seems a mistake to open without adequate dancers, all the
bar reviewers come round in the first few days when the bar is
struggling and report how naff it is.
Opening drinks prices are very reasonable though...surely helps.
But I'll be listening out for comments on the forum for when the bar
builds up a few more girls. The bar does seem to have potential. It
could be that they ay change format to something more like a nightclub.
It does seem a strange layout for a gogo, especially as it is lacking
all the play stage and Jacuzzi features that seem to draw in the
customers these days.

Warning from Pattaya Forums:
Expensive Lady Drinks
Rapid success seems to have been too much of a temptation and there
have been a fair amount of complaints about the bar appearing on Pattaya
forums.
Particularly prevalent are very expensive lady drinks turning up
without the customer asking for them or being told about how expensive
the drink being asked for (up to 240 Baht!).
Review by Materialsman October 2009:
No Iron Hoofs
Next to the popular Airport and has a
similar layout and some smartly dressed Hello girls outside, although
they don't really maintain the concept throughout the staff like
Airport. As discussed on various forums, the Club is unfortunately named
for some London based Brits, Irons being a word associated with
gays, in Cocker'nee rhyming slang, iron hoofs = poofs,
fortunately there are only women dancing here.
I have read that the layout is not conducive to sitting in comfort,
and I have to agree, having been trodden on a couple of times while
people passed by, but it makes good use of the limited space and sort of
opens out the further back you go near to the now standard Jacuzzi areas
where girls were soaping each other and whipping buttocks with gay
abandon. It's pretty smart inside the Club, though the quality of
dancing girls left a little to be desired, but it is early days and
there is time for it to get better, a sprinkling of beauties though, not
all farm fresh awkward shufflers, and the Tequila girl was to die for.
I had a girl target me pretty quickly, I put that down to my
beautiful new Hawaiian shirt rather than my visage, so I humoured her
for a while until she went to dance/shuffle and finished my beer and
made my escape, as her conversation was sadly lacking, must have been
new to the scene. Can't remember the drink price, I think around 125
Baht for the bottle, reasonable enough for Walking Street, but currently
I could only award a 7/10 due to the standard of girls, but I will give
it another try next time, I liked the décor.
Review October 2009: Iron Awe
An impressive looking venue with a surprisingly large, high ceiling
interior. There is bench seating down both sides of the bar.
The iron theme is perhaps a little cold, but it looks pretty good.
The bar is basically long and narrow with 3 stages. Nearest the
door is a gogo stage for 9 dancers. The dancers were wearing a uniform
with a futuristic theme and a short blouse garment covering the
shoulders. The uniform allows options for either a bra or topless.
The girls were a pretty good selection considering the early days of
the bar. But they were dancing an extremely long dance stint of 9 songs.
Obviously the bar is hoping for a Happy style audience with watchers
rather than those wanting the company of a girl. The trouble is of
course, that not many bars can command the quality of Happy, and this
bar is not yet one of those select few.
The dancing girls weren't being the slightest bit friendly in terms
of seeking out lady drinks and the like.
The middle of the bar has the now inevitable Jacuzzi with 2 girls at
a time soaping themselves down. There are stools surrounding the action.
The back stage is quite elaborate with a raised platform and maybe a
small rotating platform. The stage was occupied by 2 girls performing a
more energetic dance than the standard gogo fare.
The service staff were also wearing smart uniforms, perhaps Air Port
Club have set a new trend in motion.
It is early days and the bar wasn't working too well on my visit.
Customers were only staying for a single drink. I rather think the
dancers uniform will soon be dispensed with as, whatever people claim,
less clothes is best. No reason why uniforms for service staff shouldn't
continue though.
And if the bar does take off though there is an issue with the
layout. There is not really enough space to have stools down the side of
the main stage as well as it being a major thoroughfare to he back
stages of the bar. There's likely to be all sorts of bumping and
barging, surely not a good idea for somewhere where people are likely to
be a little drunk after a few beers.

Review from Pattaya Secrets
December 2009: Some Beauties
Living Dolls Showcase had some beauties both on show and walking
around, no mystery why there are so many bums on seats in that place,
some stunners but not half as many as there were in Happy a Go-Go.
Review March 2009: Friendly
Reception
I visited the bar at a prime time of about 11pm. The bar was enjoying
a sizeable crowd who seemed to be enjoying the shows.
The format was for a few show numbers on the central stage, and then
a few numbers of when all the gogo dancers would take the stage. The
stints were not too long which is always good in my opinion.
I have a feeling that the bar doesn't really target hardened Pattaya
gogo fans though. The shows are choreographed but not outrageously sexy.
In the few numbers I saw the girls were a bit shy and kept their
knickers on throughout. Good looking girls, but their reputation of
being not so keen to go with customers diminishes the attraction
somewhat.
The gogo dancers were average (which of course is pretty good in
Walking Street). Again they were a bit shy, with only a couple of the
dozen on stage, taking their tops off.
The bar seemed to excel in meeting and greeting, lots of happy long
lost friends seem to be re-uniting with girls and staff from previous
visits. My service girl was well friendly too.
I can't say I was impressed by the dancing girls hunting lady drinks
in twos though. It always telegraphs to me a money grabbing attitude
rather than the desire for a one to one hook up.
I would suggest that this is one of the better bars in Pattaya for
farang couples. They can enjoy the friendly reception along with the
cabaret style show without it being too outrageous.
As a rather hardened pleasure seeker though, I found the
entertainment to be marginally sexy, and the drinks prices way too
expensive at 135 Baht for a bottled beer.
Review from
Pattaya Ghost, June 2008:
Ridiculously Priced
There were plenty of silicone-enhanced showgirls still left after 1
am, although they seemed content to play among themselves, leaving the
handful of customer in the bar to sip as slowly as possible on the
ridiculously priced 150-baht shorts.
Shows or not, LDS has to be the biggest clip joint in Pattaya. Even
Angelwitch, with shows and an environment five times better than
Showcase, prices their drinks at 145 baht. Remind me not ever to go back
there.
Review by polleke, Nov 2007:
Beautiful Girls
Visited the bar several times this week and really loved it.
There is a central stage crowded by more than average looking girls.
They have some shows but they can't compete with the ones in Angelwitch.
There was one girl though that was an outstanding dancer. However there
are so many lovely dancing girls, my eyes were caught by a gorgeous
hostess (barfine 600 Baht, 2000 LT)
Note: there are a couple of very beautiful girls, that have big
sponsors. I was told they ask 10,000 bath ST ( discount when they like
you). They actually get barfined 3-4 times a week. Certainly not by me.
Review July 2007:
Closely Packed
The bar may be a very popular show bar but I find the
drinks prices way too high to justify more than an occasional visit.
So given the new happy hour I thought I would give it
a go.
For the life of me I could not suss what they are up
to. Every single dancing girl in the bar was packed on the stage. There
were about 15 but as late comers rolled in they would get changed and
then add to the pack.
The girls were slightly above average with just a
couple revealing their tops. The stage was a bit too packed to really
allow for much in the way of dancing.
Certainly not worth watching, nor were there any girls
that were free to sit at your side for a chat.
I was totally baffled by the lack of entertainment
value in the the proceedings and my visits will surely remain
occasional.

Review, October 2009: Worth a
Pop
The bar seems to have evolved a strange little characteristic that it
seems to be the mamasang and even the service girls who do the
connecting between girls and customers. If left to their own devices the
girls seem to like sitting together in distant recesses of the bar.
The bar is pretty traditional with the main focus of attention being
a fair amount of girls dancing on the central stage. There are usually a
few pretty girls and there is the full range of bikini or not on
display.
The play mat and Jacuzzi haven't been a big draw during my visits to
the bar. The play mat stage seems to have become just another dancing
stage.
All in all, a generally pleasant place for a drink that could improve
a little if the dancers were a little more pro-active in taking care of
customers.
Review, April 2009: Plateau
The gogo is pretty sound with good looking girls dancing on the
central stage with little in the way of clothing. Then there is a play
mat stage and a Jacuzzi at the back of the bar.
Drinks prices are reasonable and the staff are friendly.
Somehow I have drifted away from making this a regular stop on my
circuit. A couple of times it has been a bit depleted of girls and
another couple of times the girls have been bagged by younger and more
attractive customers.
Maybe I get the impression that they prefer the customers who like to
sit back and watch the dancing rather than those that prefer one on one
company. Just a matter of available ratio of girls.
But still worth a try, I think I have just been unlucky.
Review by Ray, March 2008:
Moving up the League
Bit tricky to find, this bar, it's tucked under the Polo
Entertainment Centre and its entrance is permanently obstructed by the
crowd of rubberneckers gawking up at the gyrating Natasha in the Galaxy
Cabaret window.
Once you do manage to locate it you will find a bar that's deeper than
it's wide with the front section set up as a standard go-go and the rear
section fitted out with a jacuzzi and a sexy show table.
I've visited this bar a few times now and I think I'm getting the hang
of it. I picked out a dancer that caught my eye on the way through and
went back to check out the show. To my surprise the showgirl and my
dancer seemed to hit it off and as there weren't too many other
customers around we soon had a nice three way going.
When the show was over the showgirl leant over and whispered to me that
she was really pleased I had brought that particular dancer over as she
fancied her herself but hadn't had an excuse to get her hands on her
before!
Lollipop is rapidly moving up my personal league table.
Review Feb 2008: Naughty Table
The bar is slowly progressing and now have enough girls to keep a
steady 2 girl show going on the show table. They follow in the
traditional naughty mould of Windmill and Baby Dolls etc. Suitably
friendly to keep me entertained for an hour anyway. There is also a
Jacuzzi but the naughty table gets top priority when the numbers are
low.
The main stage is a traditional Isaan shuffle affair and still seems
to lack a little momentum. Nothing really amiss, probably just a matter
of time as people get to know of the bar.
Last time I visited I spotted a few girls newly recruited from
Sisterz.
Review Dec 2007: Jacuzzi
I popped by and noticed that the bar has joined the ranks of those
with a Jacuzzi feature. I sat at the back where the Jacuzzi is located
and watched a pretty girl doing some lone ablutions. It was the last
number of her stint and there was no replacement act.
After a bit of prodding by the mamasang the Jacuzzi girl came across
for a chat. But at the very moment she sat down a service girl cam
homing in like a missile to suggest that I should buy her a lady drink.
This was way too pushy and I left pronto. I don't suppose that it is
anything but bad luck, but this bar is something of a disaster zone
every time I have visited.
Review from Graham, Dec 2007:
Pleasantly Surprised
First impressions was I liked it, and nothing happened that night to
make me change my opinion. I was pleasantly surprised by the high
quality of the girls. OK, not that many, but it is early days yet.
I young bubbly girl who was only up to my chest came a took care of me.
Not pushy for drinks. Both she and the Mamasan were in Soi 6.

Naughty Girls
Renamed from Vixens in Jun 2006. Convenient rooms
Review February 2010: Symmetry
There's a certain symmetry to Soi Diamond, with the two centre bars
on either side of the beer bar isle being somewhat bereft of ideas. (And
often, customers)
Naughty Girls is not too far off the mark. It is an attractive bar
with a central stage. There is comfortable bench seating around the
sides of the bar. There are table dancing positions set amongst this
seating, but it is rarely used these days.
On my last couple of visits there have been some very attractive
dancers on show too.
There's a 55 Baht draft beer and other drink prices are in line with
Pattaya norms.
The flaws that I see are that the girls dance a very long stint,
which is usually a cue to depart for anyone waiting for a particular
girl.
Secondly in common with neighbours, The Sea and New Star, the bar
seems to think that the most attractive girls should be given the
onerous job of sitting by the door. If it were my bar, I would assign
them the job of sitting with customers instead. Better to get at least a
few customers with as smile on their face, rather than concentrating on
getting people into the bar only to leave them lonely and bored.
Review June 2009: Middling
Now a very traditional gogo with not really much going on except the
stage full of girls. The bar still seems to err by having too many girls
dancing and not really enough on hostess duty. But better ratios then
about a year ago.
There are about 10 girls on stage and most are bikini clad with a few
topless. Probably about average for Pattaya but that means there are
several that are attractive. The dance roster is too long and if your
girls says I go dance, then the best reply is: ok I go check
bin.
From what I have seen recently the bar is struggling for customers.
I've not really helped out much by staying for a second drink, I have
been ignored, double teamed and targeted by the bar oldie.
The draft beer is reasonably priced.
The bar is not a million miles away from getting it right but at the
moment is does not seem a roaring success.
Review Jan 2009: Naughtier and
Better
Things seem to have improved at Naughty Girls. The bars has recently
abandoned its policy of making all available girls dance and there are
now a few that available for a chat.
Also a general air of happier girls may also have led to a few more
of them taking their tops off for dancing. The unrevealing black boob
tube that they used to wear has mostly been left in the changing room
where it belongs, and small standard bikinis are now the norm.
I am told that the lady drinks are now more tightly controlled and
customers are no longer stung for the expensive cocktail. It is hard to
check this out though as I make such a point of ordering a standard lady
drink that I am unlikely to get the girls trying it on.
In fact I was very well looked after by a friendly hands on dancer
and would have been tempted to stay longer if it wasn't for the still
overly long dance roster of about 7 songs.
Review May 2008:
What's Going On?
I've given up on this bar as I can't really work out what is going
on.
The good news is that there are plenty of good looking dancing girls.
The bad news is that they are nearly all set continuously dancing.
It may look good to have a bar full of dancing girls but I prefer to
have a bit of company.
As far as I can tell the girls are only excused dancing when they
have a lady drink in front of them. And when they order a tequila you
don't get much time for your money. I walked out pronto when my lady
drink only excused the girl from dancing for one song.
Review Oct 2007:
Military Precision
The bar seems to be doing well under the watchful eye
of the Tina Turner look alike mamasang.
There were a fair few good looking girls both on stage
and quickly by your side. In fact the service girls proved very
personable and very hands on too.
The bar is still running a policy of excusing girls
dancing duty if they have a lady drink in front of them. However with
military precision, the moment the last sip is taken, the mamasang
appears from her observation post and orders the girl back on stage. She
can jump back off stage into your lap immediately the drink is
replenished.
As long as you hit it off with the girls that you
select (or indeed the girls that select you) then this bar can be very
enjoyable.
Review from
Asia
Bugle, Jan 2007: Worth a drink or two
The music was OK, car alarm but at least listenable, and there were
plenty of girls on stage and scattered around the joint.
I had a couple of young ladies accosting me with the usual “What you
name, where you come from?” line, but without the added, “buy me dlink?”
Even though no chance of a barfine, they still remained friendly and
chatty.
A show involving a pair of young ladies supplied with bananas was
done with fun and by the time I was ready to leave I thought the den has
certainly improved in quantum fashion in recent times.
It mightn't be the best in town, but it's definitely worth a drink or
two.

