Listing the bars of Pattaya
The following reviews are those that I come across on
the web, in guide books, from contributors and of course from my own
visits. Reviewers may be unreasonably harsh and bar owners may present a
rosy picture of their bars...so don't take everything at face value...go
and see for yourself.

Short time bar now with coyote dancers.
Review, thanks to PGGG, Jan 2008: Prices
Lady drinks are 75 Baht. Barfines are 400 Baht for hostesses and 500
Baht for coyotee dancers with an additional 75 Baht if no lady drinks
has been bought.
I hear the Coyotes are 800 Baht up until 10pm, as no dancers mean the
customers don't stay in the bar as long, which is a fair view by the
management to protect their beer sales.
Receptionists BF is 600 Baht IF THEY GO OUT, which most do not!
The girls rates are more gogo than beer bar.
Note that there are convenient ST rooms and the price is included in the
ST barfine (which is rarely mentioned, as they want to hit you for the
LT rate and have the evening off. It also helps them meet their "Off"
target). If you pay the ST rate the girl has to return to the bar when
you are done.
Review by polleke, Oct 2007: Lots
of girls
Popped in on a Wednesday evening and was welcomed by 3 girls outside.
Inside there were lots of girls most of them pretty to very pretty. 11
of them dance on a small floor. this are the most prettiest ones.
I had a very good time that night. Don't know exactly on the drinking
prices because I got a bit carried away for being my first night of a 2
week stay in Patts.
Even bought a lady drink for 1 of the 4!! mamasans.
Barfined a dancing lady for 500 Baht (Hostesses are 400) and 2000
Baht LT.
Will pop in again next week again!
Review from Pattaya Chat, March 2006:
Wai Popular
It's a covered-on-top beer bar with a ton of girls working there, and
most people can find someone to their liking. It's also a hang out for
many expats and veterans of Pattaya. It seems to be one of those places
that punters like a lot or do not like at all.
As you walk in it's customary for their girls near the entrance to wai
you with their hands. They have some girls who are dancers...the bar has
3 tiny stages with one pole per stage that 2 girls at a time can dance
at. Some of the girls are dancers and get paid a little extra by the
bar, most do not get up and dance. They don't use go-go outfits, but
each girl dresses in what they want, although they must have been told
to dress on the sexy side... They also have a pool table in the back.
Their bar fines were based on what time of the evening you paid
bar....the early time would result in a larger bar fine, late at night
it's less. Somewhere in the 250-500 baht range on a graduated scale.
Also it would depend on if you were taking her short time or long time.
These girls don't command Go-Go-girl prices, but more along the standard
price (maybe a bit higher) for short time and long time.
65 Baht for a bottled beer. Girls were asking 1000 Baht short time,
1500 Baht long time.
Autumn 2005: use-by date
The bar is lively and pleasant enough but the ST rooms
double as night-time accommodation for the ladies - I estimated five to
a room. They are very tacky smell of dried smoked squid, tiger balsam ,
chillies and cheap scent.
As you can
see from their website, many of the "girls" are way past their use-by date.

If, like the Polecat, you’ve been putting off

Nightlife Roundup
Review
2006: First Fetish
Fun Town's first fetish establishment, called
The Castle, opened its rather imposing heavy door for business in late
December 2003. It specifically caters for those whose tastes in fashion
run to whips, chains, PVC, latex, and leather.
The place was opened by the same French management
who operate a similarly-named fetish joint in Bangkok. The gear, which
also includes nurse and schoolgirl uniforms is being supplied by Pattaya's
premier fashion house Boutique Sexy (their showroom is in Naklua Soi 33).
In order to get punters in the right sado-masochistic
mood, the first drink in the place will set you back 900 baht. All drinks
after that are just a trifling 200 baht. The management stress this is not
a drinking bar; it is a place for like-minded people to come and indulge
in their favourite fantasy. To really keep the screws turning, there is
definitely no copulation on the premises, no matter how excited you might
get over the sight of a couple of latex-clad damsels beating each other
with an overripe cucumber. If you want to engage in something un-natural
like sexual intercourse then fork out the 1,500 baht bar fine and take
your leather feather duster and your lady back to your place.
The Castle has a dress code of which the colour
black is one of the necessary component parts. It opens at 5:30PM and
closes at 2:00AM and at present has a staff of around 14 dominatrixes/submissives
who have been trained by an Englishman. A lady drink is a suitably
humiliating 250 baht, but the
bar has a strict policy dissuading damsels from asking for a libation. The
choice is completely up to the customer.