Review October 2009: Not So New
The bar has had a little time to settle down after a change of
management so time for a quick review.
There have been a few changes to the bar. The unused Jacuzzi has been
removed in favour of a small dancing podium. The seats have been
reupholstered but in essence the bar looks more or less the same as
before.
I also heard that the new owners has dropped the new prefix and refer
to the bar as Living Dolls One.
There were the usual extensive team of gogo dancers with about 12 on
stage at any one time for a dance roster of 6 songs. There is also a
team of showgirls who take to the stage for various lesbian antics and
the like. There are plenty of attractive girls on show.
Unsurprisingly the new management have made few changes to the
operation of the bar. If anything the bar has improved for me, as a
couple of girls bounded over for a bit of good taking care.
I am anticipating a return visit to the bar more than I have for a
long time.
News July 2009: Dolled Off
The bar has been sold and the new owners George and Simon will be at
the helm from the 1st August 2009.
Review May 2009: Dolls Indeed
After having found a comfortable seat I looked up at the stage to see
a dozen good looking girls with few clothes to share between them.
I relaxed to drink my free first beer and all was well.
I glanced round at the bar to find that it was well crowded with
appreciative customers enjoying the show.
There are plenty of service girls and there are plenty of managers
and owners and the like if you would like a chat.
The drinks are reasonable and the barfines are competitive.
The bar is also a no hassle bar where the girls leave you alone
unless called over.
Not really my sort of bar though, the no hassle policy coupled with a
high ratio of customers to girls usually ends up in the visit being a lonely drink.
Review Nov 2008: Too Good
A very popular that always seems pretty full or else totally full.
The bar surely must be doing something right.
Maybe this is down to the free beer tickets dished out by the welcome
staff. Or maybe it is the reasonable drinks prices once you have
finished the freebie. Or maybe it is the cheap barfines to partake in a
little later in the evening.
There are plenty of girls to go round with many of them good looking.
Also the bar tries to keep hassle down to a minimum. Unfortunately this
often means that the girls don't bother you enough even to say hello. No
problems if you call them over though.
There are showgirls featuring sexy but not choreographed shows.
Music is strictly selected to keep the dancing girls dancing.
There are plenty of farang managers on hand for those that like to
mingle with the barkeeps.
Something good for everyone then...except of course, those that like
a quiet drink.
News from New Living Dolls One, Oct 2008:
Bed Tax
The tub is gone for now, it was under 2 aircons and as such the girls
were always getting sick.
We have replaced it with a big red BED, yes we still have the mirror in
front of it. The girls have been taking there turn at bed time play with
odd guy wanting to join in .
Yes our bar fines did go up from 400 to 450 and from 200 to 250 we also
had to increase our happy hour from 39 bt to 49 bt. Guys sorry for doing
this but after 3 wholesale increases which we did not pass on it finally
had to happen.
Review by Ray, March 2008: A
Winning Formula
In the many opportunities for contemplation offered by bars where the
girls seem to regard me as The Wrong Sort Of Customer, I have formed my
own view of what makes a great bar. It's fairly simple really: lots of
attractive, uninhibited girls wearing as little as possible in a space
big enough to hold lots of them but small enough to keep them in close
proximity to the customers.
This is just such a bar. Sure, there are experiments with the usual
gimmicks, the jacuzzi show, the corner coyotee dancers, but nobody pays
much attention to them and I doubt they add a single baht to the bottom
line. For all practical purposes a bar is the girls, and you won't find
a friendlier, sexier bunch than this anywhere.
New Living Dolls One implements a winning formula perfectly. Long may it
prosper.

Review by Ishi Jan 2010: Merged
Stage
The smallest foam Jacuzzi in Pattaya is no longer used. It's a part
of the dance stage now.
The problem is that the bar runsout of water. It happens often,
there's no water in the toilet or in the kitchen. I'll never order
Draught Beer again!
Reader review Dec 2009: Worth a
visit
This bar is quite small but it's worth a visit.
Some of the girls are very beautiful, most of them in topless and
with very pretty breasts.
The staff are friendly and drinks are not too expensive.
Review by Ishi Nov 2009: Split
Stage
The stage is mow divided into 3, each one is less than 2 meters long.
The first stage from the entrance is a play mat where one naked lady is
dancing.
The center oval-shape stage is the smallest Jacuzzi in Pattaya. It
has almost 6cm high wall. Of course there is no water but just foam and
one naked lady is taking a foam bath.
The 3rd stage has 2 poles and 3 dancers.
Bar Fine, dancers are B600 but show girls are B700.
Review May 2009: Lost Faith
The odds of an enjoyable visit seem to have diminished.
There are some unattractive girls who do the circulating around the
customers. There are a few attractive girls but they seem locked to the
stools at the door presumably to entice passers by.
The net result is that this has become a bar that does not deliver.
And there's plenty of nearby bars that do biz.
If you are lucky enough to get one of the pretty girls at your side,
then the bar can be quite hands on.
I think the location is excellent for the bar. It is the first bar in
Soi Diamond and you see an avenue of touts ahead of you. It is then so
easy to just dart in the first one rather than run the gauntlet of quite
hasslesome touts.
The bar probably does a steady trade in people tempted in, but who
stay just for one drink.
Review December 2008: Right or
Left?
The girls of New Star A-GoGo vary their short time rates according to
which side of the bar you sit on.
On the left the table menus show
the all in package as 1950 (600 barfine + 350 room + 1000 short
time). On the right hand side the menus show a total of 2450 with the girl's share being 1500
Baht.
Either way it seems very expensive.
The bar has a very mixed selection of girls ranging from very pretty
to very not. The prettier girls are anchored to door with an invisible
bungy cord. They are employed more to attract passers by than to look
after the customers inside.
If you are up to being manhandled by the oldies, the bar can be quite
good fun. But I always feel for the unaware newbies who get ruthlessly
exploited by the girls given half the chance.
Review April 2008: Door
Decoration Girls
A Thai run gogo that inevitably provides a good home for staff who
maximise their earnings from relentless hassle of customers.
The latest wheeze they have is for the only pretty girls in the bar
to be anchored to within a few paces of the door. They parade around
topless such that customers peering around the door get a good eyeful of
a pretty girl. If they are convinced then they will shuffle in to find a
seat, only to realise that the majority of the girls are second string.
As with the pretty girls on scouting duty at a beer bar, it seems
difficult to get the door decoration girls to sit with a customer.
The bar isn't entirely without merits though, as hands on fun is
readily available here.
However the chances of finding both a pretty girl and one who doesn't
hassle too much, make for a rare entertaining visit.
Review July 2007:
Uneven
Unsurprisingly similar comments to the recently
reviewed Nui's 2 as both bars are under the same management.
This is a small gogo with a prime location as it has
first dibs on customers walking up Soi Diamond from Walking Street. The
bar is surely in need of a bit of sprucing up.
The bar features the whole range of girls, fat, thin,
young, old, pretty & not. I think it is the luck of the draw that there
were a couple of pretty girls in the bar. Actually one of the pretty
girls was anchored to the door so as to give unrealistic impressions
when guys would look in to check out standards.
The girls dance at all levels of undress suggesting
that it is surely "up to them".
Some girls hassle, some don't, some girls are hands on
and some aren't.
A totally mixed bag, but the odds are a little too
high of a duff visit for the bar to retain many, if any, regular
customers. However there is surely a chance of being lucky and
having a good time.

Review July 2009: Low Season
The bar had a low season feel to it with a rather underwhelming urge
to entertain.
There were about a dozen girls on duty of which 7 or 8 were dancing.
They were doing a 7 or 8 song rotation around all the various dancing
stages in the bar. The dress code is ether topless or bikini clad
depending on the girl's wishes. The girls were average, which is not to
say there weren't a couple of pretty girls.
There is also a single naked girl who was preening herself in a quasi
show in the middle of the main stage. She was on for quite a long stint.
As soon as the girls were finishing, they were reaching for dressing
gowns and departing out the front door. Either eating or supplementing
the welcome staff. Either way there weren't may girls looking after
customers in the bar, so it all seemed something of a dead loss to me.
Review Jan 2009: Unbalanced
Nui's 2 has never been a very successful bar for me and I put a lot
of the failings down to the layout of the bar.
There are just a couple of bench seats facing the main stage and
these seem to be the only area of the bar where customers get much
attention. It is also the only place where you can see the nude showgirl
who performs at the centre of the main stage.
The rest of the seating only gets a side view of the main stage and a
view of a shuffler or 2 on the secondary stage. Somehow this gives a
vibe of 'second best' and I guess that few guys stay long when seated
there. And hence they get ignored by the girls.
The girls are not particularly noteworthy but there usually a couple
of pretty girls on the evening shift.
The music is strictly for the girls.
Beer price is reasonable at 55 Baht for a small draft beer, but there
are no other bargains.
Review April 2008: Lucky Dip
Very much a lucky dip this bar, but with the odds stacked against
wining.
The bar tends to attract below average girls but this does not
preclude a few pretty girls in attendance.
There is a fairly long dance rotation with not really much in the way
of naughty stuff. Most of the girls are bikini clad but a couple go
topless.
Some of the girls provide hands on fun on your lap but most tend to
ignore customers.
Newbies should be very wary. Last time I visited, the mamasang was
trying to push a very expensive all-in fee on a besotted newbie.
Review July 2007:
Improvements
The bar has added extra dancing stages such that there
is always something to look at wherever you are sitting. Previously only
a few bench seats overlooking the stage had a good view and the rest had
a restricted sideways on view. The previous main stage has been
converted to a couple of table dancing stages. In addition two more
table dancing stages have appeared along with a small show stage in the
middle of the bar.
It certainly brought a bit more life to the bar with
plenty going on.
On the downside, the bar has found some very small
glasses for the draught beer and the dancing roster is now an overlong 7
songs.
I would have stayed longer but the personable bar lady
boy set his sights on me and I prefer to play with the ladies.
Review July 2007:
No Customer QA
I would guess that few Walking Street regulars would
have this bar on their list of favourites, or indeed any of the bars
from the Nui's group.
The bar is not without merits, it has a few pretty
girls and some lively dancing, drinks are reasonable and there are
plenty of service staff on hand. Indeed there were a few customers
clearly enjoying fun with a girl on their laps.
The negative side seems to be a lack of customer QA.
Management style is distinctly light touch and the girls are allowed to
hassle and hustle for as many tips, drinks, drinks for their friends etc
as they can get a way with. This surely discourages regular business and
means that the bar has to target newbies with a large welcome staff.
Still the bars have survived well and are continually
adding new venues. They must be doing something right, even if only
economically.
Review Oct 2006:
Middling
Not a very well laid out bar as only a small row of bench seats get a
good view of the stage, A large proportion of the bar get just a
sideways on view of the dancing.
The girls are very much an average bunch but there are some that are
attractive. About a dozen of the 15 in the bar were dancing at anyone
time and they seemed to be putting a fair effort into entertaining.
Several were topless. All girls were wearing the almost obligatory micro
miniskirts but it was not clear from my sideways on seat what they were
wearing underneath.
I was approached for a drink by a personable ladyboy hostess and an
oldie dancing girl. My rejection of their advances was taken as signal
that I would reject advances from all girls in the bar so I had little
choice but to move rapidly on.

Paris A-GoGo
Small gogo with very standard gogo offerings
Review July 2009: Off chance of
entertainment
Another bar that seems to be doing its bets to get by in the down
turn by putting its head in the sand and ignoring anyone dropping by on
the off chance of entertainment.
The were about 10 girls of which 6 were dancing, the rest were hiding
in corners or else more blatantly ignoring customers. The girls were
dancing bikini clad but after a while one girl took off her top. For no
obvious reason whatsoever apart from the lack of customers, the mamasang
told her to cover up.
A bit under whelming at the moment, perhaps it will pick up at the
next high season, whenever that is.
Review Jan 2009: No French
Kissing
Paris is a very straightforward gogo which tends to mark time whilst
the rest of Pattaya marches on to ever naughtier levels.
The were 6 dancers on the central stage, either topless or bikini
clad according the girls wishes. They were an average crew but the
average is pretty good on Soi Diamond. There were another 8 girls
waiting to dance.
The girls are not very quick to try their luck for a lady drink, but
if you make a signal you may be able to attract their attention. I spoke
with a girl, and neither she, nor the wait staff were at all pushy. Not
really a bar for hands on fun either.
A pleasant enough, well run bar, that still lacks a little
innovation.
Review May 2008: No Can-Can
A predictable single beer visit 6 months on from my previous look
see.
As usual there were a few pretty girls, but as usual no one made any
efforts to make contact.
The beer was not cheap, as there is no draft, but then again, it is
not expensive as there are bottles at 80 Baht.
I was struggling to think of much to say about the bar so I went
somewhere else to consider my prose.
The bar needs a little je ne sais quoi. Perhaps a little
Can-Can would help.
Review Aug 2007:
Few Negatives
Very little changes in Paris. There are currently
about 25 girls working in the bar of which 8 dance on the central stage
at anyone time. They dance for 4 songs and bikini clad or topless seems
to be the dress code.
There are several attractive girls in the bar but I
get the impression that they are not so interested in touting for
business.
The bar is lacking in innovation and has become a
venue for a single beer approximately every 6 months.
Still the drinks prices are reasonable and there are
few negatives about the bar...just a lack of positives.
Review Jan 2007:
Hardly the CanCan
This bar is one of several Soi Diamond that are declining by marking
time. Competing bars are upgrading their appeal with naughtier shows,
Jacuzzis, naughtier girls, high energy atmosphere or simply packing
their bars with cuties. Paris continues with basic dancing and demure
lady drinking. The trouble is that the prettiest girls go with the flow,
and so the girls that remain tend to be the slightly less attractive.
That does not mean that all is negative, the girls are still up for a
chat, dance topless and the bar always seems well run and friendly. The
ongoing 70 Baht for a bottle of Singha is always good value.
Review from
Pattaya Secrets,
July 2006: Keeniaw
Not very busy. After sitting down and I was double teamed
immediately. The demand for a lady drink came up quick but I politely
refused. This resulted in myself being called "keeniaw".
I observed the slightly overweight dancers (ok, some slim girls were
available as well) and the "lady" next to me inquired if I was
interested to have one of them. Shaking my head got me another "keeniaw"
so I decided to check bin.

News from Peppermint, January 2010:
Re-locating
Lets clear the confusion. Peppermint will not close, in the not too
distant future it will be re-located to the ground floor of the marine
complex, and something I have always wanted as it will off street access
to many new customers. An area has already been allocated and the size
will be the same as it is now and the same concept will be used. This
will happen sooner than later but will result in no closure of
Peppermint.
Review September 2009: Longer
Lasting Mint
I made quite an early evening visit and everything seemed pretty much
as it has been for as long as I can remember.
The only change that was immediately apparent was the bar has
dispensed with the topless bar idea. I guess it hasn't really made any
difference as the bar was at the poorest viewing point of the whole
venue.
There are still naked cage dancers, topless gogo dancers, negligee
clad side stage dancers and a few table dancers on top.
I got a friendly reception from one of the girls who remembered me
from a quick beer at Club Oasis.
The drinks prices are still reasonable and they are still served by
male service staff.
But most importantly, there is still a very large contingent of
attractive girls.
Review Feb 2009: A Palace Indeed
Surely a fun palace with lots going. The bar is consistently busy.
There's the main stage with topless girls, a side stage with nearly
nude girls and a cage with fully nude girls. And if that isn't enough
there's a few table dance podiums and a topless bar. There are always
plenty of attractive girls to select from.
The bar is in the mould of Happy, Super Baby and Super Girls in that
most customers sit watching, rather than playing, presumably readying
themselves to pick a number and go. But of the quality quartet this bar
is the most likely for the girls to try their luck for a lady drink.
Drinks prices are reasonable and this must surely generate some of
the return trade. Also the bar does not mess around with a complex
barfine structure. It is just a single standard rate.
It is probably the fact that you are not messed around by drinks
prices or barfines rather than the actual level that appeals. If you are
on a budget you may find the premium rates asked for by the girls is on
the high end of the scale, and rather counteracts the advantage of the
cheapish drinks.
There's a couple of gripes though, the bar employs toilet jockeys and
the majority of the comfortable seating does not command a very good
view of the best dance positions. So stool seating is the norm.
News July 2008: Shows
Peppermint has now introduced sexy lesbian shows to its many styles
of entertainment.
Review May 2008: Watchability
If you've got a good formula then stick with it. And that's exactly
what Peppermint continues to do. Nothing much has changed in the last
couple of years and that includes maintaining a healthy amount of
customers.
There is still the combination of topless main stage with occasional
shows, side stage with nearly nude dancers, cage with fully nude
dancers, knickerless table dancers and a topless bar.
Plenty to watch but not quite so much to do as in the naughtier bars
with hands on fun. In fact putting the best looking girls in a cage
seems positively mean.
Perhaps, because the watchability takes priority over the
playability, this means that the bar caters more for Asians than farangs
these days.
Still the girls are pretty, the drinks are reasonable, and the male
service is very efficient.
A sure bet to stay popular.
News from Pattaya Addicts,
Nov 2007: Discriminatory Entrance Fees
It seems that Peppermint have started charging a 200 Baht entry fee
to Asian customers.
Their door staff are now equipped with several signs.
First there is a sign saying 'Full' used to turn away South Asians
and Arabs (A common Pattaya policy, said to be based upon safety for the
girls and the higher risk of misogynist attitudes from men from those
parts).
There is now also a sign indicating a 200 Baht entrance fee. This
sign is used for Asian customers or perhaps it is targeted at Japanese
visitors.
Farangs are waved in without let or hindrance.
Review by polleke, Oct 2007:
Packed
Went in and the place was really packed. The staff
hardly couldn't find a seat for me.
There is one major stage where the girls are topless and 2 minor ones in
the corners where they are naked.
As I like a bit of interaction between me and the girls on stage, this
is hardly not possible because the place is so crowded. You can have a
girl on your side if you ask the service staff that is mainly male,
which I don't like.
Left after 1 diet coke (95 Baht)
More a place for people who like to watch. Not for me though.

Review April 2009: Playaway
The bar targets Asians and East Europeans with a mix of gogo and
unerotic shows with darts and whistles etc.
There are no welcome signs suggesting prices as no doubt there is a
cover charge including first drink for some whilst farangs breeze in
unmolested for the normal pay as you go price structure. The draft beer
was reasonable at 65 Baht.
The bar is narrow with central stages, two dancing stages and a
Jacuzzi. The naked girl was soaping herself throughout and the dancers
were bikini clad.
The girls were friendly enough and would pop over to inquire of your
birthplace. But they weren't hasslesome if you preferred to be left
alone.
In fact a perfectly decent sort of small bar with many of the usual
gogo entertainments.
There was one tiny little almost insignificant problem though...the
girls were well below Walking Street average.
Review Sept 2008: Pleasantly
Surprised
I was rather suspecting a bar that was a bit more hardened to
fleecing the bells and whistles crowd but the bar was not such a lost
cause.
The steep steps up to the first floor bar wouldn't survive health and
safety rules in Farangland. They are pretty unattractive as
aesthetically too.
But inside the bar is bright and attractive along similar lines to
Airport below.
There are 3 stages, 1 is for gogo, the other alternates between gogo
and bells and whistles shows for the tourists. In the centre is a
Jacuzzi complete with a a suitably soapy girl. There are no seats near,
so no chance of any hands on fun.
All drinks prices are reasonable and the standard for the Nui's group
bars. So no premium to watch a show you didn't want to see in the first
place.
The gogo girls were a little reluctant to take their tops off and
there are none of the the cuties that are reserved for downstairs duty
at Airport Club.
I spoke to a couple of the dancing girls and it made for a very
pleasant couple of drinks. They were not pushy and were charming
hostesses with plenty of tales from a longish gogo careers.
The service was also good.

Review March 2010: Window
Shopping
The first thing that struck me about this bar is that it has
something of an image/pricing/psychology problem...and that was before I
had even set foot in the door.
I really was a bit concerned that it would prove to be a rip off bar
where tips are demanded with menaces. The totally misplaced concern is
down to the coyote dancers in an upstairs window catching the eye of
passing gawpers on Walking Street. All 3 of the other bars that offer
such windows are extortionately expensive, so it surely sets the alarm
bells ringing.
The bar rather compounds this issue by having a high end draft beer
price of 90 Baht. Now it is a rather useful Pattaya convention that the
bars with the high beer prices don't advertise it on their welcome signs
(eg Showcase, Dolls House, What's Up and Silver Star 3). And
indeed Powers Club is suitably embarrassed into not putting the beer
price on their welcome signs.
So an upstairs coyote window with no re-assuring beer prices
certainly make the bar a risky proposition to enter. It could turn out
to have expensive drinks and/or feature over dressed coyote dancers.
But actually once inside the bar, it is a perfectly typical GoGo with
most things in line with the usual things you would expect in a GoGo.
The only other price I came across was a lady drink at a very typical
120 Baht.
The bar is actually very large, perhaps a bit too large, it seemed a
little decoratively empty. There are several stages with one being the
main stage with several girls dancing and the small stages with one girl
dancing, plenty of room for more.
The girls were quite an attractive crew, especially for the
notoriously difficult opening days. They were dancing in the full range
of attire, from very little to bikinis. They still manage a uniform of
sorts though, with black and white checked stockings.
The music is of the rather loud dance variety.
I recognised a few faces previously from Club Boesche, and one such
girl proved to be a friendly drinking partner. So it made for a good
first visit.
But really, an upstairs bar with coyotes in the window really needs a
reassuring friendly beer price to get people upstairs to take a look.
Review by Rick G, March 2010:
Draught Free
There's an upper window where a couple of coyote dancers provide some
entertainment to passers by on Walking Street.
There's a long stair case to the upper floor and there's a pool table
at the top of the stairs. The main bar area is a large room that has
several small stages. There is comfortable white leather seating, some
bar stools and a collection of girls that looked a little disappointing.
Surprisingly, there's nowhere to put your drink next to the sofas.
My request for a draught beer seemed to cause some confusion. The
first girl didn't understand what I had asked for, so a second girl came
over and took my order. She returned a moment later, to tell me they had
run out of draught beer.
I will return in a week or two. Hopefully, the staff are more
organised by that stage.

Shows
Rocket A-GoGo upstairs on Soi Diamond seems to have taken a change of
direction. The previous manager Kuhn Artit has moved on to Gamebird 2 on
Soi 15. The bar has now become a bells and whistles show targeting
Asians and East European couples.
The welcome staff signs for cheap drinks have vanished so presumably
the drinks prices have inflated somewhat. Draft beer is 110 Baht and
bottled beers are 130 Baht.
The bar seemed to have more customers than in its previous
incarnation so must be doing something right.
Review by Mr Mats Oct 2008:
Rocket Play
I found a new place for me, Rocket GoGo.
Seated beside the jacuzzi I found two pretty girls and I could play
with them too. Very friendly and the service staff were nice to me - an
old man from Europe.
Draft bear 40 bath before 22:00 and 55 after.
Review Sept 2008: One Fatal Flaw
There are many good things to say about the bar, particularly for a
Thai run bar.
Drinks prices are good and there is a little hassle from the girls or
staff. All the usual gogo entertainments are there including the almost
inevitable Jacuzzi.
There seems just one thing missing, pretty girls!
Getting customers to upstairs bars is always difficult but its seems
that getting the girls to climb the stairs is nigh on impossible.
Review by Fontok, Feb 2008:
Nicely Laid Out
Rocket Club A-GoGo is situated upstairs on Soi Diamond
Access: They have chopped off the last few
yards of the beer bar below to make an entrance lobby. Go upstairs
(usual steep thai steps). The gogo is on the first landing. If you go
further up, you could find the room(s) for gogo girls that are too tired
and need to take a rest...
The Bar: Nicely laid out with good bench
seats round the edge and tables with chairs. About 8 girls on stages,
while two girls were washing in the Jacuzzi. Appears the changing rooms
must be small, so they had to wash in public!
Drink prices were sensible and sticky signs round the top of the
mirrored walls with the "price list". Draught Chang was 55 Baht.
Smokers: They have realised bout the new No
Smoking Ban and have converted one of the men's toilet cubicles into a
Smoking Room (or so the sign on the door says).--- quick thinking that!
Well done, even though I am not a smoker.
Yes, I will go back and give it another go. May not be many girls there
yet, but some friendly and I am willing to follow up their approaches...
I think the BF was 600 Baht, which is pretty standard these days. Did
not have the time to find of what the girls wanted... Most seem fresh
from the countryside, or so their dancing skills told me (I was taught
about reading dance skills a long time ago from an ex-gogo girl in
Bangkok).
Review from Bob, Feb 2008: More
of the Usual
Entrance is narrow staircase right before Paris a Go Go. The,
what has become usual, interior for new go go's - stage for 4-6 girls,
jacuzzi, comfortable seats, etc., etc., etc.
Line up was less then spectacular.
You really have to question the wisdom of someone opening a new go go on
the second floor as the season winds down. Even many of the ground floor
go go's can barely get more then a handful of customers these days.
Not yet worth the climb up the steps.