Club BLU
Stylish coyote dancing bar opened 1st February 2008.
Lady Drink Blog, April 2008:
Looking In
I strolled past Club BLU and the lighting is very effective. One's
eyes are drawn towards the coyote dancers and the near perfect view of
the rest of the bar.
It must be the most un-private bar in all of Pattaya. Sure there are
lots of open bars, but this one positively grabs the attention and
simple makes one peer inside.
There are advantages and disadvantages to an open bar. If the bar is
popular and has plenty of pretty girls then surely the owners want to
show it off.
As it was with Club Blu I walked on by, there were plenty of pretty
girls dancing but most of the customers were sitting on their lonesome.
It made for a cold looking atmosphere. Now if there had been a private
area I my have come to the conclusion (right or wrong) that that is
where the action is and popped in to see for myself.
News from
Pattaya
Rag, Dec 2007: Coyote BLU
The new bar at the corner of LK Metro and Soi Buakhao will be named
Club BLU and should open by mid January 2008.
The ground floor will be a coyote dance club, the 1st floor a lounge
with 2 short time rooms. The 2nd and 3rd floor will be guest rooms. On
the roof will be sun beds and an outside shower.
The owners have a good track record of attracting talent eg at U Too

Crazy Dave's
Shophouse bar & diner
Review from Pattaya Chat, Feb 2007: Value
I know it is not the classiest joint you can find, and
his TV adverts probably put off as many people as they attract, but it
was actually rather good and incredible value. He does an English
breakfast at 60baht and one he charmingly calls the 'Fat Bastard' at
100baht. I had the Fat Bastard and it was very good. It came with tea
and toast and butter and had everything: bacon, 2 sausages, 2 eggs,
black pudding, fried bread, mushrooms, beans etc the lot. Incredible
value at 100 baht. And quick service as well.
Looking at his prices Crazy Dave's must be one of the best value places
in Pattaya. Certainly, worth a trip up the soi if you fancy farang food
in the middle of the night.
Oh yes, 'Only Fools and Horses' was on the big screen TV whilst I was
there.
March 2006: Cheap Chang
Best thing about it is the atmosphere (feels like it's been there for
30 years, very comfortable) and the 35 baht Chang. Love the grilled ham
& cheese.

From
Pattaya Pages
Eden Club has now opened for business with hours of 13:00-24:00. The
large neon sign was not illuminated and there were no welcome staff nor
even an 'open' sign. Perhaps needs something to assure people that it is
really open. There seems to be about half a dozen girls there mostly from the Bangkok
branch. It is hoped that local girls will soon follow to take advantage
of the premium pricing. The rooms are said to be nicely furnished with large beds and TVs with
DVD player.
News Dec 2006: Soft Opening
Eden Club will have a soft opening on Tuesday 19th December. The
bar is currently recruiting and it is hoped that this will speed up when
the girls can see the bar in operation.
News
from
Pattaya Secrets,
Dec 2006: Adam And Eves
The club will have a total of 12 rooms for in-house sessions (four
larger ones and eight smaller ones).
The pricing and policies will be identical in Bangkok and Pattaya. In
the beginning, the Pattaya club will have about 20 ladies on staff, with
four or five coming from Bangkok to help with the training of the
Pattaya hires. After that, ladies will be rotated between Pattaya and
Bangkok.
Eden is a bit different to other places in that there is no interaction
with the ladies before making your choice and that drinking beer is not
the main intention.