Roxy A-GoGo
Bar with gogo girls and sexy shows.
Opened July 27th 2006. The venue
previously housed Club Electric Blue.
Review November 2009:
Opportunity Knocks
With Polo closed as a show bar and with Angelwitch developing
something of a reputation for hassle, then surely Roxy has a good
chance to capture some of the trade for shows.
The bar has a much friendlier drinks price policy than Angelwitch
and there are plenty of good looking girls participating in the shows.
Perhaps the shows are a little less impressive but the more easy
going bar atmosphere makes up for the difference.
Hopefully the bar can therefore attract a few more show going
customers. But it is not really the sort of bar for customers seeking
company, the girls don't generally circulate the bar in search of lady
drinks and the likes.
Review April 2009: Good for One
Chang
A pleasant bar in which to stop off for a Chang beer which is on
permanent promotion at a very good price.
You will be treated to a good erotic show with some good looking
girls. If you catch the gogo shift then you will also find a stage
full of good looking dancers too.
Thinking about it, they have some good looking welcome girls too.
But from the good start, it all goes down hill a bit for me. The
girls don't seem particularly interested in carousing, at least
amongst the oldies in the audience. So usually the one cheap Chang is
enough, and I am off to find a bar where the girls are a little more
likely to jump on to your lap.
Review Sept 2008: Curtained Off
Since I last stopped by the bar has scaled down to half size by
curtaining off about half the seating.
It was probably about the right size for the amount of customers,
but I was unlucky and the comfortable seats were full. So I was guided
to a stageside stool which means I was highly unlikely to stay beyond
a single drink. I really really do like a comfortable seat for my
money.
There were about 4 pretty showgirls doing the sexy shows and about
a dozen girls doing the gogo dancing. Only one of the gogo dancers
took off her top and none of them offered so much as a smile to the
stageside audience of one.
There were a few dancers left over for hostess duties and these
were all cornered by a party of Japanese.
So with no interaction and an uncomfortable seat, it made for a
rapid departure. But apart from the always hated toilet jockey,
there's nothing too amiss about the bar. If they could have spared a
few girls for customer service I would probably be raving about the
place.
Review by Ray March 2008: Soft
Spot
I've always had a soft spot for this bar because it always seemed
like they were trying, even when it wasn't working too well, and I
quite liked the original layout of theatre stage and runway, which was
unique and suited some of the shows very well. It now has a center
island stage just like nearly every other go-go.
The supposed aim of the remodeling is to get the girls closer to the
customers, pity no one has explained this to the dancers, because
you're more likely to be entertained by a service girl. When I
suggested a ladydrink to a dancer sitting near me I pretty much had to
explain the concept. She then sipped the drink while staying a demure
six inches away from me. Not my idea of getting closer to a customer.
At least the bar now has service girls, which is an improvement, but
instead of replacing the service boys they seem to be supplementing
them. Curiously, the manager was formerly of Carousel, which also has
service boys. Perhaps he likes them. Anyway, I'm pretty sure customers
don't because there is always the suspicion that they are the
boyfriends of the girls, which is inhibiting.
While the remodel does make room for an extra row of bench seating,
which is a definite plus, this bar has always had seating layout
problems. The benches seem to have been made for a different bar,
being shorter than the wall they are up against, and apparently nobody
can figure out what to do with the corners.
The bar has always had a cold feel with its stone floor and glass
tables, and the remodeling seems to be trying to take the edge off
this with some artificial plants, including hanging some plastic pot
plants from the ceiling. It looks as ridiculous as it sounds.
The shows seem to me to be not quite as good as they were, but they
are pulling in the customers. Perhaps Roxy is The Future Of
Entertainment as it claims.
Review Jan 2008: Re-Modelled and
Improved
The previous large stage has given way to a smaller narrower stage
in the middle of the room. This has enabled more bench seating to be
added along the vacated side wall.
The new centre stage is also surrounded by stools for those that
prefer ringside action.
A similar mix of shows has been retained with standard topless gogo
dancing, interleaved with choreographed costume shows and naked shows.
There are also 2 new small stages one with a couple of 'nurses'
doing their thing. These aren't particularly naughty compared with
other bars and the nurses were bikini clad throughout.
There were plenty of pretty girls in attendance and there seemed a
fair amount of variety to keep customers entertained.
The improvements surely improve the bar and with 65 Baht bottled
Chang, the bar is very good value for money.

Review Oct 2009:
What's the Point?
I dropped by Sakura Club 69 and noted the welcome girls with large signs
for 35 draft beer. I ordered a draft and had a couple of beers. When it
came to the bill, the draft had suddenly become 60 Baht. Of course it
turns out that draft Chang is 35 and draft Tiger is 60 and the default
if you don't ask, is Tiger.
Now 60 Baht is not unreasonable and I wasn't unduly put out, but it does
leave a feeling of being a bit narked.
But I really don't understand the psychology behind the promotion. The
people who care about cheap beer will get a bit annoyed, in betweenies
like me get a bit irritated, and those who don't care at all about the
price of beer won't be enticed in by the offer in the first place.
It doesn't seem to achieve anything positive for anyone.
Review July 2009: Early Days
The bar is an attractive medium sized bar with girls dancing on a
central stage and also on table stages just ion front of bench seating
around he edge of the bar. There's a Jacuzzi at the back but it wasn't
being used. It was the 3rd day of operation and the bar seemed to
have accumulated a fair amount of dancers and a few were attractive
enough. Most of the girls were fully clad in bikinis but one or two
were topless. Probably just the girls being shy. The girls seemed to
be dancing on a very log stint which is usually a cue to depart for
customers sitting with a girl. It seems a bit of an academic point
though, as the girls didn't seem very interested in sitting with
customers. I was told that many of the girls were new to the work and
things should improve with time. There was a reasonably priced draft
beer at 60 but the rest of the drinks menu seem on the expensive side.
The last incarnation of the bar often disappointed due to too much
dancing and not enough hostessing, I rather fear this may go the same
way. Early days yet, and surely the bar will be trying a few things
out, but the first visit was surely a one beer affair.

The
Sea
Understated gogo with plenty of attractive girls but very little
extra entertainment to make it stand out from the rest.
Report September 2009:
Matriarchy
Still a bar that doesn't appeal to me at all.
There are always plenty of girls, many of them well attractive.
They have a fair few on stage and are generally topless or less.
The trouble is that the girls seem uninterested in finding a
drinking partner. The more attractive they are, the more they have a
stern resolve to march off the stage to their seat crowding around the
door.
It is the job of of the mamasang to try and match up the girls with
the customers. But this method leaves some seemingly unfriendly body
language interaction with the girls who have just marched past all the
potentially interested customers ignoring them.
The matriarchal controls also extend to negotiating with the
customers for the girls offsite fees. Again the higher than average
demands adds to the unfriendly atmosphere of the bar.
But if you just want to have a beer and watch some pretty girls on
stage, then the bar is sound enough.
There's also a good 55 Baht draft beer in a decent sized glass.
Report August 2009: Up Front

Reports that the mamasang is demanding an unrealistic 2500 fee (bar

Review April 2009: Non-Committal
A very basic smallish gogo that usually fails to get me to stay
beyond the first drink. The bar is generally blessed with a large
team of dancers several of whom are very attractive. They mostly dance
topless with a light skirt affair. The drinks prices are reasonable
with a 55 Baht draft beer. I am not keen on the way the girl
selection works though. It is one of those bars where the girls ignore
the customers unless the customer makes an effort to flag her down via
the mamasang. What's more, the prettier girls seem to have the
important job of sitting near the door and cannot be disturbed from
this critical work except at the command of the mamasang. The
trouble is with the system, is that having made the choice via the
mamasang, then the staff all seem to get pushy as if you had committed
to a barfine choice. But if you're happy with the way the bar works
then most other aspects are fine.
Review Sept 2008: Drifting
A perfectly good GoGo bar that has rarely persuaded me to stay for
a second beer. There are always plenty of girls on hand, of which
there are always a few pleasing on the eye.
Without studying it for long, I have a feeling that one of the
failings of the bar is that the cutest girls are given the job of
hanging around the door. Their job is attract in newcomers rather than
socialise with the oldie customers. Sometimes I have visited and the
girls have been very slow to glance around at the customers let along
stop by for a chat. This is not a hard and fast rule, it just seems
the average. Otherwise beer prices are good, the music is slightly
loud dance and the girls dress in the range of bikinis to nothing.
Perhaps unusually these days, there are no signs of Jacuzzis, showers
or play stages.
News July 2008: Showtime
The Sea A-GoGo has started sexy lesbian shows and the like.
Review Dec 2007: Girls Girls
Girls
The notable feature of this fairly small bar is how many girls
they can squeeze in. The recruitment agency clearly know what they
are doing. After having recruited the girls the bars seems to lack
imagination in using their undoubted asset. The bars is bog
standard, in all that it does is line up the girls for the customers
to cast their eyes over.
Drinks prices are reasonable and the girls are friendly without
being in your lap. Not bad but there are many more interesting
bars.

Shark Club
A-GoGo
Nominally table dancing but most notable for up close and personal
customer care. Drinks prices are expensive. Shark Club A-GoGo & Tiger
Lounge are in the same ownership.
Jan 2009: Shark Club A-GoGo has started weekly Friday party nights.
Buffet from 8:30 and fun from 10pm.
The bar has now changed the wording of its ongoing drinks
promotion. The 2 for 1 claims have been dropped and the welcome signs
now clearly offer Thai spirits at 2 drinks for 170 Baht.
News June 2009: Club or GoGo
The recently merged Shark A-GoGo/Shark Club still seems to be
finding its feet with a pretty variable experience depending on the
day of the week.
Although the bar is knocked through the, two ends of the bar still
have a different feel, presumably down to having a mamasang for each
end of the bar.
I very much recommend the Club end of the bar (ie above Super
Girl). For some reason the girls are far more likely to seek out a few
tips and hands on fun at that end of the bar. The girls at Soi 15
entrance end seem to be solitary creatures.
Both ends of the bar suffer from an over long dance roster of at
least 7 dance songs. I tend to take this is a cue to move on.
The music is always of the dance variety but wildly random volume
levels make for very different experiences. Sometimes it is very loud,
similar to Casnovy and sometimes the music is kept down. One has to
suspect that it's something to do with the boss being present or not.
Anyway I have certainly had a few good sessions mostly at the Club
end of the bar and it is definitely on my regular circuit.
News Dec 2008: Merged into
Shark Club
Shark Club and Shark A-GoGo have now been merged into one with the
name Shark Club A-GoGo. There are still separate teams of girls with
mamasang at each end of the enormous bar area, but the dividing walls
have been removed.
The Shark A-GoGo end of the bar now seems to have taken on the
procedures of Shark Club.
This include the girls being hands on friendly. I surely enjoyed my
stay in the bar. Seems a big improvement on the old Shark A-GoGo
Review Dec 2008: Enjoyable
The bar seems to have calmed down a bit from when I first stopped
by when it seemed one of the most lawless bars on the circuit. I now
enjoy the bar and nearly always seem to find a pretty girl to play
with. It is surely a hands on bar but not quite as raunchy as Windmill
or Babydolls. But by way of a compromises they have a regular supply
of very pretty girls.
There are usually about 20 girls in the bar of which 7 are dancing
a circuit of 7 tables. This leaves a fair amount of time for the girls
to get busy on their potential customers, but when they go dance 7
songs is too long and is often a cue to depart. The dancing dress code
is generally well revealing. The drinks are a little pricey but just
about within range. It seems strange that this bar is so much better
than Tiger A-GoGo and Tiger Lounge in the same ownership.
Review March 2008: Suck It and
See
I have never quite got the hang of this bar. It seems just a matter
of luck whether the girls are feeling naughty or demure. There are a
fair few pretty girls and perhaps not quite enough customers. So the
girls can get a little bored. But if you catch them at the right time,
they can be a lot of fun. The table dancers used to look for tips
but the excess of table dancing venues tended to put a stop to this
style of operation. The chances of bagging a pretty girl for a bit
of fun on your lap make this bar worth a visit, but one should be
ready to make a quick departure when there is nothing doing.
Review August 2007:
A One Beer Bar
The bar has several good things going for it but
somehow it rarely snags me for a second beer. The girls seem willing for a bit of hands on fun especially when they
get their teeth into a free spending newbie. On the other hand they
don't often seem animated enough to get the ball rolling so to speak.
There are usually a few pretty girls on the table
dancing circuit within the bar and there are memories of when a 20
Baht tip was expected in return for a up close view of the goods. The
novelty seem to be wearing off though and most customers just
passively watch. Perhaps the tippers now get better money's worth in
the Jacuzzi shows at other bars. The 55 Baht
draft comes in a good sized glass so the bar is competitive on prices
but may now be foundering on a lack of shows/features. And of course
steps up to a bar rarely help when times are slow.
Review Dec 2006: Less Predatory
The bar has about 6 table
dancing girls on the go at any one time from a pool of about 30 dancers
in the bar. They are not known for modesty when dancing. There are a
fair few pretty girls on hand too. When not dancing, the girls like to
join the customers for some pretty close range entertainment.
Things can get a little frantic as any jai dee (generous)
customer buying drinks in excess of their own will surely have to fend
off a flock arriving for tidbits. However the excess girls were easily
shooed away and took it with good grace. I think things could get a
little excessive for any newbies not quite knowing the ropes.
Good
company, reasonable drinks prices (and a correct bin) all made for a
pleasant stay.

Review March 2010: Dance Too
Long
I have never really found much to attract me to Silver Star, so it
has been year since my last visit.
The 'good' news was that high end drinks prices have been frozen for
a year, and the draft beer is still 'just' 95 Baht.
I didn't get far into the bar though, as I was recognised by several
girls dancing on the tables in the corridor area. It seems that half a
dozen of the Blue Lagoon girls have made this their new home.
Strangely the sofas in this section of the bar are already
dilapidated and it has only been open for a little over a year. It
didn't seem to be due to over-use, as I was about the only customer
sitting in the corridor section.
The inner section of the bar seemed to be doing good business though,
with plenty of girls and customers.
Anyway I didn't stay long as the girls dance for too many songs with
too short a break to make it worthwhile buying then a drink. Pretty much
the same as a year ago.
Review March 2009: Lonely
Corridor
The bar has now extended with a new section of the bar at the front
nearest Walking Street. Several table dancing stages have been added.
Perhaps a little bit early to judge, but it seemed a very lonely
entertainment area. There were dancers for each table but there were no
spare girls available for chatting with customers. As other customers
are continually passing through to the main area of the bar it felt a
little bit like sitting in a lonely corridor and missing out on more
interesting entertainment inside.
Certainly not worth the expensive 95 Baht for a draft beer. But no
doubt things will change, they'll have to.
Review Nov 2008: Location
Location Location
Expensive beers and hassle on previous visits makes for a rare review
for this bar. It also doesn't capture much interest from reviewers on
other Pattaya websites and in particular, on the forums.
But the bar was doing very well at a mid evening visit. Perhaps
comfortably half full.
There are also plenty of girls employed in the bar covering the whole
range of pretty to not. They had a naked dancing show for the prettiest
half of the staff and the stage was packed. Lots of eye candy. The
pretty girls suddenly vanished out of sight at the end of the show
though. Presumably there is an upstairs changing room and dancing area.
Nobody hassled me either which was a good job as the pretty girls
were upstairs.
I didn't stay beyond a beer, but I'll just let the number of
customers let it be a testament that the bar must be doing something
right...(Beyond being the first bar in Walking Street that is)
Review from Steve Feb 2008:
Unimpressed
I’ve been frequenting the Silver Star GoGo on Walking Street
recently, and have not been too impressed. In fact, after my last visit,
I don’t think I will ever go back there.
The drinks in this bar are over-priced. I can live with 120 Baht for a
gin & tonic, or 130 Baht for a lady tequila, but it’s the persistent
pressure from the service staff to buy then drinks that bugs me.
I can live with that, too, after all you can just say no. But then on my
last visit some nonsense started, with the mamasan telling the dancer I
was sitting with that she had to come and clean the bar instead of sit
with me between dances. Never mind the fact that the dancer was on her
third or fourth tequila on my bin! The girl told me it’s no problem,
just buy mamasan a drink and she won’t have to go clean the bar. What a
load of bollox!
The girl went back dancing, and I went to the hong nahm for a leak. When
I came back, some guy and his girl had settled themselves down in my
seat. Never mind the fact that it had two drinks on the table. Never
mind the fact that it had my bin full of receipts on it. Obviously,
after the ‘bar cleaning’ episode, this was just another way to show
their displeasure that I hadn’t bought a drink for any of the service
staff that night.
OK, I can take a hint, I checked bin and left and will not be going
back. And that’s another thing that annoys me about this place, the
bills are all poorly hand-written and it’s difficult to check the total
in the dim light.
There’s nothing wrong with the dancers in this bar, but the ‘service’
staff seems to inhabit a parallel dimension and the ‘shows’ are a waste
of time.
I met the same dancer from Silver Star in one of the more
reasonably-priced Walking Street GoGo’s. She told me that in Silver
Star, it seems, to stop the ladies leaving, they will only pay them for
the month after they have worked six weeks or more, so the lady will
always lose at least 2 weeks of pay if she changes bar.
So my advice is to avoid the place. Oh, and it’s Thai-owned, so don’t
bother complaining.
Review May 2007:
Quickly Established
The bar seems to have established itself quickly. I
visited it at peak time and it was more crowded than most Walking Street
bars at this time. And the customers seemed to be enjoying themselves.
There were about 10 attractive dancing girls on stage,
half a dozen were in a circuit that dances topless and the others were
in another rota and danced naked. There were the same number on hostess
duty whilst waiting there turn to dance
There were a couple of girls frolicking in a Jacuzzi
but past experience suggested that they can be bothersome on hassling
for tips.
The bar offers as much fun as many of the top names on
Walking Street. The only reason I don't visit more often is that the
drink prices are higher than average and that the bar allows too much
hassle for tips including a toilet jockey.

Review November 2009: More Comfy
It's been a couple of months since a change of ownership so I thought
it time to take another look.
The bar has installed more bench seating don the right hand side as
you enter the bar. Surely a good idea and maybe feels a bit closer to
the action than some of the existing rather remote seating.
There's been quite a few forum postings praising the bar and the
attractiveness of the girls since the takeover. I'm not really sure that
I concur. The bar has had a decent cast of girls for sometime and
continues to do so. Not much has radically changed. The bar is still a
show bar with lots of girls doing their stuff on various stages.
There is a shower cubical show, a play stage, a main stage packed
with ladies and a carousel extension where bikinis are banned.
It seems a good bar for a watching the girls on show. It is not
really so good for those seeking more personal interaction with the
girls. Most of the girls are set dancing and few are left to circulate
amongst the customers.
The bar has retained a competitively priced draft beer but other
drinks have drifted up in price.
News August 2009: Sisterz and
Dollz
Sisterz has changed hands and has been bough by Ken of Living Dolls
Showcase and Paul of The Dollhouse.
News July 2009: Show Bar
Sisterz seems to have found itself a bit of niche on Walking Street.
It has morphed into a show bar.
The bar seems to pack a fair few girls onto the main stage and then
has another 3 spots for show girls. There is a rotating carousel section
of the main stage, a smaller show stage and a shower cubicle/cage
affair.
The shows aren't really of the choreographed kind, just erotic ways
to get the girls naked. The bar makes for a lively atmosphere mainly due
to plenty of things gong on.
The drinks prices are reasonable, particularly as the glasses are
large.
So really a good place to watch erotic shows with reasonably priced
drinks.
Never seems to be a very good place to pick up girls though as they
spend most of their time dancing and not many of them use their break to
go working the audience.
But the bar usually has a fair few customers so surely it has found a
niche as a lively show bar with reasonably priced drinks.
News Feb 2009: Bucketfuls of Fun?
I am still struggling to enjoy myself at this bar. I am often tempted
in by the cheap beer and potential of the bar but somehow it never
happens. I always end up supping alone, half watching a stage overly
full of dancing girls that don't really inspire my jaded interest.
For my tastes they don't really need a stage full of average girls.
They should be getting some of them to circulate and look after the
customers a bit more personally.
Or perhaps they are just targeting a different sort of customer.
Their big thing as the moment is ping pong balls. There are posters all
around the bar showing ludicrously large quantities that you can buy if
you are so foolishly inclined. And if you would prefer a smaller
quantity, then that is ok too. There is a convenient bucket of balls on
every table should the ping pong moment grab you. Should you be wavering
in your decision to buy a few balls, then there are friendly service
girls on hand to periodically rattle the buckets for your encouragement.
Thinking about it, it may be my disinclination to partake in the
fleeting pleasure of a bucket full of balls, that may be the cause of my
ongoing loneliness in this bar.
But at least the drinks are reasonably priced.

Review November 2009:
Play Stage
Smile Girls A-GoGo recently had a quick re-fit. They have installed a
Jacuzzi/play stage replacing part of the central dancing stage.
Perhaps even better, they have re-fitted some of the girls ensuring that
there are now a few that are pleasing on the eye.
The very small size is surely very restrictive on the bar, as there is
nowhere for a play area with ringside seating. I am sure the girls would
be up for it. They seem quite hands on friendly.
The beer is still cheap albeit a smallish glass.
Anyway a good improvement at the moment.
Review September 2009:
Friendly Enough
A very small gogo that perhaps has done well to keep going.
On my visit there were 6 dancers of which 3 were dancing at anyone
time. The dress code was topless. Of the 6, only one would have been on
most customer's barfine list.
To give them their due though, the dancers were friendly enough and a
couple of customers were enjoying themselves.
Review March 2009:
Show and a Half
The dancing girls are not really up to scratch but seem friendly
enough if you want to be take care of. However there were a couple of
attractive showgirls.
They were pretty enough to get my interest but their show seemed
never ending so I gave up the notion. I was told that the show goes on
for an hour.
Review from Pattaya Polecat,
August 2008: Spoiled Regular
A narrow little bar with a dozen dancers, a handful of whom are as
pretty and playful as any you’ll meet in Pattaya.
One lady drink gets you a lot of attention – a 100-baht note gets you
some very intimate attention, I noticed last night – and it doesn’t take
long to become a spoiled regular.
Soapy/lesbian show around midnight.
News June 2008: A Challenge
It seems a Pattaya tradition to totally re-develop a bar each time it
changes hands. Perhaps it is psychologically easier to blame the layout
of a bar for its ills rather than the bar management or policies.
Anyway the change over from Rock Girls to Smile Girls breaks the
trend and has been implemented in a somewhat minimalist (read cheapest)
way possible.
The bar is somewhat aesthetically challenged in both decor and girls.
The bar is surely not going to attract any that pop their head around
the door for a look see.
I stayed for a drink and sort of watched the 3 or 4 dancing girls,
mostly bikini clad but one girl took offer her top.
The girls were making an effort to come and say hello but I was a
little ruthless and fended them off somewhat brusquely. At least they
kept trying rather than usual assumption that if you reject the first
girl then you are not after company.
There were a couple of attractive girls in the bar but as soon I
showed the vaguest flicker of interest, the mamasang was over like
lightening to hassle to buy the girl a lady drink.
All this did was hassle me out the door.

Review from RickG, March 2010:
Super Excuses
I
got there about 11:30 pm, and the club was not very busy. About 10 or 11
girls on the centre stage and the shower / bath area at the back was
populated by four attractive girls, but no one seemed to notice. There
were some very cute girls on stage, some of the hottest on the street,
hardly a bad egg amongst them. A couple of 9's a bunch of 8's and the
rest better looking than the girls at an average go-go bar.
As I sat
down, I looked into the eyes of one of the hottest girls in the club, I
smiled at her. To my astonishment, she smiled back. I offered to buy her a drink, she didn't respond at
first. I repeated my request and she agreed.
I had
just established that she was a local girl from Chonburi, pale skinned
and exquisite, she had worked at SuperBaby for four months and had a 3
year old son. I was just about to enquire whether her magnificent
breasts were completely real, when she started to clutch her stomach and
say she was hungry. She indicated she had her
own food, and she disappeared to go fill up, leaving her drink almost
untouched.
She reappeared just in time to start her dance cycle on stage. I
counted the songs, .. 6, 7, 8, 9, 10. Ten songs! this is ridiculous! I
am not a patient man, but this girl seemed worth waiting for. She had
been on stage for over 30 mins. Finally she collected her bikini top,
and headed off stage. But she disappeared in the crowd. I was surprised
to see she was sitting with some other guys.
I called
over the mamasang, and explained the story. She spoke to her and got
some story about thinking I didn't want her to sit with me. I protested
that I was not going to pay for a lady drink for less than 5 mins of
companionship, even with a hot girl, then kept waiting for 40 mins just
to be dumped. Without a moments hesitation she pulled the second slip
from the bin and told me I didn't have to pay for the lady drink. I paid
up and made a hasty exit.
This behaviour is very unusual. There is a kind of agreement that the
girl will sit with you till she has finished her drink. To walk away
without finishing a drink is a broken promise, that gets go-go dancers
and the club a bad name.
Review from Ishi, Jan 2010: The
Show Must Go On
Super Baby and Super Girl have show time again but just for Jacuzzi
girls.
The difference between normal time and show time is just brightness
(darker for show) and music (slower for show). The dancers on the stages
no longer change their costumes.
Of course the Jacuzzi girls are naked all time, so it's impossible to
change costumes for them. And the Jacuzzi girls dance as usual.
I happened to hear that the DJ said, Show Time. so I could
tell which is which. But I was not sure so I confirmed with a service
girl: Is this show time? She said: Yes. For the Shower Girls.
Review from materialsman, July 2009:
Faded Glory
Considering this was a Friday night, albeit in a supposed low, low season, I
have to admit I have never seen Baby so devoid of customers, shocking to me
really, considering the line up of lithe limbed young ‘hotties’ that is the norm
for a Bar catering to the discerning Asian gentleman.
The line up was pretty
reasonable, but they looked fairly bored by the lack of the 4-4-4 customers on
this particular evening, and I feel that as much as I like the ‘Japanese’ look
of the ladies, being an aficionado of their style of perverted pornography, it
didn’t suit some of the girls on stage, I think that sort of curly, back combed
hair look only works if the girl has the right facial features. So again we only
had a couple of beers in the place, and frankly without the customer base they
are famed for, the place is starting to look like a bit of a ‘faded glory’ Bar
at present. Still a fairly good line up on stage though, so they are forgiven
and I will always go back there.
Review from Pattaya Secrets,
Jan 2009: Super Market?
More like a meat market than any other gogo in Pattaya. I visit at
least once per trip, but one drink is enough.
Pretty girls, many slim, but after awhile the girls start to look the
same. Dress the same, dance the same, many with light coloured hair.
The music is crap.
Seen many guys (and not only Asians) call a girl down, she has no
more than a sip of her drink before she is off to the changing room. To
each their own and good luck to them.
Review July 2007: Pretty Much the Same
I sat down and ordered a coke and the service girl kindly pointed out
that it would be 100 Baht. The service is always spot on at Super Baby
with a high ratio of servers to customers.
As always there were mostly pretty girls upon stage although a couple
were a bit tubbier than I would have expected. The girls dance a
ludicrously long dance stint, but then again, they never have customers
who are waiting for them to return.
The girls were all dancing topless with a semi transparent skirt.
When they finish their dancing they wear a bra as opposed to a lighter
bikini top. The girls dance without expression or smiles or much eye
contact. This is under instruction rather than out of unfriendliness.
'Pick a number and go' bars are not really my thing but if that is
what you prefer this bar is still number one.
Review from polleke, Oct 2007:
Outstanding Line Up
I entered at 10.30 pm and found the bar half full with
customers and only a few Asian tourists.
I sat down and found the girls again very attractive, probably one of
the best line ups in Patts. They all dance topless, without any
expression on their face.
Realy had a good time and I felt even better when a couple of girls even
gave me a big smile.
A girl that sat next to me came over and asked me to pay her barfine
because another customer wanted to take her out and she rather wanted to
go with me. I felt like Tom Cruise. Only a few seconds though. She left
bar with customer 15 minutes later.