Fairly new bar in the soi, Belgian owned and located under the Thai
Archer guesthouse. The bar is nice, well fitted and decorated, popular
with the Belgian and Dutch fraternity, pool table and great Belgian stew
on the menu.

Review from
Pattaya Addicts
June 2007: Packed
Jane's dares to be different. It offers all Thai beers at
35 Baht a bottle, Thai whisky for 25 and proper whisky for 50, including
mixers. It is packed every night!
Catering very much to the ex-pat retiree crowd it has become known to
the Thais who work the street as the Bar Gaer (old people's bar).
With lots of seating, friendly if slightly worn staff, a pool table and
an attached burger van, Jane's dishes out the Pattaya bar experience on
a budget for those whose pensions need to be stretched a little.
Ok, so the bargirls stopped being girls quite a few years ago and you'd
rather take them back than take them home but the crowd is warm and
welcoming and, just as in any likeminded neighbourhood bar back home,
you see the same faces in the same seats every night.
I like it very much.

Blowjob bar
From the
Yellow Board,
February 2006: Doing the Biz
Most girls were only average at best but they dress them up in the
same plaid skirts and white blouses you used to see at The Classroom
gogos.
This is actually a real nice bar. The downstairs area has a bar, a pool
table and a nice aquarium to divide the room and make it appear more
cozy. A girl dutifully followed me in and took a drink order as I sat
down on a comfortable sofa.
We talked for a while. The bar isn't doing that well in Pattaya and the
owners had set up a rotation schedule with the girls from the Bangkok
Lolitas. The girl I met was from the Bangkok bar. She said this bar was
much much nicer, but she made more money in the big city. She asked if I
wanted to "go upstairs". I inquired about rates. 600 inclusive, no
tipping necessary.... unless I wanted to. So far so good.
For guys who don't like the exhibitionist quality of the Soi Post Office
bars, this is probably the place for you. The "upstairs" consisted of a
hallway of about 10 short time rooms. The rooms are probably only 8 ft
wide. Just big enough for a barber chair, the modern kind, a table and a
sofa.
Since we had privacy, I wanted to see her body. She seemed to think this
was kind of unique and got into. She sat back in the barber chair and
gave me some porno poses before getting down to action. She was very
very good and I gave her a 200 baht tip.
I would have gone back several times and probably been a very good
customer, but did not find the bar at all friendly, which may be part of
why they aren't doing much biz.
July 2005: Fun in the Dentist Chair
A fine selection of hostesses and its
extremely out of the way location makes Lolita's 'Hideaway of the Month'
The bar is actually located in an L shaped soi connecting
Soi Diana Inn with Soi Buakhao.
In the private area on the 'dentist chair', prices start at Bt600. In the private,
full-service rooms, prices start at Bt1,500. Well
not quite so private as the room walls don't go up to the ceiling so you get to hear
your neighbours in action.
There are also girls that will cater for ladies, or couples There
is also a pool challenge. Stake 100 Baht on a pool match against the
house and if you win you get a free blowjob

Metro Apartments sports a lively bar. It is now air con and has 3
free pool tables (as long as you are buying drinks). It has several
TVs for satellite sport and friendly staff to play pool with if you

Review from Pattaya Chat,
Jan 2007: Friday Party Night
Owned by Steve from Cork , claims he's the only real Irish bar owner
in Pattaya.
Nice atmospheric Irish bar, not really into sport , more music based
, always a good fun bar. Holds legendary parties every Friday night , if
he can't find a reason to have a party, he'll make one up.
From the bar, May 2006: Irish
Buzz
If you like the buzz and atmosphere of an Irish pub you wont go wrong
at Murphy's Law, it is the only genuine Irish owned pub in Pattaya.
Although it is small; the owner Steve from Cork is a great host,
every one is greeted and made welcome, and introduced to the other
customers, you'll feel like a regular on your first visit.
Unusual for an Irish bar it doesn't have an 'Irishy' theme but Thai
style decor and a cozy feel. The prices are noticeably lower than other bars
and the staff while attentive are not pushy.
Food can be ordered in from any of the many close by resturaunts.