Bikini
A quick look around the rapidly revealed that not much is changing in
Super Girls.
There were still plenty of good looking girls coiffed up with Japan
pleasing hair styles. They were dancing a long spell on the central
stage followed by another song on a table dancing stage..
They were all dancing topless. But perhaps a subtle change is that
the girls were smiling compare with rather blank faces that seem to have
been mandated in the bar up until this visit.
A Jacuzzi has been installed in the bar a fair few months ago and I
was fascinated by the pointlessness of this particular attraction. There
were 3 girls partaking but there was no interaction between them. They
were all simply doing an insipid dance as per the rest of the girls on
stage. One may argue that the attraction is that the girls are naked but
as far as I could see the girls were busy forming the soap suds into a
replacement bikini bottom. Nothing to see of interest there then.
But as always, the bar seemed to be doing well with a decent amount
of customers appreciating the pick 'n' go style of the bar.

The bar is sticking with a well tried and tested policy of very good
looking girls and a pick a number and go selection method.
Maybe even the prettiest line up in town at the moment. Strange that
it doesn't really attract so many farangs as Happy and Peppermint and
several others. Well not so strange really, as perhaps the way the bar
works is more targetted towards Japanese and Korean visitors. There is
nothing exclusive about this bar though, all visitors are welcomed here.
Maybe something to bear in mind for anyone thinking that Pattaya gogos
are all members only.
Anyway there are usually about a dozen girls dancing on the central
stage with another couple at small podiums next to the main stage. The
dress code is topless with slightly see through skirts and no knickers.
There is also a Jacuzzi featuring 3 naked girls but I didn't see
anything naughty that you may come to expect from a Pattaya Jacuzzi.
Could have been down to a lack of tips though.
The music keeps the girls entranced to the point of being zombiefied
when dancing. By all accounts the girls are perfectly friendly if you
call them down from the stage. It is just the stage that is a smile free
environment. Saying that I did spot a few more smiles than I
remember from previous visits.
The drinks prices are on the high end of the scale but not our of
order.
Review June 2008: Super
Friendly
I generally avoid the Super bars as I don't really go for the vacant
unsmiling expressions and the general onus on the customers to select a
girl by number.
It is rumoured that the glum stare whist dancing is a nod to Japanese
guys preferring it that way.
Anyway I paid a rare visit to Super Girl and I caught the attention
of a happy smiling dancer who acknowledged a gesture with a big smile
back.
As soon as her dance stint was over she bounded over for a chat. She
was a bubbly girl and made for good company.
Surely out of character for the bar but I soon found out the reason
why. It was her first day there.
I promised to go back in a few days and check whether she has learnt
the zombie expression yet. I told her that it would be perfectly alright
if she decided to blank me out totally. I would put it down to a
successful induction into the Super Girl ethos.
Review from polleke, Oct 2007:
Nothing special
Sat down and saw an average bunch of (friendly) girls
dancing on a central stage and 4 in each corner. Some of them topless.
Stayed over for one beer and left Just nothing special compared to

Review from Pattaya Secrets,
May 2007: Super Suds
The bar seems to have changed its extremely
conservative policy and bowed to pressures to move with the times. The
bar has installed a Jacuzzi and a table dancing stage.
Some of the girls who preferred the original format
have now moved across to Super Baby.
However the girls still seem pretty emotionless and do
little to circulate amongst the customers. It is sometimes good to have
a hassle free environment but it makes for rather a spiritless
environment
Review Dec 2006:
Is It Hot Or Is It Not
I reserve this gogo to visit when I am showing round older friends or
relatives who would like to see what goes on in Walking Street.
The bar seems happy to cater for customers who clearly have no
interest in barfines and the like. So it is welcoming from that view
point. Also there is nothing overly naughty going on. Just a few topless
marking time or slightly swaying to the music. There a few shows to
break the monotony. They are nude but hardly likely to shock my up
country aunts.
The girls are young and pretty but dance with dance with a vacant
stare that simply does not engage or encourage the audience.
If a customer is into whispering a number into a waitresses ear, then
surely a pretty smiling face will appear that is hot and ready to trot.
The bored looking faces seem restricted to the dance floor. The girls
seem happy enough when supping on lady drinks.
If you don't whisper a number to a waitress then it is unlikely that
the girls will bother you off their own accord.
As a seasoned campaigner I prefer a bar where the sex is a little
more in your face. But those preferring a 'pick a number and go' type
bar seem to enjoy the offerings of this bar.
Similar style to the associated Super Baby, but this bar is the much
quieter of the two.

Sweetheart's

Table dancing opened 12th March 2007. The venue was
previously The Roof and before that, Highway Star A-GoGo.
Review August 2009: Open Door
The bar still seems to be doing quite well in drawing in some of
the passing foot trade that would otherwise give gogos a miss.
The bar has about 20 dancers of which 8 are dancing a 4 song shift
on 4 tables. The girls are all strictly bikini clad which is related
to the open door policy of the bar. Some if the girls can be quite
hands on, perhaps beyond what one may expect from an open door bar.
The bar features very reasonable prices for more or less everything
on the menu. The dancers and the staff are quite friendly and the
owner makes a point of a personal welcome too.
Review Feb 2009: Warm Welcome
Sweethearts still seems to be doing well. The open door policy
coupled with reasonable drinks prices seems to attract a wider range
of customers than most gogos.
The owner makes an effort to welcome customers which came as
something of a shock as I am not used to being sought out. I usually
try and hide away from farangs behind a lap full of girls.
The girls are strictly bikini clad and I guess this is coupled with
the open door policy. The girls are not quite top notch but there are
plenty who I would entertain on my lap. In fact I stayed single on my
last visit. I was coveting my neighbour's hostess, she was lovely.
Of the bars without shows or naughty stuff, this is one of the more
successful. Probably down to the cheap drinks and warm welcome.
Review May 2008: Open to the
World
The bar seems to have carved out a niche that is attracting a good
crowd.
It is just a little bit more inviting than most gogos. It leaves
the front door open so that passers by can see the table dancing
within.
The open door policy probably provides a little encouragement for
inquisitive tourists who maybe a little shy to venture into the
unknown of a closed door bar.
The bar is more friendly than most to South Asian and Middle
Eastern tourists too.
The downside for the more hardened gogo addict, is that the open
door policy means that there is no nudity or naughty shows for passers
by to see (or customers for that matter)
The girls are average but that still means that there are some good
looking girls.
The music is oldie farang and the drinks prices are very
reasonable.
Good to see a bar catering for a wider audience than most. There's
plenty of room in Pattaya for a bit of variety.
Review Sep 2007:
Still One Beer
The bar has policies in place to make this a
successful GoGo. The drinks prices are competitive and the barfines
are amongst the cheapest in Pattaya's gogos. There are always managers
on hand for a chat, or to sort out problems.
As a result the bar has now built up a large team of
dancing girls of which many are attractive.
The good policies enable a good bar, but actual fun
is still down to individually how one hits it off with the girls.
Unfortunately on my visits, the girls have been a little standoffish
and so I have rarely stayed long. There is no reason why others
shouldn't be luckier.
Another recent negative is that the bar seemed to
react more cautiously than most to the worries about a police visit.
The girls were distinctly overdressed when other bars were still
taking risks.
Review March 2007:
One Beer
The bar is pleasant on the eye with red as the
dominant colour and walls of mirrors as the dominant feature.
The bar has now attracted enough ladies to dance on
a 4 table rota with 2 girls per table. Saying that, there are not many
left over so the girls seem to spend most of their time dancing rather
than hostessing.
The girls were a little below average but were
generally making an effort with their dancing. They were mostly
topless and several were knickerless under light skirts.
Service was good.
Not sure where the bar will go as there was nothing
particularly special to stand out from the rest. Pleasant but the bar
only entertained enough for a single beer.
Review March 2007:
Later
I stopped by in the early days and the bar was
simply not up to speed. There were hardly any girls and there was
nothing remotely entertaining. There were a couple of girls on rest
duty but they keep themselves to themselves.
Only fair to leave it a while longer before a more

Review March 2010: Pub
The bar has dropped down a couple of notches as far as operating as a
GoGo is concerned. There are no longer any welcome staff on Walking
Street, so the customers are presumably now mostly regulars.
The bar still seems to have a fair customer base of guys out for a
drink and a chat with their mates. But I can't imagine many of them
taking much interest in the dancers.
There were 4 or 5 dancers on stage who were bikini clad and well
below the Walking Street average.
More a pub than a GoGo.
Review July 2009: Not So Happy
Hour
I paid a rather too early visit to the bar and it was very quiet.
There were just 7 or 8 girls in attendance with 3 on stage at a time.
an average crew but there were a couple that would turn heads. One was
giving the dancing a bit of enthusiasm too. Particularly impressive as
the rock music is not usually to the girls tastes.
A bit of a shame that the girls attempted to double team me. I see
two girl introductions as a sign of an exploitative approach to customer
care so generally discourage it (unless I know the girls of course)
The small glass of 65 Baht beer is a bit uncompetitive in these
austere times, particularly at the time when other bars are running a
happy hour.
From TQ2, May 2009: Old Style
GoGo Bar
We are an old style GoGo Bar that plays Rock and Roll music at a
level that doesn’t assail your hearing and allows you to talk
comfortably to your friends.
TQ2 is a place where you can sit back, relax and talk to your buddies
(or your telac) without losing your voice, and where you can listen to
some great Rock and Roll music whilst drinking some of the coldest beers
and full measured spirits in town.
This is also a bar where you can expect NOT to be hassled for lady
drinks.
Some people have said they feel a bit intimidated when they walk into
TQ2 because it has the feeling of a hangout bar where everyone knows
everyone else. Don’t worry we pride ourselves in making our guests feel
welcome. Remember all our regulars were once new to the bar.
Some people say they feel the girls ignore them, but the bar’s “no
hassle” policy ensures that you’ll be left alone unless you CHOOSE to
call over a girl. If you see one you like, just smile (or talk to one of
our friendly waitresses) and indicate that you'd like her to join you.
Also don't be put off if when you and your friends come in during the
early evening and the bar appears empty of other customers. We’re
primarily a late-night venue, but you'd be quite surprised how much fun
you can have with the girls when no one else is in the bar.
Whether it's Classic Rock or Heavy Metal we have some of the best Rock n
Roll music in town. If you have a favourite request feel free to ask our
DJ to play it for you. If he has it, he will, and the chances are good
that on your next visit he'll play it again for you without asking.
So if you find yourself in Walking Street come on down to TQ2 and I
and all the staff at TQ2 will do our best to make you feel at home.
Review Jan 2009: Easy Going
One of Pattaya's never changing stalwarts. It is very much an
American bar perhaps more allied with FLB or Secrets than other Walking
Street GoGos. Mostly a bar for socialising with mates. This does mean
that the bar is free of hassle and the staff are good at their jobs.
The girls seem left to their own devices. I know a few dancers there,
so they are happy to come across for a banter. If there are no girls I
know, then more likely than not, I will get ignored. Sometimes if the
girls are too insular then they don't look around for audience
responses, so it can be hard to signal interest.
TQ2 is one of the bars where the music is for the benefit of the
customers rather than the girls, so rock classics are the norm.
An easy going sort of place that is good once you've got some one to
chat too. But it can be a little hard to hook up if you don't know
anyone there. Parties and events at the bar seem a good success as
everyone seems to know everyone.
Review April 2008: Slipping
Back
TQ2 has been round for a fair while and for most of that time it has
been a bar for guys, mostly American, to get together for a chat. The
gogo girls were a bit superfluous and tended to get ignored. And as a
result, the only girls who put up with the bar, were those who justified
being ignored.
More recently the management had a change of heart over the gogo side
of the business and got manager Russ to kick it into shape. This effort
was very successful and brought TQ2 back onto the gogo map.
That was until Russ was fired in February 2008.
The current state is that the gogo side is slipping into bad old ways
but there are still plenty of girls and some of them are pretty and
willing.
However they seemed to have lost interest in a sexy dancing show.
Bikinis are again the order of the day and even these are tending to
give way to bras and shorts.
I still enjoyed the visit though, especially when an old friend
popped onto my lap.
News Feb 2008: Heads Roll
Jil in Pattaya is reporting that Russ has been fired from TQ2 in Soi
BJ just off Walking Street.
Russ had been instrumental in transforming TQ2 into a good gogo.
Previously it was a good bar for Americans to have chat whilst ignoring
the dancers.
Anyway there is a
tale to tell at Jil In Pattaya

The bar has now changed the wording of its ongoing drinks
promotion. The 2 for 1 claims have been dropped and the welcome signs
now clearly offer Thai spirits at 2 drinks for 170 Baht.
Review March 2009: Tiger Stirs
Tiger Lounge is in the same ownership as Shark Club A-GoGo and on
previous visits was very much the poor relation despite operating nearly
exactly the same as Shark.
The difference previously was that there were simply too many dancers
dancing and not enough left to look after the customers. On my last
visit they had recruited enough girls to provide some individual
entertainment for the customers.
And sure enough, the girls had a good hands on attitude to customer
service and indeed a good time ensured.
The dance circuit is very long though, so as per Shark Bar, when your
girl 'go dance, then it is often a cue to move on.
The draft beer prices have recently crept up 10 Baht to 85 Baht for a
decent sized glass.
Review March 2009: A Long
Safari
Tiger A-GoGo has now been extended so that the open space between the
bar and the stairs has been incorporated into the bar. It somehow makes
for neater and more enticing entrance.
No doubt it will have to change soon but the extended operation is a
disaster.
About half a dozen new table dancing positions have been created in
the new front section of the bar. The bar seemed to have just added
these new positions into the dance rotation such that the girls now have
to dance 8 songs. Way too long for the girl, and way too long for any
customer waiting for their return.
In fact 13 girls were dancing out of the 19 names on the white board.
Too much dancing and not enough taking care of the customers.
If you do try the bar it is best to sit in the back section. The
girls start their long stint in the front section and tend to congregate
there just when they are about to start on their dance marathon. Better
to watch from the back section to catch them as they are finishing their
dancing.
Review Dec 2008: Gone A-GoGo
The upstairs bars in the Tiger Shark Complex upstairs on Soi Diamond
have undergone a bit of rework. Tiger Lounge was originally a coyote
dancing bar but this has consistently proved a difficult concept to make
a success. About 6 months ago the bar mixed in lingerie clad girls amongst
the coyotes. Now the bar is a full gogo with the traditional mix of gogo
attire and none at all.
There are about 4 girls dancing on the central stage and another 3
dancing on podiums set amongst the bench seating.
The conversion seems to have a drawn a few more customers in and has
therefore been able to employ a few attractive dancers.
Prices are the same as for the newly merged Shark Club A-GoGo next
door with draft beer at 80 Baht and other drinks at the high end of
reasonable.
Review July 2008: Lingerie
Lounge
I climbed the stairs on the strength of reports suggesting that the
Tiger Club A-GoGo had re-opened. Tiger Club was dark and I somehow got
shepherded into Tiger Lounge instead.
At the last visit, the bar was a rather lifeless coyote bar with a
side stage at the front of the bar and pool tables at the back.
Nothing had changed in terms of layout but half of the dancers
had given up their coyote shorts & tops in favour of sexy lingerie that
reveals all.
There were half a dozen dancers on stage and several were attractive.
There were another half dozen girls awaiting their turn.
Not sure how this fits in with the reports of the return of Tiger
Club. Perhaps they have already merged the two bars. Hence the mixture
of gogo and coyote.
It all seemed a little low key to make much impact but I will have
another look to see how it is going.

Review February 2010: Catz Toyz
Catz A-GoGo is now Toyz A-GoGo. A few familiar faces suggest that it
is more a re-branding than a total change of direction. Nothing has
changed in terms of layout or decor anyway.
Perhaps early days, but the bar was operating below my minimum
threshold of a worthwhile venue. There were just 6 dancers present in
the bar at about midnight... And 4 of them were dancing.
As has usually been the case at Catz the girls were attractive. But I
prefer a bar where the attractive girls have time enough to sit at your
side.
Hopefully will get enough momentum going in the near future.
Review October 2009: Steady
Eddy
There's plenty of competition going down at Covent Garden at the
moment with Bangkok models, naughty stages and a price war on draft
beer.
But Catz seems pretty much unfazed and continues just as it has for
the last couple of years.
The bar has maybe 15 girls of which 5 or 6 do the The Pattaya shuffle
on the narrow central stage. The girls are generally pretty and dance in
bikinis or topless. The girls dance for 5 or 6 songs but if you are
waiting for a girl this can drag as the tracks seem very long. There's
no other entertainment as a diversion either.
Dance music is the usual fair but at least it's on the lighter end of
the scale.
The bar isn't the friendliest place in terms of a chat with the girls
but there a few that may approach and the mamasang is usually on hand to
press the more reluctant girls into service.
A pleasant bar for a beer but this rarely extends to two beers.
Review May 2009: Well Behaved
There are many good things about Catz and I regularly pop by for a
quick beer.
The bar now offers very competitive drinks prices and barfines. It
has a fair amount of girls generally above average and the service staff
are friendly and generally hassle free.
The toilets are also hassle free and sufficient for the size of bar.
So all in all I would characterise the bar as one of the good boys of
Walking Street.
But of course Pattaya customers are not always after the well
behaved, and want something a little 'badder'.
Review December 2008: Non Event
Catz seems to have become something of a non event.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with the bar in many ways though.
There are usually a few pretty girls dancing, the drinks are reasonable,
the decor is attractive, there's no hassle and there are usually a few
friendly expats having a chat down the back.
But there is nothing particularly positive about the bar either. The
girls aren't hands on friendly, there's no sexy show (unless for special
occasions) and there's no play stage or Jacuzzi.
I always find the really downer is that when the girls go dance,
they dance for 5 loooong dance music tracks and there's simply not
enough entertainment to entice one to stay.
I used to drop by for a nightcap but when the bar gets depleted of
girls, the remainder are nearly all dancing, leaving little chance of
even a chat.
Still a bar that has a good turnover of pretty girls can't be all
bad.
Review by Ray, March 2008: Once
is Enough
Catz is a well presented bar at the smaller end of the scale although
not as small as some. It is set out as a classic "shoebox" go-go with
comfortable bench seating down both sides and a narrow island stage in
the middle. The bench on the right is sub-divided into three booths but
they are too large to be considered private having two tables each.
There are about fifteen average girls, a couple eye-catching, a couple
less so. The dance roster is one-on one-off with over half the girls on
stage at a time. There are no shows.
My first visit was initially off-putting, the girls weren't showing at
all and they all seemed to be wearing Morality Ministry issue
customerproof knickers. However the girl that volunteered to take care
of me was willing to show me anything I liked once the ladydrink was
ordered so the on-stage modesty was probably just because the police
were on the prowl.
My second visit went completely the other way. This time the girls were
showing and the customerproof knickers were gone but so, apparently, was
the warm welcome. I bought a girl a ladydrink but when the girl I had
spoken to previously came off stage and came over, the first girl just
walked off. The girl who had entertained me before knocked back a couple
of ladydrinks and went back on stage without making much of an effort,
and I got the distinct impression I wasn't supposed to come back.
I could have just been unlucky in my choice of girls but they didn't
seem to want to entertain or be bar-fined, although they were happy to
take the ladydrinks. I felt my money was welcome but I wasn't.
Tellingly, on neither visit did the bar have more than a handful of
customers, none of whom were being particularly well entertained.
One visit to Catz is quite enough.

Review February 2010: Friendly
It's never easy to start an upstairs bar, at least until people start
to feel confident that the fun will be worth the climb.
Sure enough the bar has yet to get an awful lot of momentum going and
there were just 7 dancers on duty. 4 were dancing, 2 were resting and 1
girl was doing her thing on a play mat.
The girls were a mixed crew but a couple were attractive enough.
Not really setting Soi Diamond alight but the girls were friendly and
the management seemed flexible enough to get the girls sitting with
customers rather than dancing.
The drinks prices were reasonable and a friendly hands on girl easily
convinced me to stay for a few drinks.
Hopefully the friendly staff will be a good basis to build up a bit
of momentum for the bar.
Review from Ishi February 2010:

mat was being brought into play should any of the customers be willing

At about 9pm on the first night the bar was lacking ladies leading to
just a quick look see.
There was a play mat but it was not being used at the time. There
were just two dancers in the bar and they were both wearing bikinis.
It is usually difficult to get girls before the bar opens so a return
visit will be in order after they have had a chance to get going.

News, October 2009: I Don't Go to
GoGo's to Watch Pretty Girls Dance!
The upstairs gogo has made a few alterations since it closed a few
months ago. Sensibly it has created a new flight of stairs directly up
from Walking Street. This provides a much clearer focus for the welcome
staff to usher people in.
Once inside, the entrance has shifted a bit but the bar is still
rather dissected in two the same as before. The Jacuzzi has been taken
out and the regained area has been filled with backless stools arranged
around small tables.
I opted for the couple of comfortable bench seats still remaining.
There is still bench seating along the side of the long stage at the
other side of the bar but this wasn't being used.
There were 5 very pretty girls dancing, being coaxed into quite an
energetic effort by one of the extensive management team. The girls were
dancing in bikinis or topless depending on their wishes.
The music is DJ selected and is more heavily into dance tunes than
most gogos in Pattaya.
There were another half dozen girls waiting their turn to dance but
they were hidden away around the corner.
There was no interaction between the dancers and customers.
Presumably the bar is being targeted as a watching bar with energetic
dancing as the main draw.
Me, I don't go to GoGo's to watch pretty girls dance, I go for a
little more in the way of personal interaction. But a bit of variety is
always welcome for those with different tastes.
Draft beer was 55 Baht but I am not sure whether that is the happy
hour price or for all night.

News March 2010: Lacking
Imagination
I would have reviewed the bar a month ago but on my previous visit
the bar was packed, and the only remaining seats were reserved for
sardines. So I did a U turn and vowed to try again another day. I did
note that the there seemed to be lots of interaction with plenty of
customers were enjoying themselves.
Perhaps there was a party or something on, but on my latest visit,
the bar was totally lacking in customers or fun.
There were 8 average girls (one very good looking) spread over 3
stages with half in full coyote gear and the other half in shorts but no
top. The bar has a couple of placidly bucking broncos on the central
stage which seemed a totally un-erotic idea to me. There was a girl
doing her own soapy thing in a Jacuzzi but the remainder were just
dancing. The girls were quite energetic in their dancing though. There
was no sexy show on the play mat stage.
But worst of all there was no attempt by the girls to get the
slightest bit interactive with any of the handful of customers. The
girls were working in two shifts and the off shift quickly vanished to
various loos, changing rooms and welcome duty on the stairs. Most of the
time there were absolutely no girls available to chat with customers.
Given the expensive drinks, this must rank as one of the biggest
waste of money bars in Pattaya. But maybe it will be heaving again on my
next visit.
News February 2010: Re-launch
After a stuttering start for What's Up Imagine, the new
upstairs bar has had something of a re-launch. The drinks prices are now
set a little lower and the same as downstairs. There are now plenty of
girls providing a grande spectacle of naughtiness. And the customers
seem to have arrived in great numbers, at least on Saturday night.
News from PattayaGhost February 2010:
Less Expensive
Drinks prices have bee reduced to the merely expensive levels of
What's Up Playgirls below.
Review from Ishi February 2010:
Not So Cheerful
The opening time has been changed from the 9pm previously (I think)
to 10pm.
I was in the Imagine from 10:30 to 11:10 on Saturday night. There
were always less than 10 customers. There were about 7 dancers.
Imagine is not so cheerful because of high prices and few ladies.
Lady Drinks are 135 Baht and the bar fine is 1000 Baht.
Review from
Pattaya
Rag, January 2010: Prices Up
Tried out What's Up upstairs and with beer at Bt135 a bottle they
need to be doing something special. Sadly it was anything but so it was
one expensive beer and back on the street.
Maybe I caught them on a bad night...... When you think some very
good bars sell draft at Bt60 a glass then What's Up needs to deliver
something above and beyond to justify it's prices.
Review by Ishi, December 2009:
Imagine What's Upstairs
What's Up Imagine opened on 23rd December. It is the name given to the
upper floor at What's Up. The original ground floor of What's Up is now
named What's Up Playgirls. The stairs up to Imagine are inside
Playgirls.
There is a main stage in the center. Four sub stages are around the
main stage. 2 of them are Jacuzzis.
The basic color is white. The dancers are dressed as angels or
fairies. They dance slow and sensual even to fast music.
The drinks prices are different on each floor and customers have to
settle the bill before moving floors. The prices in Imagine are a little
more expensive than those of Play Girls. Eg coke is 125 Baht upstairs
compared with 115 Baht downstairs.