Bugle, Sept 2007: Good Place
We went out for a quick and easy feed: partaking of the 99-baht
fish-and-chips in Neeroys restaurant. That was a good place for the
price we paid.
Review by Tim, Oct 2006: Sorry to Say...
I made it a point to go the Nee Roys as your site said it had good
Indian food.. Well it was a costly trip via Baht bus.. but I though the
food would be worth while..
But sorry to say.. the food did not live up
to my expectations.. In fact it was in MY opinion poor.. the people were
nice.. the price for the beer was OK.. but the food was poor quality..
had their Chicken dish.. poor.. had their curry potatoes.. poor.. they
did not even have Lentils.. the mainstay of a good Indian meal.. Nan
bread.. OK.. but nothing special..
Review from

April 2006: Better than the UK
If there are any Indian food lovers, may I suggest NeeRoy's on Soi
Chaiyapoon almost facing Crazy Dave's. NeeRoy's is quite cheap for

famous for this sort of food.

The bar has a Thai guy singing every night.

Guys from Outback were also spotted barfining girls from Soi 6 to try

Coyote dancing. Previously St Tropez. Beware of the girls asking for

News April 2008: Intermittent
The bar was reported to have gone dark for a few days early in April 2008.
The bar seems to be suffering after a long period of expensive
pricing and lots of hassle from the girls.
Review
from Pattaya Addicts,
March 2007: European City
Centre Bar
Papagayo is a very well laid out hostess bar , plays a
mixture of music, mostly euro pop and can at times have a lot of very
nice ladies, including many freelancers.
It gives off a vibe of a European city centre bar, and is fairly unusual
in Pattaya, probably best compared with Secrets, which I think is the
nearest to its type, but I would say Papagayo just shades it in style,
music and atmosphere, not to mention sexy ladies.
Review
from
Pattaya Secrets,
Oct 2006: Bored
This Coyote club was an outstanding place up until 6-8 weeks ago but
has simply fallen apart. Certainly significant staff changes and I
believe management changes too. The standard of the girls has dropped
unbelievably, they looked bored and fed up and actually even say that
when they do speak.
Perhaps rather sadly its only true asset at this time is the excellent
air conditioning!
Barfines are 400 Baht, bottled beer 70 Baht and lady drinks 100 Baht.
Review July 2006: Early Hours
I got waylaid whilst passing by a familiar face from soi 6. She had
joined the bar as one of the service girls dressed in gold. Stopped just
for a drink to watch the dancing girls start their shift. The dancing
girls were well fit and one I saw was almost impossibly slim. At the
start of shift there were two dancing girls on stage, one in each corner
of the bar.
Plenty of attractive girls on duty at the bar and by all accounts
many more turn up throughout the night.
The drinks were 70 Baht for a bottled beer and a reasonable 90 Baht
for a lady drink.
Review from
Pattaya Talk,
June 2006: Cool is Hot
This is an excellent bar for a late drink. Air con and opens very
late depending on custom. I was there at 5am one time. The décor is
slick and they have a few dancing girls. Prices are competitive (Beer 90
Baht and Vodka Lippo 110). They are now attracting freelancers, but I do
believe they charge a 400 Baht barfine. I always had a lady with me and
all of them loved the place. They play a wide range of music from oldies
to Techno and even throw in the odd Thai rock song, which goes down a
storm with the girls.
March 2006: Late Night Action
It has five short time rooms upstairs and a lot of freelance in late
night. It is open most nights till 4-5 morning. Lady drinks at about 100
Baht.