News from Ishi, Dec 2009: What's
Upstairs?
What's Up (Officially What's Up Play Girls) is set to
open its upstairs floor.
It will be called What's Up Imagine and will open on 15th
December 2009.
Imagine and Play Girl have the same entrance and to
enter the Imagine we have to use upstairs. One of the staff said
that the concept of Imagine is different from Play Girl. I
can't guess.
Reader review Nov 2009: Jacuzzi
Tips
The performance at the Jacuzzi is quite interactive and enjoyable.
Although there is a girl, the pretty one who she thinks is the queen of
the town and she is a bit rude.
They don’t ask for a drink at the Jacuzzi, but a tip is very welcome. A
20 Baht note is enough, although you will need more than one tip if you
continue.
The performance at the stage didn’t interest me at all, just the
Jacuzzi.
Beer Singha costs 115 Baht, a little expensive.
News May 2009: What's Up
The bar is expanding into the upper floors (last used as Fantasia
Bar). The first floor will be an expansion to the gogo complete with
Jacuzzis and the second floor will be short time rooms
Review April 2009: Bar Owner's
Dream
What's Up must be every bar owner's dream. The bar charges top dollar
for more or less everything and at the same time is more less packed
out.
Over recent years the put some good sexy policies in place with their
Jacuzzi and mattress play areas. They also had the idea of getting the
showgirls to go clambering amongst the customers in the nearby seats.
All good stuff but for me the bar has simply got too expensive. The
beer has gone up from the 60 Baht draft level to no draft and 125 Baht
bottles. And the bar fines seem to be more or less set at the top end of
unreasonable and can be doubled should a temporary opportunity arise.
Whilst I appreciate the entertainment talent of the show girls, I am
not sure what the rest of the audience are enjoying. The girls on the
main dancing stage seem somewhat demurely dressed and most of them seem
to sit by the door rather than go out mingling.
On my last visit I had a beer and a brief chat with a showgirl I
know. As a gesture to the inflated drinks prices I offered the odd 20
Baht note change to my friend rather than leave it on the tray. Another
girl spotted the tip and made a surly remark about it being 20 rather
than 100. Just about sums up What's Up.
Review by Pattaya Polecat
August 2008: Number One
What’s Up continues to hold number one position in Polecat’s Hall of
Gogo Fame, with its 2 unique selling points: steel rings suspended by
chains from the ceiling, which the main-stage dancers hold on to instead
of poles; and the mostly good looking playgirls on the side-stages and in
the shower professionally contracted to keep up a constant erotic
dance-motion.
The latter are now kitted out with white leather bondage straps and
collars (but no knickers, of course), and, when not wrapping themselves
round each others’ bodies, or flailing mercilessly at customers with
lengths of rubber hose, like to pull themselves up on the rings and
somersault, scissoring their legs gracefully or remaining suspended,
hanging like bats. Take care if you sit in front of the shower, though –
a sleek naked body is likely to descend on you and squeeze your head
between its soapy brown thighs.
The barfines for the playgirls are 800 baht short-time, 1,200 baht
long time, with an expected 2,000 baht short-time fee – which of course
helps keep them in the bar.
Review May 2008: High Bar Fines
Sometimes a bar can get too successful and What's Up has gone beyond
what I consider to be a good place to visit. The bar fines have gotten
very high. The girls quote with high expectations too, and even then,
the mamasang urges the girl to get back as quickly as possible.
However the bar does deserve the success. It has pretty girls doing
naughty things whilst retaining good close rapport with the customers.
The girls on the play stages armed with the foam tubes seem to be
wearing a few more clothes than they used to.
Probably one of the better bars in town for those not too concerned
about the prices. But for me, it has become a bar for just an occasional
visit.
Comment from Mike, Sep 2007:
What's Up
I visited on Friday had my usual drink – diet Coke 95
bhat – returned on Saturday and ordered the same drink – 110 baht –
questioned them and it was “Sorry only 95 baht.”
So check your check/bin before leaving. Otherwise the talent is very
easy on the eyes
Review, Aug 2007:
Audience Participation
I stop by the bar quite often but rarely get tempted
to stay for more than one beer.
There is always plenty going down on the two show
stages or in the Jacuzzi. The girls entertain well especially with a
little audience participation in return for a tip. However the girls
seem to be playing to the audience as a whole rather than getting pally
with anyone in particular. And if you do ask, the girls have some very
pricey expectations.
I reckon that barfining is not so common as you may
think amongst the show girls. Maybe its a good thing that there are bars
to entertain those who prefer not to take the girls
There are also plenty of standard gogo girls but I
have never really hit it off with any of them. I have a theory that
one's body language puts the gogo girls off as one eye's frequently
stray to the naughtier goings on stage. They probably pick up that you
would prefer to be drinking with the show girls.
Still it as great bar to have on the circuit and one
quickly sees that most customers are having a great time there.

Review from RickG, March 2010:
Super Fun
I stepped inside, and felt like I was intruding on someone else's
orgy. Windmill re-defined raunchy and interactive some years ago, and
most other clubs have been trying to catch up ever since. Well tonight
Windmill was clearly way out in front again. This was friendly, raunchy
and interactive like you have never seen before. Girls were running
around in various stages of undress offering various parts of their
anatomy to anyone who was in the mood to interact. And tonight everyone
was interacting. For most of the time I was there, there were only a few
girls on stage. Meanwhile, there were more than 20 girls creating their
own kind of fun with guys in various parts of the club. At one point
some of the hostesses stripped off and got up on stage to make up the
numbers. By the way, the dance cycle at Windmill is only 4 songs.
Windmill doesn't have the hottest girls on the street, but it does
have the friendliest, most fun girls you will find just about anywhere.
At most other clubs, girls will introduce themselves by holding out
their hand. At Windmill, the girls will approach you, pull aside their
bra and offer one or both breasts for you to fondle, or else will
approach butt first, skirt raised to engage in some rhythmic gyration.
At around 2 am, several western couples wandered in, and sat down.
After a few minutes in Windmill, even the stern looking elderly matrons
were smiling from ear to ear. Once inside Windmill, all this debauchery
seems like the most natural thing in the world. If you're feeling
inhibited or a little stressed step inside Windmill for an instant cure!
Windmill has draught beer at Bt 75. The best value for money in town,
considering the entertainment! Lady drinks are Bt 120.
Reader review Nov 2009:
Interacting
It's the bar I like the most for the moment.
It's worth having a draft beer (75 Baht) and watching the performance at
the stages. They are quite interactive and enjoyable.
I hate the bars where girls just dance trying to be sexy (sometimes they
don’t succeed). In this bar, I even don’t need to bother looking at the
dancers, the girls interacting with the customers is all that is needed.
The performance at the Jacuzzi was a little poor; they were just having
a shower, nothing hot.
A tip or a lady drink is required when the girls are 'interacting'.
Review by jj, July 2009: Well
Worth the Time
Popped into Windmill about midnight, seating was so tight that many of
the ladies were occupying the laps of customers; I'm sure to save
space. About half of the Windmill staff spend more time nekkid than
covered; even the covered are only using two pieces (no knickers).
Rather than being the focus of attention, the dancers (mostly topless)
are a side-show to the nekkid ladies in every corner. All in all well
worth the time; plenty of up close and personal attention by the
staff.
Review from materialsman, July 2009:
Packed to the rafters
On to the Windmill Club, a Go-go Bar that I have seen so many
recommendations for over the last few months that I was really looking forward
to visiting, having not been there for a good couple of years. And lo and
behold, just when you are thinking Pattaya is devoid of customers, you enter
Windmill, and there they all are, absolutely packed to the rafters, couldn’t get
a seat for love nor money, had to perch in front of the DJ booth to the side of
the Jacuzzi.
First impression was that the place was rocking, whilst true, once the smoke
haze had cleared I got the impression that it was all a little bit seedy and
skanky, I know some people like that sort of thing, quite a few judging by the
number of bums on seats, but I don’t really feel comfortable watching skanky
girls being eaten out on stage by sweaty fat guys, perhaps I am strange but I
prefer a little more decorum when I am out enjoying a cold beer or two. Fair
play to the Management though, they are giving the public exactly what they
apparently crave, and making a great success of the club, just not one I shall
be returning too with great frequency.
Review Feb 2009: Always Busy
From what I have witnessed Windmill is awarded the Naughtiest Bar of
the Year. And guess what, customers love it. The bar is always busy,
often full and sometimes impossible. I really don't understand why a few
more bars don't copy the format.
And yet assuming that I can find myself a seat there always seems
someone free to take a bit of personal care.
The drinks prices are reasonable but the barfines are on the
expensive side. But it doesn't take a market analyst to understand why.
The girls are all busy and presumably earning.
For a small bar, Windmill seems very influential on the rest of
Walking Street too. There are no end of girls that I know that are
'trained' at Windmill and move on to other bars. But their good attitude
and understanding of customer satisfaction seems to set them up as
leading lights in their new bars.
Review Sept 2008: Coping with
Success
Windmill is a regular stop on my rounds. It is one of the most
consistently fun bars on Walking Street. And it is the surest bet when
Walking Street is both busy or deserted.
If the bar is quiet (not often), then you'll soon get the offer of
company, or else you can go play with the girls on the fun stages.
When the bar gets busy, the small bar is soon full. This restriction
on customers ensures that there are always enough girls to go round.
Perhaps compared with Baby Dolls which is similarly fun, but is big
enough to allow in more customers than girls...(And then it may not be
so much fun if you are unlucky enough to be left without a girl on your
lap).
Another thing I like about a popular bar, is that the chances are
that your regulars are busy and you get a chance to play with someone
new girls without snubbing old friends. Of course if you simply fancy an
old friend, you just have to visit a little earlier when the bar is
quieter.
Some of the girls are troopers, but it almost a necessity of the bar
to be good company and offer good customer care. The popularity of the
bar ensures a good turn over of pretty girls to complement the longer
stayers.
Drinks prices are reasonable, as are all the usual customer policies.
Thus ensuring that customers who enjoy this style of entertainment
become regulars.

X Zone A-GoGo

X Zone A-GoGo
Very large gogo with multiple stage including the very
interactive soapy stage. Opened December 2005. Very expensive beer.
There is a 20% discount card available
Review February 2010: Lucky Dip
X-Zone is a fairly popular bar that caters for those that like a
bit of hands on fun.
It is also a very large gogo that maybe requires a few too many girls
dancing just to fill the stages and make it seem lively and atmospheric.
The net result is that I have often stopped by and there have not
been enough girls to go round. So now I pause at the door and survey the
bar. I just check that there are a few girls available for customer
care.
Assuming that this is the case then the bar is good fun. There is
always a naughty table on the go with a few toys to play with. Otherwise
the table dancers are generally a fun loving crew with a fair few that
are well attractive.
The serving girls can be fun too.
Review May 2009: Draft Beer
The bar has always been on my occasional visit list mostly due to
having expensive beer. Previously the cheapest option was a 125 Baht
bottle but now they have recently added a 70 Baht draft.
Interesting that none of the welcome placards tell of a draft beer
option. If I don't see the option of a cheap beer on the welcome signs
them I assume the bar is expensive. Surely worth writing the option on
the signs lest there are others who make the same assumption.
The bar was doing fine with a fair few customers dotted around but
there was still lots of room for more.
The girls were friendly and fun so I will have to drop by at a time
more conducive to a longer stay.
Review December 2008: Twilight
Zone
The bar had some good times earlier in the new year when new owners
managed to acquire some girls well trained at Windmill.
Most of the elements of a good bar are still in place but it has
gently declined from its peak.
There is still a naughty play stage, a Jacuzzi and a fair amount of
dancers in the entire range of costume.
From a personal point of view I put it down to slightly poor value.
The lack of draft beer makes it more expensive than most for beer
drinkers. The room charge requires a full barfine on top of the room
charge which seems unreasonable for the short time away from the bar for
the girl. Also the girls are quite demanding on the tips for the play
stage and Jacuzzi. Maybe the dance stints have historically been too
long as well.
A bar that tempts me to stop by, but somehow never quite succeeds in
getting me to stay long.
News from Pattaya Secrets
May 2008: Sold
X Zone has been sold to new Belgian owners. Hopefully they will
maintain the momentum of the last few months and retain the popularity.
The previous owners are said to be planning on a new Walking Street
gogo ready for the start of this years high season.
Review by Ray, March 2008: Living
up to its Name
As was reported here, X-Zone has acquired a mamasan and a few
showgirls from the more popular Windmill Club. On my first visit it
seemed that importing a couple of dirty girls and their sexy show into
an otherwise ordinary go-go was a bit of a gimmick, unlikely to last,
but it was early, both in the week and in the evening, and so I decided
to check it out again at weekend peak time.
It's often occurred to me that the larger bars could try a little harder
to provide secluded corners for private play. I'm not particularly shy
myself but I do sometimes resent providing a free show for tightwads.
The three booths on the right as you enter X-Zone are just what I have
in mind.
On my second visit most of the girls were busy taking care of customers
but the rear corner booth was occupied by a couple of dejected girls
apparently too plain and small breasted to attract any custom. On the
principle that if there's one thing a girl hates more that being pulled
about by an unattractive customer it's not being pulled about at all, I
ordered up a couple of ladydrinks and set about getting them out of
their bikinis, which took about five seconds.
In the privacy of out little corner we soon had some very uninhibited
play going on and the Windmill girls were quickly matched and surpassed.
All it cost me was a couple of ladydrinks and red notes, good value in
my book. Ironically, they ask you to go outside if you want to smoke a
cigarette.
X-Zone is finally starting to live up to its name.
Review March 2008: X Marks the
Spot
X Zone seems to have had a revival of fortune and has attracted a
room full of pretty girls. The customers seem to have appeared from
nowhere.
From a couple of enquiries, the improvement is down to the
recruitment of a mamasang from Windmill who had a following of pretty
girls. And of course the girls are well trained in providing some good
naughty shows which are now performed at various points around the bar.
Certainly worth a follow up visit.

Notes |
The reviews are those that I come across on
the web, in guide books, from contributors and of course from my own
visits. Reviewers may be unreasonably harsh and bar owners
may present a rosy picture of their bars...so don't take everything at
face value...go and see for yourself.
Nudity
cannot be guaranteed and whenever the Pattay police are on the prowl the
girls cover up. Closing times are sporadic depending upon local
enforcement. 2am or 3am is now the norm.
Anyone with Middle Eastern or South Asian dark skin
should be aware that they may receive a rather negative welcome. 90% of
gogo bars have unspecified entry restrictions which can be hard to tie
down as different people have had different receptions. Unwelcome faces will be told at
the door that the bar is suddenly a members only club. Discriminatory
maybe, but it is for real, it is based on experience, and it is
supported by those who care about the welfare of the girls.
Just a couple of times people have had
a bad experience in a bar which is perhaps the fault of an individual
employee rather than bar policy. More often then not, the bar would be
more than happy to deal with offsite problems even when it is not
strictly their problem. To try and be fair to the bars, offsite
complaints about employees can only be considered for inclusion if they
have first been presented to the bar involved.
